I've been using the Tangem Soft Wallet for about 2 months.  I finally decided to get their hard wallet, mostly for security reasons. I wanted to give my wife access to "our" Crypto assets, and the same for our daughter (if/when necessary).  I looked at almost all other options and decided I did not want another device which has to be charged and could be lost/damaged, but can't easily be duplicated.  I wanted something that did not rely solely on BT or WiFi as I have concerns that these could be monitored (and standards could change over time).  And I really didn't want it to have a battery or a special connector (read USB) (as they can become obsolete over time).  Having used Tangem for a bit I was familiar with its strengths and weaknesses (many of which could be overcome). The package the three cards came in is nice, but nothing special.  All instructions online via QR code.  Each of the 3 cards has a unique 16 digital code on the back so you can tell them apart, but once you set up the cards as backup devices each is equivalent to the others.  The cards themselves are identical in size and weight to a credit card except there is no magnetic strip or EMV chip, but there is a NFC antenna (not marked as so) within the card (that's how it works).  As I'd been using their app for sometime I already had it on my iPhone.  Once I held the card up to the top of the phone it offered to start the Tangem app.  From there I had the option of creating a new card (keeping the prior soft wallet) or upgrading the soft wallet to the new card.  Since I had provided instructions to use the prior soft wallet for other deposits I chose the new card option.  Once this was done I had the option to make backup card(s), I did this for both additional cards.  It then required me to finalize the backup set up option.  I could now shut down the app and scanning the card would bring up the new (still empty) hardware wallet.  I then transferred several partial tokens from my soft wallet to my new hard wallet.  To do this you must pay any required "gas" fees.  I also tried converting from one token on the soft wallet while transferring the proceeds to my new hard wallet.  All of this worked as expected.  At the top of the app it tells you what wallet you're dealing with, if you scan a card you automatically are dealing with your hard wallet.  You can slide the wallet's name left to find your soft wallet (this took me a while to find - the app should better show "stacked cards" if you have more than one choice).  The app makes it very easy to swap between tokens (with fees) or to swap to stablecoins (with no fees). When buying  or selling you can easily convert from token values to your default currency.  There are a number of token/network combinations not supported.  For example my Trust Wallet had Cronos using EVM and ETH in it, but Tangem could only accept Cronos via ETH.  Same situation for Tron, all networks are supported.  So you do have to be careful to make sure to select the right token on the right network, especially if many networks are supported by a token (here again their app could be more helpful, but most have similar limitations (ie. Coinbase does not play well with Tether, but Tether is well supported on Trust and Crypto.com). Tangem supports over 80 blockchain networks and more than 16,000 cryptocurrencies.  But because a network is supported, it does not mean all cryptos that can use that network are supported for any given currency. My biggest gripe with Tangem is that there is no easy way (without using another platform) to transfer funds with a Fiat Currency (say USD) from/to a bank account to your Tangem wallet.  Many services use Plaid or Apple Pay via linked accounts, but Tangem does not do this even with/for wire transfers.  You can't send a fiat currency directly to your Tangem wallet.  If you stick to the Crypto world this is fine.  But I find that I need to move money to/from my bank accounts and to do this you need another crypto service (like Crypto.com, coinbase etc).  I'd also like to use my Tangem card like a debit card, tap and pay with your pre-selected cryptocurrency.  I'm not sure that anyone does this, but when they do it would be a big step forward for crypto in general.  I know a number of crypto sites have their own branded credit cards, you generally get usage rewards in the form of a crypto currency added to your account. In general I found the setup very easy. Selecting what cryptos you want to populate your wallet with, means you must also select the network to be used then (to a new user this is more complicated as you are not that aware of the different networks).  Setting up the backup with the generated key was very easy.  The speed that the card is recognised is excellent.  The fact that there are no batteries or additional devices to deal with is a huge advantage.  The ability to organise currencies by group and order them as you like is very convenient (user friendly).  Even though all cards when paired are essentially the same, I do wish without going to device settings it told you which card was being used (maybe last 4 digits only).  And under Account I wish I could change groups and reorder the list, today it only allows me to manage tokens (add new tokens/networks), this seems like an intuitive place to do this.  I really did not do anything with dApps (connected WEB3 sessions); as this is a feature I personally rarely use (but you might find it necessary - it is included).  I love the durability of the card, they will be very difficult to damage.  I personally like the simple black card, maybe making a carbon fiber version would look cooler.  But for my purposes it does what I wanted it to do.  But in the future please let me use it to buy something directly from Amazon.  But it will require more cooperation from both parties... I do foresee it coming!

