Overall this was a great purchase. Easy set up for combination and the cable was long enough to reach the desk and bed in dorm room. Still worry about someone stealing the computer by breaking the lock off of the computer. It is only secured by two prongs.

Bought this lock for my daughter to use for her laptop in her dorm. I set it up for her and it was easy to configure the combo and the cable was long enough that she wasnt constricted to being in just one small space once it was locked. She did have problems unlocking it the first time, but she wasn't looking at the correct set of 3 numbers to unlock, even though they are outlined by a framed box.

Am pretty satisfied for what's expected for a cable with a combination lock. Got it for my macbook pro that still has a security slot. It won't deter the determined thief who has a cable cutter. If it is yanked out forcibly, it will probably damage the laptop security slot. But overall it's okay for peace of mind for low security.

This lock is easy to set up and does its job. Definitely a good buy for those worried about someone walking away with their stuff!

Seems like it was missing some spacers that were referenced in the directions, in order to get a tighter fit. Package was unopened, so don't know why they were missing. Got it at discount, and still works, though it fits a bit sloppy.

The lock fit perfectly into my laptop and it was easy to change the combination to my own private code.

I feel very secure leaving my laptop in the hotel during the day when I have this cable on it.

You need a small screwdriver to initially set the combo. It does a nice job of locking up my sons laptop at college. No key to worry about. Dials are easy to operate, does what it was designed to do. Includes a decent quality screw in hasp. Nice long length and pretty flexible.

Price point was on target, shipped fast and perfect for college life!

Great lock for the money and a good choice for a college dorm. It's easy to set the combination, although you need a small flat blade screwdriver to do it. It has good cable length for wrapping around a bed or desk frame.

Keeping our son's electronics secure while at college was a worry of ours and we were happy to find this lock at Best Buy, no other store we tried carried them! He has no problem or difficulty is using this lock.

I did the homework and Targus has the best laptop locks. I can also state Best Buy has the best price on Targus locks. My son will be taking this lock that works on his Dell laptop to college in the fall of 2015. Great deal from Best Buy.

Once the combo was changed (which was harder than many combo locks I've seen, but doable once I really sat down to do it) it's a great lock. I got it primarily for travel because it was on sale, but I haven't gone anywhere yet, but I've used it around the house and it looks like it'll do the job just fine. The combo part swivels so you can read it from a lot of different angles, which is REALLY nice.

This lock fit my needs exactly. I was looking for a lock with a key, but I think I enjoy the combination even more. The tumblers work smoothly. I like the smaller lock mechanism. The cable is just the right length. The only issue is that the in store price was higher than the online price so I had to make the stop price match.
