Bought this system thinking it would be DVD quality since that is what Swan advertises. Daytime video had a lot of pexilating going on little flash's of red in area's. Night time don't expect to see anything other than it looks like a blizzard is going on from all the noise in the picture I blame this on the Camera's not so much the DVR. The camera keep recording non stop because of the noises and lowering the sensitivity wont help. They need to pair up this DVR with some better Camera's. Needless to say I uninstalled everything and back it went. Now on to a HD system try that.

I bought this system to upgrade a lower resolution system I currently have installed at my house. The night vision was terrible. The camera couldn't see anything outside in the dark beyond a couple of feet. I placed it next to my current camera installed outside pointing at my back door. In the dark, my old camera can show the entire house and the fence beyond the house. The Swann camera couldn't seen the house. The video was totally black unless someone walked up to it. I even called tech support thinking it could possibly be that bad and that I was missing some sort of setting. They apologized that it didn't meet my expectations. If you want to use it inside only, the video did look fairly clear and decent, however, outside it is useless. I packed it up and took it back.
