It was easy to set up great picture love extra features

I needed this exact size TV (39.5 diagonal) and the price was right. However the picture quality was terrible. Colors were off and washed out. I was shocked at how bad it looked. Consumer Reports has this TV on the list of TVs to never buy. I was about to return it. I could not figure out why some say the picture quality is great. It turns out it’s not the TV panel that is bad. It’s the Google operating system. If you purchase this TV be sure to use an external HDMI device to stream. I used the Roku center channel streaming device because I wanted a soundbar also to replace the terrible TV speaker. What a difference! The picture quality is now awesome!

It's an awesome TV, I got it because it is Google based, and it works great with the new Google home speaker. If you can afford it however, the 4k one is probably going to have a much sharper picture, but if it's just something for occasional use, you can't beat it

fantastic tv great picture quality budget friendly

The TV was working great and got even 10 times better when I added a sound bar and an Onn Pro media player but things went south weeks later when the TV started turning off and on on its own. The TV does not come with a factory reset button, this is my main issue; I can't reach the settings quick enough to reset it but the remote doesn't work properly either (another issue). I tried the recommended way to reset it via the power button and power cord to enter the recovery mode and have been unsuccessful. I got the 5 year extended warranty from Best Buy but they won't touch it since it's still under manufacture warranty and it's been a hassle contacting TCL customer support.

This TV works perfectly. It was very easy to install and set up. The Best Buy sales people were very helpful in helping me select the TV I was looking for. Very satisfied with my purchase and the price was good.

Good quality and have had no issues. Connects well and I like that I can use it with google home with voice commands.

I purchased a 40" TCL television for my daughter, and she is very satisfied with it. This was a quick purchase due to time constraints, but we definitely made the right choice. The picture quality is great, and overall, we are very happy with the television. The only issue was that the television was advertised at a discounted price, but it took the sales associate over 30 minutes to get the discount entered into the computer. In this day and age, I found that to be pretty frustrating and surprising. That said, we love the television and would definitely recommend it.

Tv was easy to setup. Quality looks great and sound is awesome. Had an issue with it glitching out for the first few watches but eventually it cleared itself up and havent had an issue since. Easy buy for anyone looking for an amazing, but cheap tv

Easy to set up. Picture is nice. Sound leaves a lot to be desired. Sound output limited so you can't connect it to older equipment. Looking at a HDMI ARC sound bar to alleviate the problem. Overall good for the money.

Very good value... the screen is bright and picture quality very good for the price. Thin vessels, which is appreciated. The Google TV interface is easy to use and useful. The remote does not have a dedicated microphone button, though.

I had to replace an older Samsung recently. After reviewing my options, I decided on a 43" TCL tv. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the picture and ease of setting up.

I have a 55 inch TCL which is great. So I bought this 40 inch for the bedroom, reasonable for the price. The only problem is the menu button (3 lines on the button) doesn’t work. It’s difficultly a software issue, it’s worked twice since I purchased the tv. Both times for less than 24 hours. I ordered a new remote from TCL, it still didn’t work. So that confirms the software issue. Also has a light that stay on while the TV is off, that annoying at night. I’m over all satisfied, just a little disappointed after my first TCL TV.

this is great tv. I got the tv for my granddaughter it was for her birthday and we can't get her a way from it and her little shows. I wish I had a photo but the tv looks great, the picture is very sharp, the volume it nice and the set was very easy to do.

Great picture, easy setup, mounted in less than 10 minutes. Amazed at how lightweight it was literally used 1hand to hold it.