I have been using the Tangem Wallet Classic 3-pack for about a week now, and so far I have been really happy with it. This is the first hardware crypto wallet I have ever owned, so I was definitely a little nervous moving my coins off an exchange for the first time. The initial setup was straightforward, and the Tangem app does a good job walking you through the process. I did run into a few hiccups getting my phone to recognize the cards through NFC, although I'm not sure if that was an issue with the cards or simply because I never use NFC on my phone. After a couple of tries, everything connected and worked as expected. Once all three backup cards were configured, it was time to transfer some cryptocurrency from Coinbase. Since this was my first time doing anything like this, I was pretty cautious. I started by transferring a very small amount before sending more, just to make sure I understood the process and that everything arrived safely. The instructions in the app left me with a couple of questions, so I watched a quick YouTube video demonstrating the transfer process. After seeing it done once, I realized I had been overthinking it. Transferring my XRP was surprisingly simple. I copied my wallet address from the Tangem app, pasted it into Coinbase, double-checked everything, and submitted the transfer. The transaction only took a few seconds to appear, and the entire process was much easier than I expected. After successfully completing a few smaller transfers, I felt comfortable moving the rest of my coins. One of my favorite features is that there is no traditional recovery seed phrase to write down or worry about losing. Instead, the private keys are securely generated and stored on the Tangem cards themselves, with the additional cards serving as secure backups. For someone new to self-custody, this made the experience feel much less intimidating. I was also impressed by the overall presentation. The packaging has a premium matte black finish with glossy black lettering, and the cards themselves look sleek and well-made. I also like that Tangem offers unbranded cards for people who prefer a little more privacy if they happen to lose their wallet. Another nice touch is the minimalist design. There are no cables, batteries, or built-in screens to worry about. Everything is managed through the mobile app while the cards securely store your private keys. Tangem advertises a lifespan of up to 25 years for the cards, backed by a 25-year warranty, which is reassuring for a product designed for long-term storage. Overall, I have really enjoyed my experience so far. As someone completely new to hardware wallets, I found the learning curve much easier than I expected. Most importantly, I have much greater peace of mind knowing my cryptocurrency is now stored in cold storage instead of sitting on an exchange. If you've been hesitant to make the move like I was, the Tangem Wallet Classic makes the process surprisingly approachable.

I’m pretty impressed with the Tangem Wallet Classic, mostly because it takes a very simple idea and actually makes it feel safe enough for real money. These are just NFC cards that are credit card sized, no battery, no little screen to break, and the whole job of each card is to hold your private keys and sign transactions. That’s it, and I actually like that level of minimalism. The system makes a lot of sense to me (after I figured it out, which took me forever to wrap my head around). You use the Tangem app, but nothing can leave your wallet unless you have the physical card and your passcode together. Incoming transfers are easy, but for outgoing ones you’re basically forced to prove you’re you in two different ways every time. I put it through some tests with BTC in and out, and everything behaved exactly the way it should, which helped my confidence a lot. The one thing that gives me pause is that I can’t see the seed at all. There’s no little phrase to write down and stick in a drawer. Everything stays inside the card. On one hand, that makes it harder to leak or get hacked; on the other, it means if you lose all three cards, you’re done. I ended up splitting the cards across different locations as soon as I understood that. I also like that the signing happens directly on the card, not in the app or out on the internet. It feels genuinely “hardware wallet–ish,”. You do have to accept that you’re married to the Tangem app, and for really large amounts of long-term storage I’d still consider something more manual primarily because Tangem is fairly new in the whole world of crypto, but as it gets more used, that feeling will go away. As a first step into cold storage for me, with no seed management and a very clear set of rules, I get it and I like it. RECOMMENDED!

