In addition to the quality and durability I've come to expect from Targus, the dome protection system will add an extra layer of protection for your laptop screen. Targus cases also always have just the right amount of pockets and slots to hols all your stuff so you don't have to choose what you bring and what you don't. In summation, Targus is the best!

We just bought this about 2 weeks ago but it has been very handy. I have a 17.3 inch laptop that fits in there perfectly. There is an extra pouch for storing your mouse and power cord. This works well for keeping my computer from moving around while traveling around the country.

Not much of a selection of this size (17") in the store. It does have a Velcro band to secure smaller laptops. Has plenty of Pockets/Holders for Accessories. Adjustable Sholder Strap is easy to use and the length is good.

After looking for the Wife's new Mac. I asked the salesman. He used this case as his carry in Iraq whilst with his Marine unit. I got it and my wife loves it. Next year when she got me a Mac Book Pro she was at the Gettysburg College and students sell stuff at end of term auction and got one for $1.00 I now have one. Excellent room for papers, comp,charger,cables,headphones.mouse and loads of other things. good strap and is waterproof i got caught in a rainstorm me and the case got soaked running from the hotel to car. all dry inside. I would definitely recommend this case lots of padding and having slots both sides means adding magazines and papers either side gives extra protection.

Seems to be built well. There is plenty of spaces for all the things you need to carry. The handle is built to hold a heavier bag. So you don't have the handle comining off like other bags. All in all a good case.

I needed a case for a new lap top so I went shopping lots of wana bes out thier in the price range of 30 dollars. Then I saw this case targus, I like the brand , it will hold all my stuff and room left over will carry up to a 17 inch lap top and the way this is built it will be hear in about three years when I up grade laptops. protection is a big plus and this case protects on all sides and all ends even a place to keep my cell phobne if I want to evrything a salesman needs to do business and at night evrything I need for my hobbies and pastimes. It may be a little pricy but it will do all you need with with plenty more to give I think this is a great purchase and would recomend it to any body. One more thing this is a great bag to put some of your reward zone dollars on helps with the cost

The Targus Platinum Blacktop Deluxe Laptop Case carries a good deal more than just the laptop and has lots of compartments. Does get a bit heavy because there is so much room to put stuff in. Was a reasonable price.

I've been using Targus bags for my laptops for the past 7 years and I am still using the one I bought for my fist laptop. These are durable, well made bags. This was the only one I could find to fit my new ASUS G73SW laptop. I guess the only thing I can criticize on this bag, as opposed to the others, is that the clip for the front flap is almost impossible to open and close with one hand while it is draped over your shoulder.

This case has lots of storage space, and is indeed wide enough for my 17" Dell Studio 35 notebook, but not quite wide enough to place the power supply comfortably to the side of the notebook. Also, the depth and height of the main compartment are such that there is a 1.5" gap at the back of the notebook, and a 1.5" gap depth wise (in their defense, the Studio 35 *is* a pretty thin notebook...). The best feature, aside from all the nifty pockets and pouches, is the Dome Protection System. It's a tiered dome on each half of the case that distributes pressure away from the center of the screen, helping absorb impact, and (hopefully!) averting damage to the LCD. It's sturdy, the shoulder strap has a nice gel-like pad, and it has quick access areas for files, documents, CDs/DVDs, etc. I can't speak a whole lot about durability, as I rarely travel far with my notebook (it weighs a ton...) but when I *do* take it out and about, I have complete confidence in this case.

Nice product. It is well made and will hold up for a good while. Nice and roomy to hold all chargers, wires, mice, etc. that may be needed. May caompartments available - good design.

Love the roominess and durability. Comfortably holds laptop and all accessories including lap desk. In fact, my daughter took this and left me with her generic case that can't handle everything!

is a good bag would buy again, it has pockets and room for my cooling pad, mouse, and ac adapter, plus files and disks, etc.. would like to see more colors though.

The only case to fit my enormous 17" Asus gamer laptop, including its oversized power brick and accessories, and it still has a lot of extra storage space. Great as a travel carry-on thanks to all the extra compartments and sturdy, reinforced design.

Could not find a laptop that fits the G74SX series laptops before this one. After removing the velcro laptop compartment partition it just barely fits in there Appears to have plenty of screen/computer protective padding. Plenty of room else where for the cords, mouse, folders, etc.

I haul my computer and other useful things around with this case everyday. I find it to be very handy and useful. It's also durable enough to protect my laptop from my clumsiness or carelessness.

I actually bought this because my old briefcase had worn out. I needed a laptop case anyawy, so I figured why not buy a higher end version to be used as both a laptop case and briefcase.

This is my first laptop case ever, and it is not at all what i had expected when i bought it. This case has pockets for everything, and then some. It has a built in pocket for files, discs, gadgets, and anything else you might want to take with you for a mobile office. There is plenty of room for my 15.4" laptop, and my buddy could fit his 17" on in there no problem as well. I bought this case for $45, which is a little expensive, but if this is the only case i will ever need during the life of this laptop, I think its well worth the money. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a high quality case.

Perfect for anyone with a 17" widescreen laptop or smaller. Comfortably I carry my 17" Widescreen Laptop, Cooling Pad, Power Cord, Mouse, External HD, External DVD Drive, Headphones and Blank DVD / CD's all in this case without it getting bulky or unmanageable.

It is a great bag. Fits everything, a couple notepads and files, my protable hd and gps and all kinds of goodies, and protection is great. Unfortunately, the strap that is supposed to hold the laptop must be designed for ultra fats. My laptop is 1" thick, and the velcro overlaps itself just barely enough to hold. The retainer should be a couple inches shorter. Also, it has a handy bag for storing power supply, but if you have a 17"+ bag (probably anything over 15") you can't use the default setup with the power supply next to the laptop. You have to just kind of throw it in there. But, out of the options available for a giant laptop, this is a great choice.

This bag fits my 17" HP wide screen notebook quite snugly, and looks good doing it. The two together are a bit on the heavy side, but the shoulder strap is very comfortable. There are ample storage compartments to carry all my other accessories and even a textbook if I can shoulder the additional weight. The materials seem very sturdy and I have no fear of taking it into light weather. There was a little zippered bag included that presumably holds a power brick included, and though that tore in the first week, I just stashed everything into one of the other many compartments. Overall this is a very good bag, just snag one when they go on sale!
