It works outside which is great because it does get weather, sun and some rain. I was looking for a flood light because we get alot of movement at our front door - we get alot of packages. There have been recent thefts also. I feel great and safe with the light as a deterrent. The voice control is also a nice feature. We had to install it, but that was pretty straight forward. Totally recommend this!

I had some anxiety putting in a wired device but it was so simple..remove the light that was there, twist 2 wires, mount .it was as simple as that. The camera is terrific. I can definitely attest to it being waterproof, we had what felt like a week of rain since installation and it works like a charm. The 4k feature provide super clear film anytime of day..the night vision is nice at night. I wasn't sure what to make of the heat sensing feature but it's terrific in minimizing false alerts...something random blowing thru the filed of vision (like a rain storm) and it won't shot me a motion alert. It a pretty nice feature since I live in a wooded area. added feature of 2 way communication & the available flood light that can't be used as a stand alone thru the app feature which makes the dual purpose lighting a true replacement. for any floodlight on your house. It is managed thru the app which has become a major convenience for me when I am outside and need a little light..no more running into the house

Simple little backyard camera/light

When it's dark, the kids can still play outside because the lights are pretty strong. Camera quality is also great with and without the lights. Installation is a little bit annoying, the fact that it still uses the electrical cables to give it power. Solar powered would be a major plus to this.

It gives me the extra light i needed and an additional camera for my system. Pretty easy setup if you have an existing light fixture to replace and have at least minor electrical knowledge. Light is bright but not blinding and camera quality is good!

Awesome quality cam / video and bright lights

Easy outside light replacement.

The app was an easy download and it found the security light right away. It took a little while to find my network as I have a mesh network and even though it was set to mixed, I needed to bring it closer to my actual router to connect to the 2.4. So thta part took a little more time. Outside of that, it seems to work good.

Great floodlight camera

The part that locks the camera with the base is broken and have to head back to store to get an exchange. The installation of camera is complicated and I have to hire a professional to wire the power. The camera quality itself is ok. The light is very bright though. Most importantly, the camera doesn't require any subscription plan.

Floodlight Purchased for Deer Shack

Easily hard wires to existing porch light. With a 32 gb sd card this has been great to watch my property without internet service. This is WiFi capable but, this is still functional without it. Allows us to watch the property with simple use of sd card. Loaded with tons of other features; talk and listen, heat and motion if you do have internet connection. Has a siren activated by motion to deter crime. The camera can even detect license plates! Connected easily so would definitely recommend.

Versatile Security Camera with Floodlight

It is a hard wired camera but it meant that I could put it under my deck and does not need direct sunlight like the other solar cameras I own. Great video quality like my other SWANN cameras and simple to install. I have little to no electrical knowledge but it was fairly straight forward to install. I found some helpful YouTube videos for install. Bonus that it could be installed on the ceiling or wall!

Pretty good but only on sale

Otherwise pretty responsive. Its very bright like blinding at times but provides great light for a patio or front of garage. Night vision is okay, sometimes blurry with internet connection problems but thats probably a internet problem. Wish it was better.

Property is secured and Security is FIVE STAR!

Was not expecting this item to be extremely sensitive to small movements. We do have little animals such as cats, squirrels, rabbits in our neighborhood and the camera would send alerts with every movement detected. Clear image quality and resolution! Simple install

I bought this to replace a current flood light and I only have minimal electrical knowledge. I just unscrewed my old flood light unscrewed my old wire connectors and then screwed everthing back together with the new one. Flood lights are as good as my old ones and now I have a security camera as well.

Great Security add in to my System

It is wired so if you don’t have a ceiling mounted light today you will have to have an electrician move your wire. This is not DIY. If you have an existing floodlight this is for you.

Great Camera For Nighttime Use

I like the ability to turn on the flood lights from your phone when the sensor doesn’t pick up your movement. My driveway is steep and long, so I’m still working on getting the right angle of the sensor to get its full use on my driveway. This camera must be hardwired in, it isn’t battery powered like most Swann lights.
