    Broke immediately - Stay away!!!

    Stay away from this unit!!! or this brand all together! Bought this @ Winchester BestBuy in early August 2018. A month later a support ring broke just by adjusting the position on the head rest. Secondary screen also stopped working shortly after. With less a 2 month of use i had to throw it all away, the main DVD player was not able to play original DVDs from start to finish. It would fail half way through the movie. Terrible quality product and terrible manufacturer response. I filed a manufacturer warranty claim and this is literally what they told me: "We appreciate you sending all the necessary information. Upon reviewing your case, it confirms that the unit has a physical damage. Please be advised that such condition voids the manufacturer’s warranty."

    Sluggish dvd response and poor customer support.

    The setup was easy. But for some reason the dvd player has a huge delay when playing a dvd(very annoying). Within 2 months the loop on the back of the player that holds the belt to the player broke. I contacted support and after days of going back and forth sending pictures of the problem, the serial number of the unit and a copy of the receipt, they state that they don't cover the part that broke. Then two weeks into the third month of ownership the A/V plug on the second screen breaks(I'm guessing from the weight of the A/V cable?) and fell inside of the unit. Now I'm down to one screen. If for some reason you decide to purchase this unit, make sure you PURCHASE THE WARRANTY THAT BEST BUY OFFERS!! This way you don't have to deal with overseas support and you just have to swap the unit out with Bust Buy. I most certainly will never buy Sylvania again.

    This DVD player worked great for about 30 days. The latch on the dvd holder stopped working and now has to be taped shut for it to work. We purchased the protection plan after being told it would continuously replace the player if it broke. This was incorrect. The protection plan will replace it ONCE and then you have to purchase the plan again. We were told to contact the manufacturer for warranty. The manufacturer does not include any contact information in the literature provided and it took days of googling and calling wrong numbers to have an email sent for warranty. The hoops you have to jump through are ridiculous and you are not able to speak with a representative. I read the reviews prior to purchasing and thought “it can’t be that bad”. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this product and all other products made by this manufacturer

    Worse DVD player-DOESN'T deserves 1 Star

    First of all these DVD players are only warranted for 90 days and no where on the box, nor on the manual is this written. I purchased one for my grandchildren in September 2016 for a Christmas present, which was installed until after Christmas. They worked ONE DAY and the ghost DVD didn't have any sound or picture. Called the manufacturing company and their reply via email I was refered to a local company to have it repaired. So they want me to spend more money on a product that your not even sure will not quit again after ONE USE! PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT. BUY ANOTHER RELIABLE PRODUCT. The is the LAST PRODUCT I WILL PURCHASE WITH THE NAME OF SLYVANIA.. VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER...

    First, product works as advertised. It's a dualscreen dvd player. pros: *large, bright display *separate volume controls & system volume control *internal battery/supercap maintains system playability when vehicle shuts off *relatively long cords for screen connectivity & power *simple remote control cons: *master/slave orientation locked - player is behind driver, slave screen is behind passenger. Wish I could easily change that around *disk loading is a pain... bottom of screen on player (driver's side) swings out, slightly, to give access to disk all in all, I like it. only bought it because I lost the power adapter for my RCA dual screen dvd player and we were leaving in mere hours. Universal power adapter I wired up didn't work properly (or unit was damaged) ... onto BestBuy.com for a quick inventory search!

    Let me just start by saying we've only had these DVD players for about 6 months. They were a Christmas gift for my kids from their grandparent. At first j thought these are going to be great! They have a remote that comes with them and the setup was pretty easy. But after about 2 months the little plastic piece that holds the strap broke and I thought no big deal I'll super glue it. Then the other ones started to break so we had to figure a way to hold the DVD players up without anything to attach the strap to... we had problems with the second one getting a connection at times and now the A/V plug in on the actual DVD player broke and went inside the player so there is no way to have a connection. Now the screen has come completely unglued from the second player. These are cheaply made I dont recommend buying them.

    If you are thinking of buying these...don’t. I’ve had these for about 6 months. They were for my 1 year old on to watch Mickey Mouse. We have had the same dvd in for the entire time and it constantly goes between loading and open. I have maybe opened it twice. They aren’t expensive but not cheap either. I would advise you specifically reading this to take a hard pass and get something of quality. Or you could drive around with your arm behind you squeezing the screen closed so it works. A big middle finger emoji to sylvania for producing this garbage and selling it as a working product. I wouldn’t recommend this to my worst enemy let alone a friend.

    DO NOT BUY SYLVANIA PRODUCTS!!! Sylvania only warranties portable DVD products for 90 days and that is how long it lasts. I bought this at Best Buy and they told me I would have to call the company. They were NO help. They do not care about their customers. I called 6 times and got the run around each time. Awful customer service!!! Unfortunately, I did not know it was only warranted for 90 days. Electronics are usually 1 year warranty. I WOULD NOT have spent $100 dollars on this product, if I had known it was only warrantied for 90 days. I would have given 0 stars if i could, but it wouldn't allow that.

