Bought this for my daughter. She says the phone is good because of easy wifi access but the battery depletes fast even though you put the phone on standby.

This is a nice little phone for the price. You're not going to be blown away by the features, but you will find the features it does have to be quite useful. I purchased this phone for my daughter as her first phone and she seems very happy with it.

I actually purchased this phone for my boyfriend who always seem to lose his phone. This phone was purchased to replace the T-Mobile Concord. As far as I can tell it's pretty much the same. It's Android based. The battery seems to hold up, and it does what it needs to do. It' a good choice in my book!

I bought this phone for my child. She had a Windows phone but wanted an Android. I'd bought the same phone for my godson a few months before. Great value. They both love their phones.

I really liked this phone vis-a-vis cost of this handset. I get all the features of a good smartphone, with although some restrictions, eg - camera quality.
Really loved this phone.

We have a late model IPad and an IPod touch with wifi and were looking for upgrading our older phones. My wife opted for a ZTE avail2 and I went for the Alcatel Evolve. Both are awesome android phones and are great - no contract and lots of potential. I am happy to being introduced to the smartphone world with the Evolve and I feel part of the modern world. The IPad is used at home and I still keep bringing along the iPod touch for its camera, wifi email, podcasts, etc. I like knowing that I can surf for free on wifi and not be worried about data.
Happy with the Evolve, in fact, bought one for my 82 year old father who enjoys it as well. If he can use it.....anybody can. One day will upgrade it but for now, it's the bees knees. Can't beat the price. Got a screen protector and case on Amazon for cheap - shipping was more than the cost of the accessories.

Cheap, Functional Android Phone

I got this to use as a demo phone for my business because I need a few "worst-case" scenarios to show my customers the software I write for them. For $40, this phone offers a LOT of functionality when compared with other phones priced similarly and on other carriers, some of which are still using smaller-screened devices to run Android software as old as Froyo in 2014 (YIKES!!!!!!!)-this one is running Jellybean. Surprisingly, this phone does an awful lot for the cheap $40 I paid to buy it and will make a nice addition to my demo kit. I'd recommend it for those who need a smartphone they can afford to lose which can also run many currrent-day applications. It will not run some game titles well on the slow (by contemporary standards) single-core CPU, but it plays music well (and loudly for its size, or use it to link to better equipment via Bluetooth) and can do basic online activities, including via WiFi. I would not want this phone to replace my present-day Samsung Galaxy S4 workhorse, but it would be a decent substitute for those who have a need for a Galaxy ("S1" era)-level or similarly-leveled smartphone which can also run Jellybean (maybe for the kids or for the non-techie grandparents?).

That's really a good phone. I used it for more than a month. The set-up is easy and the phone is performing very well. After reading some of the reviews I was concerned about the speed and the camera. Frankly these have not been a problem at all. I am able to stream videos without problems. The camera takes good pictures (but there is no flash). The call quality is very good and the apps are working well. Moreover, I enjoy the phone style and look. It does not fell like a cheap made phone. It's a good phone and would recommend it to friends without hesitation.

It's a good beginner phone for a young teen or senior maybe. It's simple, the back feels nice and soft and keeps it from slipping out of your hand. The sounds are nice, loud and clear.

It's okay to use for just texting. The internet is slow when trying to look something up and not so great to watch videos the screen has to be turned a certain way to not get a glare.

Overall an excellent phone for the price but it's a basic starter smart phone. Latest android OS is a big plus and no flash on camera you just cant take any pictures in low light.
