    Purchased DVD player to send to my mother so that she can use it while in the hospital. Power supply works in Japan and US. DVD plays fine, and the two built-in speakers are decent. There is even a headphone jack so that you can hear the DVD playback in stereo. The interesting part is that it will also play music CDs, and the playlist is select-able via remote.

    My son loves this DVD player. It is very light to carry with the handles that it brings, and it has a good screen size. If your are buying for a child, I would suggest adding the breakage protection plan. Even though it is a good DVD player, it will not withstand several drops.

    This player was purchased as our car did not come with a CD player. This player works well as a portable player for audio books and DVDs in any location and with a connector plays well through the car's audio system. Good sound and picture.

    My wife and I love the 7" Portable Sylvania DVD Player because we like to watch DVDs on our long bus trips to the Biloxy casinos or when we go camping we enjoy watching a picture for entertainment, so this DVD player is just the right thing for our lifestyle.

    Didn’t work. Loaded dvd and kept getting a message to load disc when it was already loaded.

    Never could get it to work. Put the dvd in and it kept saying load disc. Took it back to the store.
