This bag is great, comfortable, affordable, and has tons of space. I had and older version for about 6 years, and the bag went through a beating, I used it as a carry on for traveling, as well as a general all purpose backpack for any reason even if I wasn’t carrying my laptop. The only reason I finally got a new one is because the zippers finally started to break, so now it is a "camelback" for riding my bike . So I was looking for a new bag and came across this one as an online special, the reviews were great and spot on. Thanks everyone else it made the choice easy. The only thing I do not like about this bag is the location of the I-pod pocket, It is located low on the bag about where your lower back is, it makes the ear phone cable stretch almost taught, if it was located higher it would be perfect, however it is easily remedied, I just moved it to the upper pockets of the bag and let the earphone cord come out by the zipper. Also this bag comes with a holder for a “PDA or Sunglasses” on one of the shoulder straps. I have a Blackberry Storm and it doesn’t fit in the holder and from the looks of it most cell phones or sunglasses won’t fit either. But it is removable with Velcro strips. Again this bag has more then enough space to compensate for that.

This is a great backpack, and for fifteen dollars shipped it was a steel. I have a T61p thinkpad with the extended battery, and it fits effortlessly, unlike my previous backpack. Books can be stored in both the laptop and second partition. There is a pocket for everything you can think of. It is also a very comfortable backpack. I am an engineering student and quite often overload my backpack. With my old b Kelly bag this was unbearable, but the octave’s weight distribution is great.

I too bought this at Best Buy during their $24.99 sale. Great price!!! Unfortunately, I couldn't see the layout of the pockets since this was an online only sale and they did not have any of these at the actual store. Took a shot in the dark and I'm glad I did! I am very pleased on the design of this back pack! The pockets and partitions are done very well for easy access. It has lots of room for everything (Laptop, Books, CD's, iPod, Phone, etc). The only thing that I might change is the CD holder (personal preference). I would've like to have seen a hard backing to make sure that my CD's won't bend or break. However, I will mention that there is a pocket behind the CD holders which can hold a decent sized book or few magazines. I plan on doing this anyway, so there really is no problem. Overall I am quite happy with this back pack! This will be my laptop transport and carry on from here on out! I bought this bag for my new toshiba laptop. I bought it online over Thanksgiving for $24.99 including shipping. Great deal on a $60 backpack. This stores the laptop evenwith it's extended battery very securely and includes plenty of room for all of the extras (mouse, cables, disks, etc.) The bag is padded against the back and has the ability to breathe so it is not hot and uncomfortable carrying for long periods.

I received the backpack prior to Christmas 2009 as a gift to myself. Since I was planning to travel for the holidays, I needed a good bag for carrying my computer in. This bag was an excellent choice! There is plenty of room and plenty of pockets. It has an even distribution in weight and ease in carrying. I really love this bag!

This backpack is perfect to fit everything you need for a person with a computer on-the-go. It has plenty of partitioned areas for things like the generously padded laptop compartment, folders and files, paperwork, travel mouse or iPod compartment, bungee to hold a jacket, dual water bottle holders, travel hard drive storage, business card holder, cell phone holder on the strap...the list goes on! What I was not happy about was the durability of the bag itself. Obviously, if a bag has this many compartments one would think the company that designed the bag would take into account that the bag would become quite heavy when filled to capacity. And even filled with all this heavy equipment, the bag is extremely comfortable and easy to get around with, due to the generous five pads on the back. However, after only about one month of use I noticed the strap is beginning to come apart at the seams, exposing the inner foam material (which seems like an awefully cheap foam) inside the strap. This is quite discouraging because the material is fraying so badly that it can't even be sewed due to the fast deterioration of the fabric. So basically, this bag will be no good in about a month-giving the totally life of the product two months of usability. It's really a shame because I've been through about half a dozen different styles of bags before finally finding the perfect one-this one-and the one problem with it is that I won't be able to actually carry it around after long, even though the actual bag is in good shape. The only other complaint I would have is that the "cell phone holder" doesn't actually fit any cell phone that one may have. To be honest, it looks more like a holder for a utility knife than for a cell phone. Overall, I love this bag! I only wish the shoulder straps were built to last as long as the actual bag seems to be built to last.

I got this backpack when is was on sale for $25, i just wanted it for my laptop. when i took it to school with the laptop and some other books it felt so comfortable. There is some padding on the back that the photos dont show. Feels like memory foam. I liked how it was exactly like my school backpack but better so now i have that backpack in my closet and use this one as my everyday bag. Best purchase i have made in a long time.

I purchased this at the end of July. On the first real use of the case, I noticed that the stitches for the main pocket unravelled for approximately 3 inches. Just yesterday, I noticed that the stitching was pulling away on one of the main straps. Despite its size, I don't believe the stitching is sufficient to be able to fully use the bag. My advice is to look for something more rugged.

yah, when i see this deal on best buy at just 24,99 , then i right a way bought two of um..coz the brand name wise its well known brand and quality wise its' nice too, so, over all i really liked it....

Its great. Has a ton of storage and my boyfriend loves it. Was the perfect Christmas gift. He carries it everyday with a Dell Vostro and has no complaints.

The bag overall is ok for min usage. it's not good for a bunch of heavy wear and tear. good for just lap top and maybe a small hard drive and plugs.

Lots of room. Several pockets, easy to carry with one hand. Just what I was looking for to carry laptop, books, water and some other stuff.

I thought this was a very good bag. Typically Targus bags have very good quality and this is no exception. Great finish.

The bag was great if it can last for more than a week. The stitch for the shoulder pad come off in weeks. I wasn't even carry anything heavy laptop. It is just a regular 15" laptop. I returned the first purchase thinking I got a defective with a second. After another week, it break off again. Since Targus provide what so called LIFETIME warranty, I called and they ask me to ship the bag in for service by my expense. I took the 2nd bag back to Best Buy for exchange since it is still within 30 days. I got the 3rd bag thinking it is a charm!!!, but NO it break again. I really like the bag, but it is so terrible, I just cannot stand it anymore. It is going back to best buy for 1 last time before my 30 days is up. I think this bag had great design and all I want, but I cannot go to best buy for new bag to exchange bag every weekend. TAKE MY ADVICE and save your time... DO NOT BUY!!!