Tangem is a new way to securely store your cryptocurrency assets. What first struck me as unique about this product and its design is that it has no USB cables, no Bluetooth pairing required, no firmware updates, and no batteries to charge. It stores your security key in a secure chip embedded within the card, and checking your assets is as simple as tapping the card on your phone, using your facial recognition to verify it is you, and viewing the app. The wallet is set up securely on your card by use of your personal phone and biometric data stored on your phone. This is a cold wallet that can store your private key and sign transactions offline directly with the blockchain. It is not connected to the internet, which significantly increases its security. Tangem does not register users; there is no KYC because Tangem does not register wallets or accounts; there is never a way for Tangem to identify or control your wallet. The cryptocurrency does not live on the app or the card. It stays on the blockchain and is keyed to the certified secure EAL6+ CC chip within the card. The EAL6+CC-certified chip in the card generates a private key using a true random number generator during the wallet setup. The private security key is made during the setup within the chip’s physical sensors. The key is always on the chip within the card and never leaves the card. No one, not even you, will ever be able to find out the private key. It is not on a server somewhere, but the transaction is through your card, via your private security key, which acts as your signature, and transacts directly to the blockchain. The security backup to your Tangem is owning backup cards. You can purchase a 2- or 3-card pack, each containing a main card and either 1 or 2 backup cards. After initial wallet setup and activation, all cards share the same personal security key. In setup, the app configures each additional card to be identical to the main card that holds the master private key. You just need to make sure your phone supports NFC; unless it is an older phone, most Android phones and iPhones do. Another point about this wallet’s setup that initially struck me as less secure was that I did not need a 12-24-word seed phrase. When I understood that all transactions reside on the blockchain, that the secure private key lives on the chip in the card, and that, with the 3-card set that I have, I have two backup copies, I realized I did not need one. Honestly, keeping up with the seed phrase made me nervous about holding money in a wallet tied to it. I do not need the seed phrase with this. I have two backup cards that already have the private key securely stored on their chips. Sending crypto allows the private key to act as your signature for the transaction, but only the private key that enables this lives within the card. Setting up the wallet and backup cards was very quick and easy. You do have the option to import a wallet that may have a seed phrase that carries over and can be used on this card, or you can set up a new wallet with zero assets and no need for a seed phrase, then transfer your assets into the Tangem wallet. The card is the size of a credit card, and by tapping it to the back of your phone, the app will set up the wallet and guide you through the next steps. It was an amazingly simple, straightforward, streamlined process to get the whole wallet set up in about 3 minutes. The Tangem cards are waterproof and dustproof, with a minimum lifespan of 25 years, and this warranty is provided by Samsung, which manufactures the chip. The cards are protected against electromagnetic pulses, electrostatic discharge, and X-rays. There is also a ring option that is manufactured of irconia ceramic. It works on the exact same principle and has two cards for backups. It uses the same Samsung-manufactured EAL6+CC-certified chip that is embedded in the cards. Its security is further aided by the fact that the ring must be removed from the finger, physically placed against the rear of the phone, and your biometric data must be accessed and approved by your phone for any asset transaction to take place. There is no chance that someone can access the chip while it is on your finger. Crypto is becoming more common. Many hardware and cold wallets on the market have been much more difficult to use. I even fell for a phishing scam when I was busy, where I was told to update the wallet manually because it was outdated, etc. Online wallets are highly vulnerable to hacking and theft, and even though I was initially skeptical of the Tangem wallet, I am now totally sold on this product. It is the most secure that I have ever studied or used. As crypto becomes more popular, more payments are accepted and made using cryptocurrency. A benefit offered by Tangem is a card that connects to your crypto account and can be used to make payments. It is a virtual card similar to a credit card in your phone’s wallet, but it has zero interest. It does have fees for overdue payments, insufficient transactions, etc. But it does offer a much easier way to use your cryptocurrency to pay for everyday purchases that accept crypto. If you are new to using cryptocurrency, this is unmistakably the most secure and easiest setup that I have seen or used. Even though I keep very secure security systems on all my devices, phishing scams and account hacking have become very sophisticated. I have had accounts compromised, both online and by using a USB hardware wallet. This product completely eliminates that possibility, as well as the stress and other losses that accompany unauthorized activity on your online accounts. Keeping all of your personal information and transactions off the internet as much as possible is the best way to secure your personal life. I highly recommend this product.

