It has controllers similar to that of the xbox and Playstion, but still retains some tracking of the remotes. It works fine in the TV craddle, but I wish the cradle enhanced the console somehow. On the other hand, it works very well on the go. For example, I was playing split screen Mario Kart while camping in the north woods. That was pretty flippin awesome, I recommend you try it sometime.

He loves being able to continue the game anywhere. Initial setup was easy and the versatile "joycon" controllers are easy to use and stay charged a long time.

The Switch is a blast!

The Switch was already a hit in our home so longer battery life equates to more time away from docking station without needing to charge.
