I was amazed at the picture quality. The colors are vibrant and the images look almost like 3d. I'm very happy with this TV.

Great value for the price! The TCL 50” has a sharp, bright picture with vibrant colors and smooth motion. Setup was simple and the built-in Google TV interface makes streaming super easy. Sound is decent, though I’d recommend pairing with a soundbar for the best experience. Perfect size for my living room — highly recommend!

good picture and sound, however it is locked to 60hz, no big deal. However, you must sign in to the google tv for them to harvest and sell your data, otherwise you will be assaulted with “finish setting up your tv” messages. also they lock up netflix and youtube behind the account sign in, so i tried just using the tv thru hdmi without setting up wifi but it becomes a truly unbearable user experience (popping up ads and sign in prompts mid game or movie) so i just gave in and let them install their adware. what a time to be alive

Was looking for a fairly good tv for the bedroom and stumbled on this , the price is great and the picture is so good in any light condition, which we have heavy sun in the bedroom around 2 pm and we could still see an excellent quality picture , for the price point hands down a great deal and the sound quality was better than expected

I got this as a secondary TV for my office and it has been great over the past month. I bought it open box excellent condition and it looks brand new and it arrived quickly. I use this with an Apple TV 4K so cannot attest to the internal OS. This replaced an old Samsung TV and the brightness is much better without looking washed out. I haven’t even calibrated it since it looked quite good out of the box. This review is for the TCL QMK5 50”.

When we first arrived a sales clerk ask if they could help, We told them we were looking for a new TV. They said they would be close by if we needed them. When we were ready to make our purchase, no sale clerk in site. We need a flat cart but could not find that either. We carried the TV to check out, paid for it and wasn't even asked if we needed any help getting it to our car. Customer service.need improvement

Excellent value for an excellent picture. I also own the QM7K and love it. This QM5K is perfect for the bedroom. Once you upgrade technology, there’s no looking back. If you want to make a jump at a reasonable price, this is it

Great picture, very bright. I wanted to find a 50inch mini led 4k with 120hz but that doesn’t exist in the 50inch size. This will do for a long while, watching content is perfect. The UI is easy to navigate. I mounted the tv to the wall, the bezels are pretty thin so be careful for fingerprints. Sound quality is downward firing but pretty good. If you’re putting it on a TV stand you or entertainment center it will be much louder.

Works fantastically, is very bright and sharp with loads of color

I bought this because my old tv finally blew some electronics inside and it was cheaper than repairing that tv. The image consistency on this one is terribly frustrating. Some things will look amazing, others will just be terribly washed out and bright. All the default brightness settings are 100%, and even at half that, it still looks weird. I've been fighting with the setting all week and can't seem to find something that works. The 'smart' portion is quite frustrating as well, but that's just personal preference. I watched the screen brighten and dim constantly, while a scene in a movie panned over the top of a pine forest. It struggled to adjust to the dark and green being layered like they were. The reason it still gets 3 stars despite looking so bad at times, is the sale price was excellent, and when it does look good, it looks amazing. Speakers are meh, but I don't think anyone expects them to be amazing.

Very pleased with this new TV. The images are almost too good given the older shows I watch and with new shows, just flat out excellent. The size is perfect for our condo living room -- big enough to easily see but not too big to overwhelm the space. My wife and I enjoy listening to the music stations from TCL when we are doing other things (like working on the computer). My wife is particularly happy it has native Bluetooth for me when I'm watching football. All-in-all, a great buy.

The sound quality and image is pretty good. Really easy to set up and customize.

This was bought for me so I can watch things other than YouTube videos repairing lawnmowers. My husband said this tv is better than he expected. He loves listening to music on it. That’s how good the sound is. He said the sound is as good as the one we have in our living room with a soundbar!! I am beyond happy with everything about it and especially getting it 50% off, amazing buy!!!!