The Tangem crypto wallet 3 pack takes a unique spin on cold storage by ditching the traditional seed phrase. Instead of writing down 24 words on paper, the private key lives inside an EAL6+ certified secure chip on each card. The multi-packs let you decide how to manage your keys. I used all three as identical backups for one wallet. Lose one? You've got two spares! From what I can tell during setup, you can also live on the edge and configure each card as a separate wallet. Setup only took a few minutes. Download the app, tap each card to my phone, done. No cables, no batteries, no firmware updates. The passive NFC design means nothing mechanical to wear out. Tangem claims a 25 year life span and cards are IP69K waterproof/dustproof, rated for -25°C to 80°C. The app supports over 85 blockchains. Transaction signing requires the physical card tap plus your PIN. Note the phone only interface, no hardware screen for transaction verification, and losing all three cards means unrecoverable loss without a seed phrase. The overall experience was very positive. The process was dead simple and removed the biggest friction point for newcomers. It's an excellent entry point to cold storage and self custody without the complexity or more traditional options.

Having used and researched several hardware wallets over the years, I was curious about Tangem's unconventional approach. Instead of a small electronic device with buttons, cables, and a screen, I found myself holding what looked like an ordinary credit card. At first, I wondered whether something so simple could really offer the level of protection that cryptocurrency investors expect. As I spent more time evaluating its design and workflow, I found myself impressed by its innovation, while also becoming increasingly aware of the compromises that come with its unique philosophy. The first thing that stood out to me was how effortless the setup process felt. I simply installed the companion app, tapped the card against my smartphone using NFC, and followed the prompts. There were no cables to connect, no batteries to charge, and no firmware updates waiting before I could begin. Compared with some traditional hardware wallets that can feel intimidating during the initial setup, the Tangem Wallet Classic offered an experience that was refreshingly straightforward. I could easily imagine someone completely new to cryptocurrency feeling comfortable using it within minutes. As I became more familiar with the wallet, I began to appreciate the elegance of its physical design. The card itself feels durable and well made. Knowing that the private key is generated inside a secure element and never leaves the card gave me confidence in its security model. I also liked the fact that every transaction requires physically tapping the card against my phone. That simple action reminded me that I was authorizing each transaction myself rather than relying solely on software. The wallet's lack of batteries, charging ports, or moving parts also made me feel that there was very little that could fail over time. One feature that I found especially appealing was Tangem's seedless backup system. Instead of writing down and protecting a long recovery phrase, I could rely on multiple backup cards containing the same cryptographic secret. I have always considered safeguarding a recovery phrase to be one of the most stressful parts of owning a hardware wallet. The possibility of losing the paper, having it damaged, or storing it insecurely has always concerned me. Tangem's solution felt more intuitive because protecting several physical cards seemed easier than managing a list of words. However, the more I thought about it, the more I realized that the convenience comes with an important condition. Those backup cards effectively become the wallet. If every one of them were lost or destroyed, there would be no way to recover access to my assets. That realization reminded me that Tangem changes the way backups work, but it does not eliminate the need for careful planning. While I found many aspects of the wallet impressive, I also encountered features that gave me pause. The issue I struggled with most was Tangem's closed-source firmware. I appreciate products that allow independent experts to inspect and verify their code, and I understand why many people in the cryptocurrency community place such importance on transparency. Although Tangem has undergone independent security audits and has built a solid reputation, I still found myself wishing that the firmware were fully open source. Personally, I prefer security models that minimize the amount of trust I need to place in the manufacturer. This does not necessarily mean Tangem is insecure, but it does mean I have to accept a different level of trust than I would with some competing wallets. Another observation I made was how heavily the wallet depends on a smartphone. Every interaction—from viewing balances to approving transactions—takes place through the mobile app. For everyday use, I actually found this quite convenient because my phone is almost always within reach. However, I also realized that users who prefer managing their cryptocurrency on a desktop computer or who rely on more advanced security workflows might find the mobile-only approach limiting. The absence of a built-in display on the card also became something I thought about more as I evaluated the wallet. Other hardware wallets often include their own screens so that transaction details can be independently verified before approval. With Tangem, I relied