My primary concern was getting my laptop off my lap for long sessions on the couch without making it hotter (like using a pillow or something could do). This certainly does that. The fans are pretty quiet, although definitely audible. I watched various temperature sensors on my Mac and didn't notice a huge difference. What I care about the most, though, is that my lap is no longer hot.

Bought this laptop cooler. It folds down to a travel size, enough to put it in your bag. The USB connection for power was great. The smooth operation of the twin fans was quite and provided the cooling factor that was needed. You should try this one out.... Going to give some out as gifts for the holidays...

My boyfriend bought this to prop up his laptop while gaming or surfing the internet in bed. So far, it has kept his laptop cool. Other than slight adjustment issues (it collapses if he shifts about to get comfortable) he hasn't complained about it.

Love how quiet his fan-pad is. It also does a great job of keeping my 18+ inch laptop well within it's operating range. Would love it even more if it had a pull-out mouse tray so that I could use in on something other than a desk surface.

This chill mat was a pretty decent deal. It can be adjusted to tilt your laptop up a bit to allow more air to circulate and also make it a little easier on the hands/wrists while you're typing. It also easily packs into your computer bag to take with you when you are on the go.

The fan works, it is lightweight and supports the laptop just fine. It does not move a lot of air, and so it provides only minimum cooling benefits. However, it does help to direct the hot air away from you.

It is easy to use. It is light and seems durable. It doesn't seem to eat the battery life either in my laptop. You don't hear it running which is nice, but I do find myself checking to make sure it is on.

Not an expensive laptop chill mat, but it works well with dual fans. Quiet and light weight. I like that you can adjust the tilt so that your hands rest more at a more natural angle for typing.

Bought one of these because my MacBook Pro sometimes runs a little hot while running certain games - not hot enough to really run the fan, but hot enough to not be comfortable on my lap during the summer. Works great. Unlike most of the other cooling pads on the market, this one has fabric on the bottom (as opposed to plastic) which makes it that much better. My wife was instantly jealous of it and now we have two. Would definitely recommend. *** The second one we bought turned out to be defective. One of the fans must have been misaligned and was hitting on the housing; it was quite loud. Best Buy took it back no questions asked; I bought another one and haven't had a problem.

The item does what it says; it keeps the laptop cool. When it's plugged into the USB port, my laptop doesn't even use the internal fan to keep cool but you must have venting in the bottom of your laptop for it to work. However, it does increase the amount of power your machine draws which increases the amount of heat the machine generates. Heat is bad for machines but, as I said, it does do a good jobe of removing it. Battery operation with this device is staggering. It will reduce your battery operating time by 80% so I would'nt use it that way.

I don't have a lot of past experience with these fans, but this one seems to work very well. Our laptop stays cool and so do our laps. I like the adjustable height and the great price.

Works well for the price. Seems to be very quiet so far. The extra tilt angle comes in handy.

This gadget really helps my son keep his laptop from overheating and also provides a slight incline for easier typing. It's light and portable, so he actually uses it!

This chill mat works well. I have a 6 year old laptop that has issues with the internal fan. The chill mat forces enough air into the internal fan to keep it spinning.

This is wonderful. It keeps my laptop cool when it's on my lap! Wonderful product.

I have been using this mat for almost a month. I purchased this because my wooden desk somehow makes my laptop hot. Since I put my laptop on this, the issue is gone. The size fit perfect to my 15 inch wide screen laptop. You can make the slope on the mat, and it is actually a great function even on the desk. It make you feel comfortable when you are typing. The only downside is the noise level. It is louder than my first expectation, but when you concentrate on doing something, you would forget about it. Given the price and the overall performance, I am satisfied with this.

I had a fan go out on a 6 month old laptop so I purchased this product to avoid replacing a fan or computer. It works great! It's like having a small lap desk to prop the computer on but it blows air into the computers bottom to keep it comfortable.

I have purchased two of these fans, with the first lasting over two years. I tend to have my laptop on for very long periods of time, completing multiple processes at the same time and I have never run into an issue with this product. When my first one finally broke down, which isn't necessarily true since it now works again, I didn't have to think about what I would replace it with. I went right back to Best Buy, went directly to where this item was located, and purchased it.

I like this chill mat. I bought it to replace a smaller & cheaper one that I had for a smaller laptop. The larger laptop fits well on it. Sturdy. Also the dual fans keep the laptop cool, and are very quiet. Worth every penny I paid for it.

Love the fact that the small fan keeps my laptop and computer cool. The angle for working is very comfortable. Great price doesn't hurt either
