I really wanted to like this to. It’s huge! It’s the biggest tv my husband or I ever owned. The men who delivered it were professional and wonderful! The tv itself looks great however it is extremely slow. I turned it on today and it took 3 minutes to turn on. I thought it was broke. At first and was turning it on and off. Finally I waited and it took 3 minutes to turn on. It’s lags sometimes on apps. Maybe the wifi I don’t know. If you want something that’s big and looks good get this. It will be a little slow and the picture is ok for the price. I took stars off because of those reasons AND the price went down by $80 after Black Friday which is when I bought it...not the Best Buy as Best Buy claims. I ended up $280 for a tv worth $199. Not very impressed with these scammy tactics.

I bought this TV because it looks like a great deal. Full disclosure, I will be returning this TV after a couple of days. My review is comparing this ~$300 TV to an older top-of-the-line Samsung. Pros: - Picture is good - I really like Android TV (was easy to adjust to) - Over the Air tuner is pretty solid, picked up all but the toughest station on the first scan - Overall size of this 55" is smaller than my old 52" with the huge bezel - Light weight, low power consumption Cons: - LED screen did not look as good as my old LCD from extreme angles - Sound... I use a soundbar, so I'm not running video/audio through anything, just a straight optical cable to the soundbar... there is a clear delay between video and audio... I don't see any options for the TV to adjust delay... may not be an issue for anyone using a receiver. - It is not actually 120hz - watching CNBC with the scrolling stock ticker it seems clear there is some shadowing... it is a software tweak to perform similarly to a natvie 120Hz. As it turns out many of the TV saying "True Motion 120" or "Motionflow 240" are actually 60Hz hardware using various software tricks to perform similarly to a true 120Hz hardware. This TCL TV is a great deal, and I think if I was not replacing a very high-end 120Hz Samsung this would be a solid keeper. The not so shocking conclusion is that a ~$300 TV can't compete with a +$2,000 TV.

In less than a month after purchase, the TV screen started having issues. A blue line was visible across the screen. I've tried turning it on and off, and I even unplugged the TV, yet the blue line shows up.

Most unreliable piece of junk I’ve ever purchased. Disney plus rarely works (purchased for a kids loft), apps load then shows sit at 0% and won’t play through Netflix and more. I’ve had this tv for a year and a half and it belongs in the trash.

I am two weeks in to this tv. Loved it until for a full day now (12/2-12/3), the home screen with all the apps won’t load. Only Netflix and YouTube buttons work. May be taking it back.

Bought this tv on sale after my friend bought 2. Got it for $250 and I must say it was well worth the price. Even though it is only a 60HZ it has a great picture and has pre-set settings to adjust the image if you want to. I do have a few complaints though...the speakers aren't great and the remote is small and is a bit of a pain to use. Also not all of the apps work, like Disney+. Even after updating the app it is still not compatible with Android. Other than that it's a great value and I would buy another one.

This TV is a great TV for the price. The built-in Android TV and Chromecast are nice to have. While I feel that the Roku and Fire TV interfaces are slightly more intuitive, Android TV seems more powerful with more apps available. Chromecast is a huge bonus and why I chose this TV over a Roku model. I would rate the sound as slightly above average for a TV. I do not hear any humming or any other problems as reported in other reviews. The picture quality is good for the price and is great for everyday use. There is nothing major to complain about. The contrast could be better and there is sometimes a little light bleed, but it is more than good enough for the price.

Great TV. Went from a 22" screen to this 55" screen. What a difference! TV was easy to set up. Good picture and sound quality. Love that it is a smart TV and was a great value. Saw that it went on sale for $50.00 less two weeks after purchase, and store gave me a refund of the price difference when I brought in my receipt. The staff at the Marina, CA store are great!!

This is a solid TV. Good picture quality using HDR10 which has now become the basic norm for 4K whether it’d be streaming, 4K Blu-Ray or using external hardware like a PlayStation 4 Pro. The Android UI is simple, clean and easy to navigate (although the remote is something left to be desired) and this TV also has Chromecast built in which is a nice feature. The sound quality is above average and definitely useable, but most average consumers now should be investing into Audio Out devices anyways. The only down side to it is although the description lists this at 120 CMI. Don’t be fooled, this TV uses a native 60hz panel. This means there is only added adjustments to the refresh rate to “mimic” 120hz to the viewer but frankly you don’t see much difference. You’re still going to get that slight motion blur that you wouldn’t really have with a native 120hz panel. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, since it is to be expected this lower budget TV would run at 60, but this could be deceiving to some. The 3 HDMI ports, one being an ARC Port for those Audio Out devices, are also only 2.0 which is also totally acceptable at this price point. This is a really good cheaper 4K TV, and for $250 right now it’s honestly a steal. I’ve had it for a few days now and I’m really happy with it!

Awesome price, super easy set up, even for this mom/non-tech gal. Light and easy to move. Good screen quality. And best of all because the price was so great, I am a hero to my kids when they saw the size of the screen! We upgraded too so I could see better subtitles on those movies- win-win in this house!