    Huge waste of my time

    Spent an hour wrestling with the straps to try and get them to stay on the headrests, but there's no way they'll work - I followed the instructions very carefully too. Resorted to taping the straps so they didn't slide off. Then went to plug in the power cord and it's really short - can't reach any of the outlets in the car, so the entire thing is useless. Then realized it didn't come with a video cable anyway, so I couldn't use it regardless. Absolutely horrible design. Sad part is, this unit was to replace an older one we had that wasn't working anymore, and my 10 year old son bought this for our family with a gift card he earned through Cub Scouts. Very upsetting having to explain to him it won't work and we have to take it back.

    Best money I spent for our Disney trip

    We drove from Ohio to Orlando with a 5 and 3 year old and the trip would have been a nightmare without these. They were easy to install and I was able to operate them and switch discs from the front seat. The cords were a little annoying but that is my only complaint. We thought about buying the OEM DVD player through Chevy for the trip which would have been close to $2,000 but we are very thankful we bought these. Anyone looking for a portable DVD player I would say that these kept our sanity on the 2,000 mile trip. We have iPads and thought the kids could entertain themselves but the DVD player was the way to go.

    Purchased this player so my kids would be able to watch movies during a long road trip. Player was a great size and was easy to set up. I liked that it came with two sets of headphones, car charger and a wall charger for use indoors. Kids were ecstatic at first and we rented a couple of Redbox movies for them to watch. However before the first movie was even completed, the slave screen quit working. Sound still came through but no video. I played with the cable to see if it had just been partially unplugged but to no avail. So the master player still worked though so the kids were able to still watch videos. When I went through a town that had a Best Buy I returned the player.

    Saddly we have been searching for a quality DVD player and I suppose the search is still on. These worked great for about 2 weeks and then they began to skip and not playing brand new DVDs. It does not pick up where your child left off at either so you are constantly having to sit and wait for it to load and then get the DVD back where they were when they got out of the car even if you run in the store for 5 minutes. It takes you 20 minutes to get back on the road. Needless to say we wish we could return them.

    I wish I could give this less than 1 star. This is the worst electronic device I have ever owned. I purchased this for my son’s birthday and it worked for about 6 months. I cleaned it regularly yet about 5 months in it started skipping any dvd we had, we purchased a new movie and it skipped the entire time that played as well. After that it just stopped turning on altogether. I contacted the company SYLVANIA, who makes the product and they do not even have a way to speak to customer service on the phone, only email. They sent me an email saying they only warrant their products for 90 days so they wouldn’t do anything. Horrible product, horrible customer service.

    I bought this because we was going on a road trip that was going to be a 12 hour drive. My kids are pleased with the size of the screen. Once they reviewed the product, it was easy enough for them to figure out. I am very happy with my purchase. I also!! Like the extra insurance I bought on it. Where if anything happens to it, I take it right back to the store <-- that is what won me! None of that calling to a middle or 3rd company crap. I also like the price I paid for the product!

    I didn’t like the tvs they only played the same movie which wasn’t listed and the volume was low and where the straps go to attach the tv to the headrest were very poor quality they broke before we even got to our destination then when we got back I couldn’t return them cause it was 17 days 2 days after the return policy cause i didn’t purchase the extra warranty or whatever so very upset they are not worth it and I won’t buy things from best buy again because of that rule

    This duo is great! Purchased for a long car trip and the speakers were loud enough for the kids in both rows and for me to listen to music in the front while driving. They can also put head phones in if they wanted it louder and no car noise. They were able to get 3 movies in a row in before it dyed which was awesome! I also like how you can watch the movie using the charger in the car and it will also charge the player for later use. Wish I purchased these sooner. Will try them on the plane next!

    It's a simple, basic DVD player that does what it's supposed to. Picture is OK and the sound meets the needs for entertaining the kids on a road trip. My biggest issue is that I actually had to buy it twice. The first time, installed it right out the door and it was faulty. Had to return it and get another one, which then worked fine. Quality is not the best, but for the price I can live with it. There are better ones out there if cost is not an issue for you.

    While I believe that these are good DVD players I feel that they weren't exactly made well. Within 6 or 7 hours of us buying them and us making it from Oklahoma to Missouri one of the pieces snapped off the back of the DVD player to hold it up on the head rest. The straps to hold it in also were not the best design they don't work well at all. On the upside I do love how big the screens are and how clear they are but I don't think that they have that much sound coming out of them either. I have insurance on them but I hate that I'm already having to use it.

    Purchased in Oct. 2018 - the support ring broke after a few days, the strap wouldn't stay flat so the screen always slumped down, the fold-out prop snapped off the back, and the screen fell in on the other unit. Horrible quality - so cheaply made. Customer service was useless after requiring all documentation and photographs except my blood type and mother's maiden name. I was out $130 because of "physical damage to the unit." AKA - cheaply made, throw-away product. Buyer beware.

    I’m giving the DVD player 2 stars. Let’s keep this review short and straight to the point. While the displays are large enough and the pictures are pretty what good is a DVD player that constantly freezes. This was my 1st time using this DVD player. All DVDs were brand new (purchased specifically to use with the DVD player). I tried different DVDs to make sure it wasn’t the DVD player... It definitely was the player. I returned it the next day. Now I have DVDs with no player. (Once the DVDs are opened they are able to be returned)
