Though most hotels offer hair dryers, wanted to be able to use my travel hair dryer while in France for the defuser attachment. Did not realize that, in addition to needing a plug adapter, I also needed a voltage converter.

My wife brought her laptop from Asia and it had different plug shape from what we see here switch holes. This international adapter saved my extra expense by making her laptop work here in the US.

Best Buy has great selection and prices when I'm on a mission for a product.. But, the shopping experience seems to be dampened by the lack of customer support or lackluster service when it is needed. Research is definitely a must before going into the store, as any unaware consumer can be discouraged by the lack of proactive service and knowledge by staff. Looking for assistance with product availability or price check can be a painful task. I like the products and the quality so far from my past purchases. Nonetheless, Best Buy should look into better training their staff regarding service, courtesy, and product knowledge. Otherwise, the poor consumer will be left helpless..

These are my favorite kind of travel adapters for their compactness. I haven't tested all the adapters yet, but the one's I've tried so far work great.

I bought this item because I needed to connect a modem for the long-term that was shipped to me from the UK. It has not given me any problems and it has been a couple of months of non-stop energy flows!

Bought this for a trip to Israel. It worked great. I used it to charge my iphone and my Chromebook. You can plug a 3 plug extension into. I had no problems. Its compact and packs easily. Very happy with the purchase.

Bought these for my husband's trip to France. He said it worked as advertised. If we were to buy something like this again we would have gotten a version with built in USB.

Targus - Travel Power Adapters - Black. Great for traveling into Europe

This is a nice compact power plug adapter set for traveling in multiple countries.

I was travelling to the UAE and realized I needed a power adapter at the last minute. Best Buy had a number of options but I am glad I chose the Targus one. The price was reasonable and was perfect for my needs in the UAE and the following week in Greece.

I traveled to India with this and it was fabulous! Depending on where you went, some places took US plugs, other's took British or Indian plugs. This allowed for every situation. Very compact and lightweight and all the pieces fit inside one another for storage.

Bought this item for my trip to England and France. It works great. Gets the job done. Used it with my various devices (phone, laptop, hair dryer, straightener). No complaints. Vacation duration: 1.5 weeks.
