Does what it can. Good product.

At home, I always prop up the rear of a laptop to allow ample airflow for cooling, but I don’t have that at work. Just elevating on a porous surface helps, and the fan makes it better. Where my laptop would roar trying to keep cool, it hardly makes a peep now. Only down side is that it doesn’t have an on/off switch, so if you use a USB port that always has power (e.g., some docking stations), you have to physically unplug it to shut it off.

The 16" Single Fan Chill Mat is designed with grip pads to help stabilize most laptops, but depending on the laptop’s surface or angle, sliding can sometimes occur.
