Bought this for a Mini 2 to replace my original Modal case which was excellent protection. Reason I bought this is for wraparound the edge protection with a lip to protect the screen and a rubberized back to provide good protection for drops – in my experience hard plastic just cracks. The case does have the rubberized back and is well-made however has three downfalls: the worst is the little flap to close it. When you try to use the case in a propped up position horizontally the stupid flap gets in the way of viewing the screen. If you tuck it under the back of the case, it becomes unstable. In order to hold it down with the weight of the iPad so it won't stick up in front of the screen you have to adjust the angle too far forward and it slips off anyway. It also gets in the way of the on screen keyboard. Super annoying and I wish I had not bought this. Other two flaws: this is supposed to fit all the iPad mini's but the mini 2/Retina is a little bit thicker, so on one of the four sides the lip is constantly peeling back away from the screen edge and not staying in place. Not a dealbreaker but also annoying. Lastly there are two complete breaks in the wraparound protection: one at the lightning port and the other at the top center around the microphone. In my Modal case these were openings but not complete breaks; now there is some exposed screen edge. Unfortunately they stopped making the Modal in the same original design for the mini although it is still available for the full-sized iPad. I would not buy this again and I will probably end up buying something else. I cannot live with that flap. That said, I think it provides good protection and when it is closed it stays shut really well. And the magnetic sleep/wake off feature works fine. - But what were they thinking with this flap!

This case is a perfect fit for the mini. A rubbery material and comfortable to pack in your travel bag

Pricey, but, I get the value of my money. Excellent quality that could be a lifetime use.

I like that this case doesn't add a lot of bulk. Many cases feel like they triple the thickness of the Ipad. The surface of the case has some grip to it, so it doesn't feel like it's going to slide out of my hand/off the table. When it closes the flap goes around the edge and magnetically latches, so it isn't going to shift in a bag fooling the Ipad into thinking it's open and drain the battery. The cover provides screen protection and when open forms and stand. One of the more functional cases I've used.

I bought this case for my girlfriend since I own one for my iPad Air. Usually she gets the girly cases that don't tend to protect much. So I explained to her that an iPad can last you a lifetime if she gets herself a case that is attractive,professional looking and will sustain any hard impact. So we walked into best buy and we both chose this case due to it being light weight extremely sturdy and hugs tightly around all edges of the iPad mini. The material allows for easy clean up for kids with sticky fingers. We purchased this and a glass screen protector and it's solid now. I will always stick with Targus

This appears to offer solid protection and flexible use. It fits the iPad mini 2 like a glove. The magnetic closure works fairly well, but I've seen stronger. It doesn't rotate, if that's an issue - we don't mind. Decent value.

I got the new iPad mini 4 as a gift and I was looking for something that would protect it, be functional and affordable as well. The only reason I wouldn't give this a five star rating would be because it scratched easily, but then again that's the function of a case. It fits perfectly and it gives complete protection without the bulk.

I found the Targus 3-D protection case to be an excellent fit for my I Pad mini. It provides soft protection with a well designed carry and cover. I like the non slip surfaces for grip and yet it has the softer cover for no scratches effect on fhe screen. Kick stand works for several different screen angles. Do no try to fit the heavy Zagg glass on the Ipad mini face and expect it to fit with precission! Does not work.

Currently there is a limited selection of cases for the iPad mini 4. This case is fine for the price, it protects all sides which is a feature I like. The case is lightweight and easy to put on. The sleep/wake feature will not work on the iPad mini 4 but that is disclosed in the packing. This case does the job of protecting your device for the price.

This iPad mini 4 case offers good protection and is easy to take off and on. It doubles as a stand for viewing the iPad.

I stumbled across this case while researching a new case for my iPad mini 4. I have had other Targums cases, Otterbos cases and the Apple smart covers for my previous iPad minis. While they were all fine and worked well, this case far outshines them all. Portfolio styling with a rubber-like exterior makes it easy to hold and very protective when closed. Well ventilated and easy access to all ports and camera. Also serves as a stand for use with a keyboard. The otter box was very protective but very bulky. The Smart Cover and back protected against scratches but didn't offer much shock protection. The previous Targes cases were functionally useful and attractive but didn't offer the protection that this case offers. You will nor be disappointed!

To be honest I bought this case because it looked cool! But it has turned out to be a great case. It's rugged but also looks very high tech! It's easy to operate my iPad while it's in it! And the stand feature works really well too!

I like this case. It holds my iPad mini and flips open to stand up. Lightweight. The only thing is that the volume buttons and the mute button is harder to access, but that is the only negative thing about it.

Great protection in a slim design. It provides 360 degree coverage and a stand when you need one. Not annoying when you flip cover completely over. Got it for a great price!

Great iPad protection, light weight and easy to secure

Handy and good protective cover for everyday use. Looked at Otterbox product but found it much bulkier for everyday use. Would recommend the Targus to friends.

I LOVE this case. It was affordable, protects my iPad well, and is very sleek and stylish. The magnetic closure is a great feature as well!

My wife bought this for her iPad and it does a great job at protecting it. She's dropped it out of the car while getting out and no damage to the case or the ipad. Does make it a bit bulky though but worth it to protect our investment.
