4k TV on a budget done right
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent budget 4k with many bells and whistles of the more expensive sets out now. Dolby Vision was a main part of my purchase and it holds its own with normal HDR10. Input latency feels great especially with an Xbox Series X to pair it with. Not 100% if this tv actually allows 120hz at 1080p but it accepts the signal. Personally I'd stick with the 4k60 display modes as it looks and feels divine. Try to get on sale and you'll get more than worth your money. One thing that does bug me a touch is the viewing angles, watching straight on, its great. If you are to the side then the blacks lose some definition and it gets a bit washed out. If this is for a bedroom then go for it but if you're looking for a living room television you may want to look elsewhere. Overall excellent tv if you're looking for something to pair with a new game console or if you enjoy watching movies with decent colors. 4/5

Great TV & Super Value
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, it was my wife who asked me to upgrade our TV - go figure. She loves the built-in Roku and it's ability to access all of her favorite apps and programs (No more wiring-up the computer to the TV). For me - is connects directly into my Home Theater system, for that great surround sound. My wife also thinks it looks much better than the old, very old TV!

Great for the Money
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 5 series has so far been great. Picture, once adjusted, (go thru the menu) is pretty darn good. The latency, for me, has been pretty much non existent and I like the instant on feature. Looking at the 4K content in some cases, is impressive, especially at this price point. And lastly, if you like the Roku format, then you will be right at home with this Tv.

Great TV for the price
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a TCL 6- series that is a lot better than this TV in may ways particularly picture quality-wise, but it doesn’t come in a 50 inch size which is what I needed. The 5-series I picked up for $350 is an excellent tv for the price-point, although if you have the space, get the 55 inch or larger, 6-series—the difference is really noticeable!

Great picture quality
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve only had it a few weeks, but I have a TCL in my loving room that I absolutely love. It has great picture quality for the price point! It also has 120 Hz. I made the mistake of buying a TV that was only 60 Hz and the picture quality was awful. I returned it to Best Buy and replaced it with this one! Very happy with this purchase.

great tv
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our TV died. Just went black, sound was fine, no image. Usually I spend weeks researching and comparing prices. Not this time, logged in, put in a few parameters, including available for immediate (curbside) pickup and we had the new one up and running in no time ... very easy. Great picture, easy set up, no complaints.

Great TV Roku is easy to use
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading reviews, I bought the TCL series 5 without seeing it and picked it up curbside ar Best Buy. I love how easy it is to set up the apps. The picture is very clear. I also love that there is only one remote. the built in Roku has made it a great purchase. There have been no glitches. I highly recommend.

Great TV for the price point
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the specs that I wanted, 120 hz refresh rate, direct light, and LED, this TV is awesome. I use my TV mainly for streaming and the speed and quality are both terrific. I’m not a gadget/tech-y person so I feel like this was a great deal for someone who wants usable features and good quality!

Great value and picture and very feature rich.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I looked at a lot of different models and the TCL offered the best package including price, picture, and features. Plus when setting up they had great customer service. No huge hassle going through 15 menus to get a person and they answered on the first ring. Only downside is the remote is very minimal.

Great buy
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent TV for the price. You get what you pay for but with the TCL 5 series TV you get much more than you are paying for. Great TV for gaming, Roku operating system is one of the best out there and the refresh rate and hdr/color capability of the TV matches TVs worth 2-3x the price.

Great tv for price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this tv to replace my Visio which lost power. It has a very good picture and the built in Roku is a great feature. The only downside is that when viewing from the side the picture does not have the depth of color.

||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed to replace my Samsung TV and looked at many other TVs before choosing this one. The price was right! I mounted it on my bedroom wall and love it! Since it's a ROKU TV i can watch all my faves without cable! The picture is super clear and color is perfect! I'm happy!

Great picture
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After seeing other 4k TV's, my wife wanted one. We looked at several. All cost about the same and had most of the same features. We liked the picture of the TCL the most. It was easy to set up. We had one issue with it, but service talked me through resetting the software and that resolved our problem.

Great bang for your buck
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unless you are shopping around Thanksgiving for a bargain, this TV is great value for the price. Very basic Roku remote but easy to access and use Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney +, and all other streaming apps. Very easy to qualify and connect all your soundbars, gaming systems, etc as well. I have been using YouTube a lot and it is easier to use your phone as the controller with great connectivity. Picture is great quality and so is the sound. I would recommended a wired internet connection. Ours is wireless with the router in another room. If you turn the TV on and quickly select an app (YouTube mainly in this situation) an error will pop up on the screen to check internet connection. This is easy to do and doesn't take long but a frustrating additional step you can avoid.

Good quality tv
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The wife and I were looking for some not too expensive TVs for the bedrooms and this tv fit the bill nicely. Easy to set up and use. Picture quality is good. I had been wanting to try Roku and this tv had it built in. Setting that up wasnt hard either. Very happy with our purchase.

Good TV for the price.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv is very nice for the price. It has a metal edging around it that makes it look more expensive than it actually is. The Roku portion of the tv works way faster than another tv that I had that also had roku on it. The picture quality is also very good. I am very please with my purchase.

Huge upgrade that’s not too huge
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife and I are coming from a 32” 720p tv, so this has been a big upgrade for us. The picture quality is great, and I particularly love having HDR. We went with this model not just because of price, but also because we wanted a smaller tv for our small apartment. Very happy with our purchase.

Great picture quality for the price
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had the TV for a little over 2 weeks now and find excuses to go into the room it’s in just to watch it. I’m seriously impressed with TCL bringing great picture quality without the big brand name price while still being relatively reliable. The only gripes I have with it is the black uniformity on my set isn’t perfect and has some light spots near the edges, but not that noticeable to complain much. The dirty screen effect on this is noticeable depending on the scene though, it can be distracting but for the amount of contrast and depth of color I find the tradeoff worth it. However, the lack of 2560x1440p at 60Hz is an annoyance for me when using this as a computer monitor, as it was meant as a big screen for playing PC games and running 4K isn’t always viable. Overall I’m very pleased with my purchase and I’d recommend this TV to anyone who’s budget conscious but doesn’t want to sacrifice picture quality.

Great picture
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While the TCL has a great picture and decent sound, they need to do something about the teeny tiny remote! It’s easy to drop and easier to loose. It size feels like it’s made for a toy TV. I guess it’s because it’s a Roku remote but this is rediculous
