Simply put the muted theatrical cut isn't worthwhile, go straight for the far more interesting and brutal unrated cut (how it was seen outside the US before 20th Century Fox wimped out on it). Liam Neeson is on top form, proving older guys can still kick some a**.

Taken is a pretty good movie. As a Luc Besson produced action film it felt a little cliche from Besson's previous films whether produced, written, or directed. Although, Liam Neeson really made this movie worthwhile with some memorable lines in this movie.

Taken 2 takes place after the first movie and brings in a lot of the elements that made the first movie a classic the second one cant capitalize on the same story. While there are some high points the movie is average. It is still worth a watch