entirely on my phone to display the destination address and transaction amount before tapping the card. While I never found this inconvenient, I understood why security-conscious users might prefer an independent display that cannot be influenced by a compromised phone. It is one of those design decisions that favors simplicity over an additional layer of verification. Tangem's immutable firmware presented another interesting dilemma for me. At first, I appreciated the idea that the firmware could never be modified after manufacturing. The inability to install updates means there is no risk of downloading a malicious firmware update later. That sounded reassuring. However, I also recognized the trade-off. If researchers were to discover a significant vulnerability years in the future, there would be no software patch available. Replacing the wallet would likely become the only practical solution. I found myself seeing both sides of the argument. The design is elegant in its simplicity, but it also requires confidence that the original firmware will remain secure over the wallet's lifetime. From a privacy perspective, I was generally satisfied with what Tangem offers. I appreciated that there was no need to create an account or submit personal information to use the wallet. My private keys remained securely stored on the card, and I retained control over my assets. At the same time, I understood that the companion app still communicates with blockchain networks to retrieve balances and broadcast transactions. Like most cryptocurrency wallets, complete anonymity depends not only on the wallet itself but also on how it is used. Overall, one does feel a great deal of respect for what the Tangem Wallet Classic represents. It challenges many long-held assumptions about what a hardware wallet should look like and how it should function. Its minimalist design, durable construction, and remarkably simple user experience make it one of the most approachable hardware wallets I have encountered. At the same time, I could not ignore the compromises involved. The proprietary firmware, dependence on a smartphone, lack of an independent display, and immutable architecture require users to embrace a different security philosophy than many competing wallets demand. If someone asked me whether I would recommend the Tangem Wallet Classic, my answer would depend entirely on their priorities. For someone who wants an easy, reliable, and elegant way to secure cryptocurrency without dealing with the complexity of traditional hardware wallets, I would recommend it with confidence. For someone who believes that transparency and independent verification are essential components of security, I would encourage them to carefully compare Tangem with open-source alternatives before making a decision. Ultimately, my experience evaluating the Tangem Wallet Classic left me believing that it is neither a perfect wallet nor an imperfect one. Rather, it is a thoughtfully engineered product that excels at making self-custody accessible while asking its users to accept a different balance between convenience, trust, and security. Whether that balance is the right one depends less on the wallet itself and more on the philosophy of the person holding it.

I’ve heard about Tangem for a few years now, but felt like my other hardware wallets were enough. After setting it up, and using it for a few days, I definitely see the advantages compared to other devices and brands. Keeping your crypto safe is a big responsibility, and I do like how Tangem gives you the option to make that an easier task. It was the most forward and simple setup, even for a person who’s never used a hardware wallet. I also like the large selection of coins and tokens available to choose from, although some may be tricky to find such as BTC or USDT on the BSC network, but you just have to search and scroll to find them. The selection wasn’t fully grouped by network which does make the list quite long, for instance why not list all the Solana tokens under Sol instead of just a handful of them? The problem with seedphrases, is it takes a longer setup time, restore, and the entire process of securely storing it. Even then you have to be careful to store it so safe that no one can easily access it, but not lose access yourself. This is tricky if you have a secure mindset, keep it in a safe? Then someone just steals the entire safe and cracks it open. Keep it in online storage? But accounts are compromised all the time and I don’t trust most storage providers not to scan your data. The Tangem method with cards or a ring is really nice, nothing to write down and worry someone might access it, just store these cards in 3 different safe places. No can access your account without the passcode, basically strong multifactor authentication….something you have and something you know. Its true, without a seedphrase option the downside is if you lose the cards you lose your crypto, but hopefully you don’t lose all 3 cards! Heck, if you lose even one it might be worth ordering new cards just to be safe. The real benefit for me was for my wife. I manage our accounts and assets, and have a complex secure method for protecting our seedphrases. My wife does not do complex, so I have to create lots of instructions and update these instructions every time I make changes in case something were to happen to me so she can access our crypto. Even then, I’m not sure she would be able to access them easily without some help. Well Tangem now lets you connect your cards to an existing