I was very pleasantly surprised at the technology in this TV for such a cheap price. Picture is sharp and clear (but drops off significantly as you move to view off center). Not a problem as this hangs on wall at foot of bed, so view is straight on. I need to use private listening so wifey can sleep, and did much research before I purchased. The main selling point was that the TV will work both with my cable box which I use for local channels, and can easily switch to Netflix/Hulu, etc. Unlike the Roku media sticks that I bought with headphones, to use headphones you need to install the roku remote app on smart phone and can then choose to have the sound go to your phone so you can use your wired or blue tooth headphones. Sounds great right? But what they DON'T tell you is that for some reason, private listening option is NOT available when using the cable TV box running through the Roku TV. This was a big disappointment as the main thing I needed was the ability to watch TV with headphones while my wife sleeps. So.... I can watch NetFlix or Hulu, etc. and the headphones option works great with the Roku Remote app, BUT I cannot listen thru headphones while watching a cable TV channel. I researched a lot after buying, about this, and they don't give a clear answer why it's like this. Also, it would have been great if the TCL Roku remote would come with a headphones jack like their other media streaming devices (I have Ultra LT and Streaming Stick Plus - both come with headphones jack so I don't have to use my IPhone Roku Remote app just for private listening). So on the whole, picture quality is great, sound is pretty good and it's a great value for the price. I just wish they could figure out how to get the audio from HDMI input devices to stream to headphones thru their remote app like they can with the streaming services.

Within a week of having the tv, I noticed several issues. The remote was lagging when searching Netflix. The sound and volume is not the best. I constantly have to locate the remote to turn the volume down and up between programs and ads. Supposedly on a community forum, the solution was to choose “leveling” volume option, which is not an option on my tv. I contacted TCL and I was given the unplug and reset steps. The tv stays in standby with the light still on when you cut off the tv. The picture quality is okay, but the sound options are not the best. Maybe it’s because they want you to buy their sound bar. The tv manual is not very helpful. A number of times in it they state not to return to the store. I am currently in back and forth emails with TCL Support. They want me to submit a warranty claim but I am still in Best Buy’s return time. Sounds like to me they want me to box it back up and return to Best Buy to purchase another brand tv. I really wish I didn’t have to box it back up.

I like TCL TV's a LOT. They may not be the "top" of the line for televisions but the majority of them have several HDMI ports and also component type connections. This is very important to me since I have numerous gaming systems, a regular VCR and several types of DVD and Blu Ray players so having the additional ports is super helpful. I also have an array of splitters for HDMI to isolate DVD/Blu Ray on one, six gaming systems on another and so forth. For the money TCL makes a really good product that is way more adaptable to 'other' type connnections. I don't know if the more recent versions are the same but I do know this is an important factor for me when buying a television.

I have had several of these TCL's over the last several years and they are great. This tv is just the right size and the roku feature is awesome. Easy set-up, great picture, I dont know how you beat this for the price.

I have already owned another TCL and I went for this again. And again I am super happy with the clear pictures, good sound and easy to use. I specifically wanted a Roku TV. The display is light weight. I just love it.

Really good picture but can't get it quite bright enough for me; perfect size, easy to set up. Remote is tiny and the volume/mute buttons on the side are annoying. But I love the TV in general.

This was purchased for use in a bedroom. It is also connected to DISH. It was a very good purchase. I'm also thinking of possibly connecting some game consoles.

This tv has all the feature you’d want from a smart tv. One feature that was a surprise is that you can control simple commands via a google home (on/off, volume control). The one gripe I have with the tv is the remote. It needs backlit light to be able to see the buttons at night. Picture quality wise, you are getting what you pay for. A sub $300 4K tv is only going to have as true a color as it can. If amazing picture quality is what you are after. You need to spend some more. This makes a great bedroom tv for kids.

This 4K UHD Smart TV is by far top of the line...for quality, easy of use; colors; and terrific price. Right out of the box easy set-up. Roku Smart product outstanding. Highly recommend.

Really nice TV. Set up was very easy. The picture is good, sound is good. The only odd thing is that the remote has to be aimed directly at the bottom center or it doesn't do anything.

TV is outstanding. Blacks are dark, no shadows, and color is magnificent. You just need to google this TV version and how to get Best picture and there are a couple of guides that tell you what to do. I think most people that dinged this are watching it through a 1080 HD cable or Satelite box. Sure it is not as sharp. When I watch 4k shows with Amazon, Netflix, HULU, Disney+ and other streaming services that have 4K the picture quality is superb. A lot better than the 4K Vizio we have in the Family room. I would have given it 5 stars, but the remote is not the best, and that is not TCL's fault, but rather ROKU.

Bright clear HD/4k picture. Tremendous value. Roku is simple and easy to use for all streaming needs.

I am really happy with this TV. This is the second TCL Smart Roku TV I have purchased and I have no complaints. I upgraded to the bigger screen last month and it's perfect for me. I wanted a bigger screen but something that fit a small apartment, the 43" is perfect. I love how easy it is to set up and navigate, I have Comcast/Xfinity and had no issues. The picture is perfect, the sound is great, and I love the easy access to Netflix, prime video, etc. I highly recommend this TV and I would absolutely buy a TCL TV again. This is an excellent TV for the price.

My daughter purchased this for her bedroom and its the perfect size. Very lightweight love the roku option.

Bought as a gift for my mom, She never had a smart TV before. The price and quaility were better than I could have hoped. Easy to use.

TCL 4K 43 inch Roku was the best idea ever for my wife and me for cutting the cord permanently . The apps are easy to use along with customization for anyone for their use. I have my ethernet cable plugged in directly to the tv. Simple instructions for setup the picture quality for this 4K 43 inch is incredible . The sound quality you can add as well to your liking like if you have a soundbar and subwoofer. You have plenty of options when you hook up this TV to your liking for streaming.

We have had these TV’s for almost a year and a half now, with great quality and picture. We have had both TV’s mounted on our walls since we bought them, but for some reason one of the TV’s screens went black but can still hear the audio. Unsure as to why this issue has happened, but overall satisfied. Hopefully this issue doesn’t occur for our other 43” and 65”.

Very nice picture.The price makes this a great buy.Using the remote to control the functions and move through the options is quite simple.

Easy to set up once I figured out the settings. Love that Roku is built in. Picture, sound and Roku plus great price makes this a winning TV
