No doubt, a LOT of R&D went into this product and I don't doubt that a lot of smart people made the best choices they could. The fact remains that the power port on the bottom of the console and the cramped, unintuitive design of the joycons, as well as the unreliable connection they have with each other and the console, are all marks against an otherwise well-crafted handheld/home console hybrid. It could certainly be more powerful, but to know that this is the power of a device that can literally be grabbed and taken on a plane ride or a trip to the store with a seamless experience and no danger of losing progress or data is nothing short of a marvel. Nintendo has delivered strong, if gimicky, features, once again. All the same criticisms of any Nintendo console remain, so go read any number of reviews for the Gamecube, Wii, or Wii-U. If you want a Switch, it's a good buy.

This was an excellent gift for my niece, all of 5 and she’s had it with her since receiving it. I love that it can entertain her, but also that she can access apps as well as play games with friends/family. Great buy!!

You can't go wrong with Nintendo. Something about this system brings the kid out of me. I would only recommend looking into buying memory for the amount of games that you would be playing.

I saw this was available & figured I should buy it before Christmas. I bought it mainly for my daughter (mainly?). She has played it over her cousins house & it is very fun to play. Also, the option of taking it with you if you're in the go is very helpful.