seedphrase to access other crypto accounts, so technically you can now have both a seedphrase and Tangem card for accessing it. Most of our other hardware wallets are PC-based and require the app to be installed along with device connected, firmware updated, and setup properly (if doing it for the first time). My wife is not a PC person, she is a phone person. So installing an app, tapping your card to it, entering your passcode, and you’re in! Way better option for her, plus I have the seedphrase to still restore in case the cards go missing. Win Win! The next advantage is the cards are simple and durable, there is no battery, no cables, no screen, and best of all no firmware updates required! Having used hardware wallets for years, I’ve had the batteries randomly go bad causing problems, or the device itself just stop working properly, not something you want to trust your investments to. You’ll never have that problem with the Tangem cards, they’ll just work since its just a chip! You can pretty much use any phone as long as it has NFC (all modern phones do) and can get the Tangem app installed. Tangem also allows you to create multiple accounts for your assets within the same wallet, so you can split your assets up, short-term vs long-term for example, or if you want to have a low balance defi account to protect your greater assets you can do that too. I did experience an issue when trying to import a 24 word seedphrase into my Tangem wallet on my Android phone for some reason. After entering the 24 words, in order, and spelled correctly 2 different times it kept giving me “invalid seedphrase” error and would not let me import it. The next day, I went on my iPhone and added the 24 words, and it worked fine. Not sure if its Android related or just some glitch that happened, but it was annoying. I also think the interface could be cleaned up and organized better, lots of unnecessary items on there and it doesn’t sort the assets by balance initially. You have to go find and change that option that is slightly buried in there. But I do have to say overall it was a very seamless experience, beginner friendly with advanced security, sending and receiving crypto was a breeze, and its quite secure with multiple audits completed over the years. I believe their app is open source for visibility while their NFC card technology is closed source. I definitely think it’s a great option, especially for anyone that doesn’t want to have to worry about seedphrases.

Tangem’s 3 card wallet set is a good way to get a hardware wallet. The cards look professional, seem sturdy, are easy to setup, and have a 25 year warranty. Setup The process to get my primary plus backup cards registered was very simple. The app stepped me through the process with clear instructions on what to do. Someone who has never used Tangem hardware wallets will find it easy and straightforward to setup and use the cards. Cards Tangem’s cards are the size of a credit card and look good. There are numbers on the back of each so I can keep up with which are backups and which is the primary. I only need to tap the card to my phone to perform an action requiring the card. The cards are made well and have a safe temperature range that is reasonable (-13F to 122F). The only problem I see there is that if I have my Tangem card in my wallet and happen to leave it in my vehicle for an hour or more during the summer, it may not survive the heat. There have been instances where I’ve left my wallet in my vehicle and went inside my home, and an hour or so later realized I did. That’s long enough for the temperature to get well over 130F in my vehicle. They are EAL6+ and IP68 rated. They are flexible similar to a credit/debit card. When using the card, it took 1-2 seconds of me holding the card to my phone for my phone to register the tap. This was on an Android phone. App The UI makes it easy to use the app. It’s simple to initiate sending or buying crypto. I transferred some crypto from another wallet to my Tangem wallet without a problem. The app notification alerted me when my Tangem wallet received the crypto. To buy crypto, there are several options. Tangem searches for the best option, but also can list alternative options. Options such as GPay, PayPal, Moonpay, etc. I like that it supports multiple 3rd parties for this. It would be convenient if, at some point in the future, Tangem supported buying crypto directly in the app so that I don’t have to go through a 3rd party for that. That should also reduce fees as well. Support for different crypto is extensive. All of the crypto I’m familiar with and then some. The only thing I’m not sure about is how often Tangem adds support for something new. That app is supported on both iOS and Android. I’m using Android and didn’t have any problems with the app. No issues installing the app and none when setting up the cards. Features The cards have a 25 year warranty. Tangem allows me to stake crypto, buy, send, receive, and convert it. The app UI looks good and is easy to use. The tap to use card works well. App notifications help me to know when a transfer to my wallet is complete. Final Thoughts If someone is new to crypto and hardware wallets, the Tangem hardware wallet is a good choice. It’s easy to setup and simple to use. This list of crypto you can buy is extensive. The card is much easier to carry around than alternative hardware wallet options. The cost is reasonable as well. If you are looking for a hardware wallet with the convenience of a card, then consider Tangem. It’s a really good option.

