The protection it offers is basic against scratches or scuffs to your laptop, however it does not offer protection against drops. Has a secondary pocket large enough for a charger and mouse, simple and nice design. You can't place a lock on it due to the single zipper design.

It took lots of abuse for almost a year. Still keeps my laptop and accessories safe. Main pouch zipper is pretty sturdy, no complaints.

There is a secondary pouch that is great for storing accessories, chargers, tablet, etc. that is great for when I travel. It is a bit big so it takes up a decent amount of space in my backpack but definitely worth it.

It came with a foam insert that I left in as added padding because it was a bit less padded than I thought it would be, but with a lightweight device this does the job nicely with an exterior zip pocket for blue tooth mouse, power cord, headphones, etc.

Zippered pocket on outside can fit power adapter and small wireless mouse, but could be a bit tight for some. Zippers on both closures appear to be heavy-duty.
