Fun for everyone

My 6 year old has lots of games that he can play on his own. Mario Kart reminds me of my childhood playing games with my dad- so having a nintendo system is always a must in our house.

If you're buying this primarily as a Home console

I've been playing Pokemon Sword which is delightfully old-school AND broadcast in full color and to-die-for graphics on my tv-screen. What I would recommend, for the lazy like me, is to download the games rather than purchasing physical copies as it does make switching from one game to another so much easier.

Console has a lot of fun games

Straight out of the box, the controller did not work. I had to bring it back to the store the next day, and they were willing to let me trade it in. They said if there was something wrong with the new unit, I wouldn't be able to trade it in again, and I'd have to go through Nintendo. They pushed a 2 year warranty on me in the event that there was a problem with the new unit. The new unit worked great, but after a few months, I started getting problems with the left joy con (a known issue). I'm just dealing with it for now since I'm pretty sure the warranty wouldn't cover the controller and I don't want to mail it into Nintendo.
