I am very impressed with the Recorder. I loved how light it was. It looked as if it would be bulky and heavy but was actually smaller (not too small) and light enough to just wear around your neck or mount to your camera with very little additional weight. The manual adjustments make it easy to understand where your levels are. The navigation is extremely simple and allows you to feel comfortable with the flow. The recording function is great since it allows you to pause your recording so if you are recording the same scene or take over and over it will all be saved to the same file. (this made organizing my workflow a breeze) The stereo and mono choices are great when recording on the go. It works well with a 3.5 and XLR. Then on top of that it has a safety net when you record duel mono, or duel stereo which will record a separate audio file 6 dbs lower to account for accidental peaking which gives you clean audio to fall back on. I will say watch your levels on the screen and go off those when monitoring, the loudness of the monitor (headphone out) can make you think you are getting great signal but in reality it will be low to use. (operator error) The quality has really impressed me on multiple levels. I have used it with lav mics, Rode NTG2 and Rode video mic. It does a great job with each type keep noise out of the signal and gives you great dynamics. Over all this Recorder has suited my needs and much more. It is very well priced, you are really getting a higher quality recorder for a cheap price. You can't go wrong with this purchase.
