I bought this for a car trip. My previous car had a built in dvd and my kids were used to watching dvds in the car. I didn't see the picture quality (I was driving), but my kids say it was good. The sound could be better, though. Even connected to the car audio, it was on the low side. Strapping them in and connecting them wasn't hard, and they bring their own carrying case, which is nice. They also bring two sets of ear buds, which we didn't use because I have 3 kids, but I guess that helps with the sound issue. I like the larger screen size and the fact that there are two of them, as compared to my smaller, single dvd screen in the previous car. Overall, they are not bad and the price was reasonable. I would recommend them.

Sylvania - 9" Dual Screen Portable DVD Player - Black: This product has a great picture and volume. The only issue that I have with this product is that sometimes it will not work properly when it is needed. It will not read the DVD or say No Disc, when clearly a DVD is in it. Once this occurs you have to cut the vehicle off and completely shutdown the DVD Player. Next remove the DVD, cut the car back on, power back up the DVD Player and let it load before placing the DVD back in the player. 95% of the time if you do these steps the DVD player will work and you have a happy little child.

The DVD player works and plays as it should, no problems there. But if you're going from a single stand alone portable, there are some features you're going to miss. Your can't use this player if it isn't plugged in, there's no rechargable battery. The cables are long and annoying, but tucked in correctly and they aren't as bad. When you stop the DVD it's not pick up where I left off, it starts all the way for the very beginning again.. There is no fast forward button on the DVD player you have to do it from the remote. All said if you can handle that it is a very good DVD player. This screens have very low resolution but for kids it should not matter on a road trip.

We've been using these in the car for a few months now. We haven't had any issues will then at all. They've played everything we've put in them. It's even held up against my toddler kicking one a few times. The only reason I give them 4 stars instead of five is the cords to plug in are to short to be ran underneath the seat covers to the plug in so there string across the two front seats. It still works fine but it looks messy. Also I have a van so I'm sure the plug in for different vehicles are a short distance to the back head rest. All in all they work great and I didn't pay to much for them. So I'm a happy customer.

This purchase was $ well spent. Having 2 screens was perfect for my 2 little ones. Only issue is the straps to hold the screens to the headrests are difficult to tighten at times.

Found this on sale for a great price. With kids this should help avoid arguments about watching different movies as this will cover at least two. Very handy and can be used in car or in home

Works as you hope. Bight enough with enough sound. Could be 5 stars but the cords and the way they hook up, no matter the left or right orientation of the screens, is a poor design. There is essentially no way for the cords to be run out of the way and not look bad. The connections need to be on the outside of the monitors with the cords being long enough to run down the seat and across the floor and then up to the other screen. The connections are not like that and result in you having cords hanging from the right side of the back of your driver side seat, or left of your passenger seat, depending on orientation.

Bought this pair of portable DVD players for my kids prior to our last road trip. Picture is really good. The sound is decent but the max volume seems to be not loud enough.

Long trip to ND with 2 small grandkids. Brought some DVD's for them to watch and hardly knew they were in the back seat . Kept them occupied the whole way. Easy to set up and use.

I bought this on sale and have only used a few times on long road trips but it does work well. The picture is clear and controls are easy to use

these screens were the perfect solution for our vacation trip with two little ones. they kept the kids occupied the entire trip. screen quality is great and sound is perfect!

So far this has been a great DVD player. It doesn’t turn off when you turn the car off and if you do unplug it, it picks back up where you left off.

I held off for years before giving in to buying a portable dvd player. This was to be my first road trip as a single parent, the three boys would be shoulder-to-shoulder in my little car, and we had 600 miles to go in a single day. The player was marvelous! Easy to set up and easy enough for the boys to use on their own. The units fit well on the headrests, though the boys ultimately preferred to have the screens shared across their laps. As a bonus, if one didn't want to watch, the other two could use ear plugs and all three were happy!

The straps are a pain to get hooked up and the cords get in the way, but we really liked the price and my kids can both work it on their own.

We used this on a 7 hour trip to Florida with our 2 grandsons (A 1 year old and a 3 year old) and it kept them entertained for the whole trip. Yeah!

This is a great option for traveling with kids. Keeps them entertained. The quality is good for the price. Best thing is that it’s dual screen.

These were a gift to my niece and nephew. They love it and my brother is happy because it keeps the kids entertained especially on long trips
