Pretty decent little sci-fi flick that would have benefited from a little bigger budget.

Did not keep my attention well. I like the actors though. It was more of a "B" movie.

Missed opportunity to make an entertaining movie

This movie had potential, but the script did not have any good friendships between the characters. The main character is an EMT in New Orleans, but his EMT partner (who is also his best friend) do not have any good chemistry as they trash talk each other throughout the movie.
The script should have had the EMT and his partner on good terms with some light hearted humor to make the movie more entertaining. Plus the script should have been adjusted where the two of them are working together to solve a mystery, rather than just an emotionless solo act. The audience has no reason to feel any attachment to the characters. Overall, recommend renting or streaming the movie before buying it.
*** Spoilers follow ***
The main plot is that a synthetic drug is causing mysterious deaths. The main character tries to prevent future deaths and tries to buy out all the drugs being sold at stores. He then finds out from the chemist that the drug sends the user back in time.
This was a neat concept as the main character tries a series of experiments taking the drug to find his partner’s missing daughter, who took the synthetic drug.
This mystery movie sadly meanders around New Orleans and fails to deliver any good character interactions. A missed opportunity.