I'm a bit of a cold wallet enthusiast, I have owned and other wallets. They have all tended to fall short the convenience factor either requiring charging, have screens you're worried will break, etc The Tangem is the first cold wallet security system that I have used that is wallet size convenient. The Tangem are literally thinner than a credit card but still sturdy, there's no battery or charging, don't need a seed phrase to be written down and securely stored (adding other points of failure), are claimed to last 25 years, and even better you get 2 backup cards/devices. That's already a win. To use and setup, you need to use the free Tangem app. This was fastish, but I did hit random bugs where it claimed my iPhone didn't have NFC a few times and reverifying and key locking the cards didn't initially work - until I restarted my phone, deleted the app, reset the cards, and started the process from scratch. Outside of that hiccup, the Tangem app is one of the better ones I have used, clean UI and surprisingly open and flexible - showing prices from multiple exchanges and not forcing you to their preferred exchange; you can also select your preferred network for tokens. There's also NFT support (although you need to manually turn it on). I did a small test transfer to get things going transferring some ETH to my Tangem wallet. This was quick, flawless and showed up in my wallet. In terms of security, I'm not an expert so can't tell you if Tangem is more or less secure than alternatives but I did try see if you could read the NFC with a NFC reader and that didn't work - so it's secure to pass sniffing attacks. Overall, I do like the Tangem, better than other wallets mainly because I can keep this in my wallet next to my credit cards and it's much more discrete and no risk of battery drain. My only question is always what's their long term support strategy if I use it for 20 years, will they be around?

First of all, beautiful packaging! Easy to understand. Packaging made it easy to open, gain a quick overview of what is needed, and left no real ambiguity about the product. I was steered to download the app, I downloaded it on both iOS on a 17 Pro and Android with the Pixel 9 Pro and it worked well. App seemed to be well thought through and guided you to understand how to work it all. NFC worked, Face ID was a good choice of integration. Purchasing coin was easy and tracking was made fun.the cards easily fit into a wallet as they are credit card sized. Reviewing some security features gives me great confidence that I won’t lock myself out without serious mistakes on my part, but leaves it secure enough that it would be challenging for someone to get in without knowing a lot about this and personal info. Overall if you’re getting into crypto or want a more secure setup. This is a great option. Quality hardware, well designed app, and a few failsafe options for recovery make this a no brainer for most!

The Tangem wallet cards are a well though out solution to the (at least in 2026) "age" old problem of accessing your cryto account. These devices are generally referred to as cold wallets and there are a number of different schema and access types, with varying levels of safety, security, and backup. Tangem is attempting to corner the market and also split the difference between robust security / air gap and ease of use. As a beginner in this market, ease of use is not easy to come by. Anyone who's looked at competitor Ledger was perhaps as daunted as I was by the complexity of their offering. Tangem cards pair with a phone app, which is probably their one largest point of weakness. Other wallet companies overcome this by having a screen on their device, but that, in my opinion, invites it's own set of issues. The Tangem 3 pack with multiple cards and their avoidance of using 24 word seed phrases seems like a good combination of backup and redundancy, ease of use, and security. I found these to be simple to get started with and start using, after having done some research on the alternatives. Overall these are well made, robust, and paired with a solid service that I hope I have more reasons to use.

