The Swiss Gear backpack holds my 17 inch Origin PC laptop, power brick, iPad and assorted cables. And it still has room for additional small books, papers and accessories. It's very sturdy--I've had one for 3 years, bought this one for my college-bound daughter. The extra padding in the main compartment has saved my laptop from countless dings and scrapes. My only 2 wishes are that they would offer the same size/style in different colors and that they would make it a little less narrow up top. Everything fits, but the zipper is a little snug on top with a 17 inch laptop.

I got this for my high school aged daughter to carry her Asus 15.6" laptop around and she absolutely loves it. It's good sized but not bulky and very comfortable to wear for a long time. It has a ton of room inside, even with a laptop in it. You can use it for just about anything you'd need a day backpack for with lots of little storage compartments that are easy to get to for accessing smaller stuff. Good quality build as well. Not cheaply made. I highly recommend this backpack.

I honestly love this backpack. I purchased it back in September for the start of the semester and have not had any problems since. I carry my laptop around in the backpack as well and my laptop has not been damaged or even scratched while being hauled in the backpack. I can hit my backpack up against my car when loading or unloading it, and my laptop is still protected due to the padding along the whole back portion of the backpack. The backpack is large enough to carry a laptop, along with a bunch of school supplies. The backpack is also very strong and durable.

I use this to carry work/school stuff in when I go to work or have to leave the house with school work or my computer. It is a good size and has good protection for my computer. I like the purple because it gives it a little bit of color and not so manly.I also like the different small pockets to store stuff in and it also has a pocket for a small tablet or e-reader. Good product over-all

My 15.6 laptop is well cradled in a padded area with an elastic strap securing it. I love all the little compartments and pockets to stash/organize. When fully loaded, it does stand fairly upright on its own. Shoulder straps are padded and comfortable. I like the extra pocket for the tablet in the secure area. Not water-proof but should stand a brief downpour. Construction is very good. Material durability appears adequate, although I would have preferred a reinforced, waterproof, bottom shell. Love the color, very nice pack!

Have had the laptop bag for a month now. It has a lot of room, fits at least 17 in laptop. light weight, but good construction. also has good amount of padding for laptop.

Great pack, has lots of storage and compartments, my daughter has this as her school backpack, and it is totally comfortable. I've be evaluating the craftmenship and stitching, each week and it is holding it's own, seams to be worth every penny. I dunno, how she managed to destroy the previous school packs, but this one is the one for the long-haul.

This backpack is not only stylish and lightweight, but it protects my laptop and tablet very well with a lot of space to spare! I couldn't have chosen a better laptop backpack. It's comfortable on my shoulders and I carry it everyday. I love the pockets on the sides and the 3 front zip areas! It was well worth the price!!

I love the pocket options to utilize space. It is comfortable to haul heavy textbooks across campus and fashionably appealing. The only critics I have are more personable preferences so take with a grain of salt. The front two pockets a difficult to find what has fallen to the bottom and the flap allows pens and items to spill out if opened too far. The straps are super long and dangle too much. It says it is self standing but mine falls all the time. I love the color and it is very stout in handiwork materials and design. It was out if my ideal price range for a backpack, but for everything I wanted and my favorite color it was easy to pay for because I knew I would love it. You can always trust a Swiss product.

PRO's: Bought for my wife so she can carry her laptop around the university. She' loves it and it's light enough to not be painful to lug around. Has a nice protected area to store the laptop and enough padding between you and the storage area to not get poked with a hard edge. CON's: The color - well, it's a con for me...the wife loves it...just sayin'

I can fit so much in this bag. I'm a full time college student and work full time as well, so I carry notebooks and textbooks and extra clothes, lotion, snacks, you name it! It's heavy but it all fits !! Comfortable on the shoulders too. Love all the pocket sections as well.

This is a great backpack. It fits my laptop and tablet in one area, and in another area I am able to comfortably fit two books and corresponding notebooks as well. Plus, I have room to store my cords, water, keys, etc. It is not overly bulky or difficult to carry, either.

This backpack is made from great material. Most backpacks I looked at were made out of material that felt more like plastic than fabric. This backpack is clearly made from durable material. I have no doubt this will last me many years. I take the bus to and from work while taking classes part-time and I needed a way to bring my laptop and textbooks safely to work with me so I could work on homework during my lunch breaks. This backpack is great. It holds its shape, protects my laptop and holds everything I need like charging cords, and even my purse or any other items I need to bring with me to work. I don't even think about my laptop because it is so well protected with all the padding and straps to keep it in place. I even had a place for my ipad. Excellent backpack. Well worth the purchase.

I am proud of my purchase, I used it to carry everything from Alaska to Las Vegas on the plane, even overloaded it fit comfortably under the seat in front of me. It was easy to carry, and easy to access the computers and use them after we were airborne. I felt comfortable with the protection it afforded my computers, and even found myself comparing it to others backpacks, and found it to be more fashionable that all the others that I saw on the trip. After we returned to Alaska I used it to take along on my birthday trip to Seward for the wildlife and glacier trip. There was even room for a few extra clothes for the 3 days we were there. Thanks for the opportunity to find a great bargain.

I really like all of the compartments in this backpack. It holds my laptop, ipad, external drives, mouse and much more. The colors are really appealing as well. Well constructed so I think it will last for a long time.

This backpack is awesome. It it well organized, and comfortable to wear. Your hands are free, and it is much easier to maneuver through the crowds at the airport. I have packed away the roller laptop bag I used to use.

I love this laptop backpack. It is excellent for traveling and the separate compartments make it easy to organize. The purple color is a nice change to the normal black ones.

After searching for several days, many stores, I stumbled upon this backpack in the center aisle of best buy. I had found another bag that I love but it was far more than I was willing to spend. Luckily, this bag had all the features I was looking for and it was far more reasonably priced. It's sturdy and well made. It has many pockets, room for a few big text books, pen holders, bottle holder, and laptop/ tablet divider cushioning. I'm very happy with it, and I'm a picky consumer.
