Device works as advertised. Used it on a fully loaded MacBook Pro 2013 and then switched to a MacBook Pro 2018. (Note - I needed to by a USB-C to USB 3.0 adapter for MBP 2013) Saw some screen performance increase just a bit on the newer machine - which makes sense. Both machines are able to run Laptop Monitor and TWO externals flawlessly. No shutdown, no overheating. On my older Mac, I had some lag time on the low resolution monitor (One Thunderbolt Display and one Lenovo 1280p) when I ran Photoshop and Dreamweaver at the same time. With some power management I was able to deal with it. On the MB 2018 I am running closed laptop, with 2 Thunderbolt displays and one low res Lenovo. Works perfect.

I needed this for work to accommodate dual monitors for a laptop (or a desktop if necessary). Works perfectly!

This is a great piece of equipment to have. Works great for what I need it for. Helps with the multitasking I have to do.

The docking station works great with my USB-C equipped laptop. It was simple to connect both external monitors, all the peripherals and laptop. Additionally it gives me an Ethernet connection, that my laptop lacked.

Bought device because Best Buy clerk said it would work with anything. Then discovered that I needed a USB-C to USB-3 male-male cable to use it with my work computer. Returned home to find out that now it doesn't work with either my USB-C home computer (which it worked with previously) or my USB-3 work computer. Have to spend time on phone with Targa tech support tomorrow to find out why. Not happy.

Worked for about a month, Then the monitor and keyboard connected would randomly drop. This device cant handle 2 4k monitors connected at the same time as advertised. Had to connect one monitor to this and one to the laptop. Returning it today for something quite cheaper that will perform the same with one monitor connected to dock and one to laptop

Works really cool with a laptop. I’m used tot he docking stations that plug in. This works really well.

I would have liked this dock if the monitor attached to it didn't lose signal after random periods of use. The only way we could get the monitor to work again was to unplug/replug the USB-C dock cable or power cycle the dock. Sometimes power cycling the dock was the only option. Returned both units.

Purchased this to use with Mac Brook Pro. It has worked great.

I work in an office setting and almost always struggle with dongles that try to support 2x 4k monitors. This little guy works perfectly if you install the software first. It's not plug and play.. Works for both Mac and PC. The best option I have found to date.

For the premium price, I expected so much more out of this. Don't get me wrong, IT WORKS, just not quite as expected/advertised. Definitely didn't provide 4K (or even full HD) resolution in my case. If you have onboard Intel Graphics with a discrete GPU for gaming DO NOT bother. It will default to the onboard graphics card for your external monitors every time. I even tried disabling the Intel card on my laptop and for some reason, it loaded down the NVIDIA card but performance on the display was TERRIBLE. I was using it for a one-cable docking solution for a Dell G7 15" laptop, and it almost got done what I needed it to, but the glaring issues with the onboard GPU and the fact that Thunderbolt 3 doesn't carry enough power to charge my particular laptop made it not-the-right-fit-for-me. I ended up exchanging it for a LG 34" ultrawide monitor that cost about the same amount so I could emulate a dual external monitor setup with one HDMI cord. My attempt at a 1-cable docking solution is currently sitting at 3-cords (power, HDMI, USB 3.0 hub). I have a USB-C hub on order that provides Ethernet, HDMI, and USB 3.0, so hopefully I can get down to a 2-cord connection every time I wish to dock my laptop. A shame, because it sounded really good on paper. If you have an Ultrabook with thunderbolt 3 that only needs around 60W to charge and don't do any gaming, then I can definitely recommend this. Otherwise, unfortunately, no. :(

The premise is great, but the functionality in High Sierra and Mojave is broken on MacBook pros from 2016, and newest 2018 models. Computer will recognize the device and all items plugged into it, but will only deliver a black screen with a mouse curser unless run in mirroring mode. When in mirroring mode, the external displays both run with an unacceptable level of lag making this a poor solution for MacBook external monitors with recent software. Tried both HDMI and display port cables just to ensure it wasn't a cable / input issue.

When running dual screens it's a little bit slow. Other than that works fine.

i use this on my lenova yoga 720. there are really no other viable docks for my laptop. no glitches, errors... and charges it via the same tiny usb c cable.
