I've seen this movie several times and never get tired of the plot, actors, and intensity! Hugh Jackman and Don Cheadle were great and Halle Berry shined. The versatility with John Travolta always amazes me. He creates great quirks and personalities of his characters. Awesome opening scene!!!

1) Yes, it's true, Dominic Sena's last directorial effort Gone In Sixty Seconds was a MAJOR dissapointment BUT SWORDFISH ISN'T!!! It's a good movie! 2) Travolta is good 3) Halle Berry is good 4) Don Cheadle is underused and 5)Hugh Jackman is a major star in the making. 6) The now infamous scene of Halle Berry topless was probably unnecessary and perhaps gratuitous (but hey, she's a good looking woman with a good body). Sorry, did I say good? I meant great...but if this is the only reason why you'd watch this movie, then you really do need to get a life. 7)This was one of the better films of the summer. 8)It is neither formulaic nor does it lack ambition. Unlike most movies of this genre it challenges it's audience to excercise the old grey matter and it's got a half-decent twist. Sure it has some faults, like did they run out of money for FX when they shot the scene of the bus landing on the roof? And the change of pace and edit from past events back to present was badly thought out and jarred a bit. BUT you know what? I liked this movie and the directorial set-piece that everybody wants to spoil for you by describing it to you in every detail is excellent. I only wish the moviemakers had been able to take that extra step and made a great rather than good movie. Buy some popcorn, kick back and enjoy this one on a Saturday night at home in front of the TV...

I have watched this movie time and time again. Each time I am left with a solid viewing experience. I often find that Travolta is either spot on, or way off on his acting. In this flick he is spot on. He is exciting to watch, you believe in his cold calculating agenda. And yet he does convince me that he is on the whole, trying to be a good guy. The scene in the fly fishing river really gets me. Jackman is an actor that has such charisma that even his off roles come out entertaining. But in swordfish he delivers a solid performance, and the daughter relationship at the end makes you feel good. Halle Berry is hot and believing as always. Cheadle is on point, but you hope the whole time he does and does not get the bad guy at the end. Awesome flick

OK, so John Travolta is the bad guy that insists he the good guy... Hugh Jackman used to be a bad guy that wants to be a good guy but is forced to e a bad guy... and Halle Berry... yowza!!! She plays a bad guy that really a good guy, but she plays bad sooo well... Great speeches, great effects and a bumping soundtrack!

Really cool movie, great cast, good acting. I love the opening scene, which is now iconic to me. Good action scenes, good ending also. ***Slight spoiler*** Wraps everything up, maybe not how you wanted it, but everyone gets what they were looking for!

I think this is a really awesome movie by John Travolta and Halle Berry lots of action and sexy women I heard about this movie through a friend of mine and it's worth watching over and over again worth the money get it at Best Buy enjoy

Swordfish is a "is he good guy or a bad guy" oldie but a goody movie A bit convoluted but totally captivating. In some ways, wish his character was real. Action packed, Mission Impossible style movie.

well i have it on VHS so getting it on Blu-Ray made sense. the case could be more sturdy, but its a welcome addition to my library.

this is a decent little action piece with John Travolta in one of his crazier performances. This movie will likely be remembered most for Halle and her assets. Its not a bad way to spend a couple hours

This is a classic heist movie with great action and plot twists. John Travolta, Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry set up a great cast and a story that will hold you through to the end.

It is hard and time consuming to write a separate review for every DVD I buy. They were all the kind of format I like to view and I was pleased with them all.

Seen it many times and love it even more on Blu Ray. Never dull. Just enough action but not so much that it takes away from the plot itself.

Travolta's character steals all the scenes he's in. So glad they used the ending they went with instead of the alternate ones that are shown on the BD.
