Customer Ratings & Reviews

Its a good tv for my needs. I don't game or watch sports but i do have trouble hearing the voices on most tvs and this one is much better than most. The picture is bright and it connects to 5G home wifi just fine. My only complaint would be the light on the bottom of the tv is VERRRRRY bright. If you are not putting this in a bedroom don't worry about it. But for me its about 5 feet from my bed it bothers me at night :(

The TCL-40" Class S3 S-Class 1080p FHD LED Smart TV with Fire TV is an excellent TV. The set up was easy. The picture quality is excellent. The Audio is great. You can download Apps. You can watch live TV. It came with a Fire remote that has a microphone attached to it that you could speak into. It's an overall great quality television.

I needed a monitor for my computer to review construction drawings. This TV did not disappoint. Great color, easy setup, and very responsive. I can’t say much about the audio or the smart features, as I don’t use them at all. However I am extremely satisfied with the purchase, and will be considering buying a TCL in the future for the master bedroom

I recently acquired the TCL 40 Inch Smart TV during Best Buy's Black Friday sale, and I must say it has exceeded my expectations in more ways than one. The sleek design seamlessly blends with my living room aesthetics, adding a modern touch to my entertainment setup. The picture quality is nothing short of impressive. The Full HD display delivers vibrant colors and sharp details, making movie nights and gaming sessions an immersive experience. The TV's LED backlighting ensures consistent brightness across the screen, enhancing the overall viewing pleasure. Navigating through the smart features is a breeze. The user-friendly interface provides easy access to a plethora of streaming services, and the built-in Roku platform ensures a vast library of apps at my fingertips. Setting up my favorite streaming accounts and customizing the home screen was quick and intuitive. The TCL 40 Inch Smart TV doesn't compromise on sound quality either. The integrated speakers produce clear and dynamic audio, enhancing the overall cinematic feel. While a dedicated sound system would undoubtedly elevate the audio experience, the TV's built-in speakers are more than sufficient for everyday use. Connectivity options are ample, with multiple HDMI and USB ports catering to various devices. Setting up my gaming console, Blu-ray player, and soundbar was a straightforward process, thanks to the well-placed ports on the TV. Energy efficiency is another standout feature. The TV is ENERGY STAR certified, reflecting TCL's commitment to eco-friendly technology without compromising performance. In conclusion, the TCL 40 Inch Smart TV is a fantastic addition to my home entertainment setup. It strikes the right balance between affordability and premium features, making it an excellent choice for anyone seeking a reliable and feature-packed smart TV. The Black Friday deal at Best Buy made this purchase even more satisfying, offering great value for money. I highly recommend the TCL 40 Inch Smart TV to those in search of a reliable and enjoyable viewing experience.

The picture quality is excellent, delivering vibrant colors and sharp details that enhance movie nights and gaming sessions. Setup was a breeze, taking just minutes to get everything up and running. For the price, this TV provides great value. The built-in Fire TV interface gives easy access to streaming apps and content. While the sound quality from the integrated speakers is decent, connecting external speakers can further elevate the audio experience. The 40” screen size works well for smaller spaces like bedrooms or apartments. The slim design looks sleek and modern. Connectivity options are plentiful with multiple HDMI ports. Overall, this TCL model punches above its weight class, offering features and performance typically found on pricier TVs. Nice picture and excellent price! Very easy to set up.

This aas my first TCL Tv purchase and i have to say i was impressed with it's ease of use and speed navigating through apps. I bought this for my father's automotive business and installing this on the wall was very easy compared to other Tvs because it is very light!

Overall very good Television especially for the price. First television I received had an internal crack but it was replaced promptly. The picture is clear and the sound is very good and perfect size for my son’s room. Would definitely recommend

Amazing tv for the price. Got it for my son’s room. 40” was on sale during Black Friday. This tcl performs better than most at this size. Deep blacks. Good color. Great value.

I recently purchased the TCL 40" Class S3 S-Class 1080p FHD LED Smart TV with Fire TV on Nov 18th, 2024, and I couldn’t be happier with it for the last 10 months. The picture quality is excellent—clear, bright, and sharp for a 1080p screen. The colors look vibrant, and it’s perfect for watching movies and shows. The built-in Fire TV makes streaming really easy. I can access all my favorite apps like Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube without needing any extra device. The interface is smooth and user-friendly, and the Alexa voice remote works great for quick searches. The sound quality is not good enough, but it's good now with my LG Speakers. Surprisingly good for a TV in this price range, and the design is sleek and modern, so it looks great in my living room. The setup was straightforward and took only a few minutes to complete. For the price($161.23), this TV is an amazing value. It’s perfect for everyday use, whether for movies, sports, or streaming. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and affordable smart TV.

It is a very good tv, is also my first tv. I like it alot, it is a very good size and sits well on my dresser. It was very easy to set up and has pretty much everything.

It is sad how far the quality of TVs has fallen in the past decade. We bought this to replace a Sony 32" TV from around the turn of the century with a bad infrared receiver board, and installed it in the same spot as the old one. We ran into two big headaches. First, there was no way to install it on the TV stand, because the new one has these sad little legs that are all the way out at the ends, which means it drops off the edge on both sides by about an inch. I'm not sure when all the manufacturers stopped selling TVs with pedestals, but it is really annoying to have to buy a VESA pedestal mount for just about every TV that we buy. Second, the sound on this TV is the worst I've heard in a TV in decades. It sounds like AM radio - no highs, no lows. Everything is incredibly muddy. Think 5-inch portable TV from 1986 with a single 2-inch mono speaker on the side, and you're in the right ballpark. Just assume that the very first thing you'll do when you buy this TV is drop another hundred bucks on a sound bar just to get audio that anyone can stand.

The TV has been great. It was easy to setup and has a great picture. I got it during the Black Friday sales so the price point was great. This is a bedroom TV.

Here is a 5 sentence review for your new flatscreen: This is a fantastic flatscreen TV that delivers an exceptional viewing experience. The large display produces vibrant, lifelike colors and deep blacks for an immersive picture. Setup was a breeze, and the slim, minimalist design looks great in my living room. The smart TV features provide easy access to all my favorite streaming services. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone in the market!

Excellent product! Light weight, ultra clear picture! Crisp sound. Love love it so much. I bought two of them!

Nice size for a bedroom TV, great graphics and quality, would recommend

Great picture, easy to navigate and use. Have had no problem with this purchase.

Excellent TV, picture quality is great for the size. Easy to mount for one person

Absolutely love this TV! Love the broad availability of apps that TCL provides, and is super easy to use! Quality is great, and TCL is definitely worth it!

Best Buy Open Box deal of a lifetime on this tv for $34 with tax! Ordered online and picked up at the Marlton NJ outlet. No box, but the helpful staff wrapped in bubble wrap. Even the one employee was saying what a crazy deal this was. Unit was flawless, just missing the legs, which I didn't need for my application on a rolling stand. Added the new mini Insignia soundbar, see my photo. Negatives are tinny sound quality, which was fixed with the $28 open box soundbar, and only has 1080p resolution. That said, I dare you to tell the difference six feet away vs. 4K unless you are showing crazy graphics, etc. The Fire interface is the best IMHO, and I see the new model of this TV has switched to Google.