Most hardware wallets I've seen ask a lot of you before they'll protect a dime. Charge the battery, install a desktop app, update the firmware, write down a seed phrase, and then guard that phrase like it's a national secret. Tangem throws almost all of that out. It's 3 NFC cards are the size of a credit card and setup runs through your phone in a couple of minutes. Setup is pretty quick and painless: tap a card to the back of the phone, the app walks you through creating the wallet, you configure the other two as backups, and you're done. You don’t need to connect anything, charge anything, or really maintain or worry about at all. For anyone who's been putting off cold storage because the process looked intimidating, that low barrier is the whole pitch. The part that'll make or break it for you is the missing seed phrase. There's no 12 or 24 word backup to stash in a drawer. Your private key gets generated inside the card's secure chip during setup, and it never leaves. Each of the 3 cards holds that same key so they function as backups. I feel much safer and confident having redundant backups. No phrase sitting somewhere waiting to be photographed, phished, or misplaced. However, playing devils advocate, if you lose all three cards, that's it. The crypto's gone, and nobody, not even Tangem, can bring it back. So, the smart move is storing the cards in separate places from day one. Treat them like three keys to the same safe, kept in three different spots, preferably not all in the same overall physical location. You can also set the wallet up with a seed phrase if you'd rather keep that escape hatch, but the seedless route is the default and the one most people will want. Day to day, it does what a cold wallet should and gets out of the way. Sending crypto means tapping the card and entering your access code, so every outgoing transaction needs the physical card plus something only you know. That two-part gate is reassuring once you get the rhythm of it. As objects, the cards feel basically indestructible. No moving parts, no screen to crack, and they shrug off water and dust. That matters for something you might tuck in a bag or a drawer for years. Since there's no firmware to update, that’s also one less thing to babysit and one less door for anyone to sneak through. It supports a big range of coins and tokens, well over 16,000 assets across 80-plus networks, so odds are whatever you hold is covered. So who's this for? If you're newer to self-custody, or you just want cold storage you'll actually keep using instead of leaving your coins on an exchange, this is an easy call. Same if portability and a no-fuss routine matter more to you than a hardware screen or a desktop app. Heavy DeFi users who want on-device transaction verification and deep desktop tooling will probably feel boxed in. For everyone else who's been meaning to get serious about keeping crypto off the internet, this is about as painless as cold storage gets.

I’m relatively new to the game when it comes to crypto. I used to kind of dabble with it, and within the last few years I’ve become more involved. I have was through apps I usually access on my phone. I’ve never been hacked, and I’ve never misplaced my passwords. I’ve also never had an issue of having to recover my accounts. At the same time, I never gave much thought to the safety of my money and how easily it could be taken without me, even knowing. They referred to it as cold storage. I’m of course referring to the Tangem wallet for crypto storage. It looks more like a plain credit card with the company name on it. It works by taking advantage NFC link between the card and your phone. Think of it like this. You manage your crypto across your various platforms, all through your phone. Think of this as cold storage (offline storage of your digital assets). But doing it with a hot wallet where you can gain easy access to your products. So literally the best of both worlds. Easy access with the cards and increased security because you are using the cards. For me? The biggest thing was the ability to back up my data. No more phrases you have to record, no words to remember. Again, I’m new to this and beginning my journey here. Most will say late, but it better than never. I know now my data is safe and my wife can get a hold of it should something happen to me. That’s a big win for me. I’m sure more advanced traders use these, but as a beginner I highly recommend adding this impressively secure option to secure your digital assets. I highly recommend it.

I think this is a fantastic wallet, the support is excellent. Your basically going to be able to hold the private keys for anything you would like within reason. The hardware wallet itself is awesome! I own multiple wallets and was initially sceptical of a wallet without a screen but this has made me realize that not having a screen is really not an issue as long as your diligent about checking wallet addresses and whatnot. The ease of being able to carry a card with you Incase you have to make a transaction on the fly is something that isn't going to be possible with most other wallets. Having multiple cards stored in multiple locations makes breaking into your wallet impossible without your passphrase or other cards, since multiple cards are needed to enter the wallet without the passphrase. Honestly it's one of the most secure wallets out there. And probably one of the easiest to set up and use as well. I just want to say that there is no "perfect wallet". Every single one I've used has had some kind of annoying flaw. I have to say the tangem wallet is the closest to perfect I have used.

Tangem is the defacto leader of the Digital Wallet cards. Online databases only hold your digital currency for you. They say you have a certain amount of whatever crypto earmarked to your name. But you're not really holding onto it. A Tangem wallet changes this. You now have your own physical presence on the ledgers. Now, for the cards themselves. 3 may seem like overkill, but if you had 1 BTC floating around on a wallet and you lost the card, I bet you would be upset! Having 3 lets you store one in your pocket, 1 in your safe and 1 off site, maybe a safe deposit box at your bank. Tangem has a very nice app to use for your phone, allowing you to set your wallet up quickly. You then have the ability to add coins directly to the wallet by transferring them in or purchasing them. The card itself is stylish and the size of a standard credit card. The built in NFC allows you to tap your card to your phone to log into the account, which is a safeguard of having physical access to both in order to get in. You can also set up a fingerprint scan or a password. It is customizable to your needs.
