Great TV for the price. I use it for my garage and tailgating. Uses anywhere from 40-80 watts so you can easily use a battery generator to run this tv for your tailgate party!

Defective after 12 months, TCL hardware/software

Like others, I got the black screen after ~12 months. Reading reddit this seems to be a common occurrence for TCL TVs between 12-18 months. Their manufacturer warranty conveniently ends at 12 months, and they don't honor anything a few weeks past that. They knowingly sell defective products and then say it's out of warranty. I'd stay away from all TCL TVs because their customer support did NOTHING to help me with this. They won't even tell me which components are defective, when they clearly know (based on hundreds of other users with the same issue).

The tv was supposed to come with a free 3 month subscription to YouTube but when you registered for it, it onlly gave you a month!!!!. Thanks for Lying to Me best buy
