Good "one lens fits all"

This is a good lens for beginners and occasional shooters. It's not particularly sharp at either end of its range and the aperture isn't very large for low light. It is for crop sensor cameras only but anyone dropping money on a full frame camera probably wouldn't consider a lens in this price range any way. If you're on a budget and want one lens you can leave on instead of constantly changing lenses, this will do the job.
