Excellent value for the price. While the picture cant compare with the latest LG OLED Tvs, the quality of this TV is very good,. Overall this is a great TV for a great price: 120Hz refresh rate, great Color, Sound, Brightness, and resolution. The Roku OS is also a great plus.

A FANTASTIC TV for the price! My only recommendation would be to get the Google TV version if you already have Google Home set up or are into the Google ecosystem already. If you already have roku's or really like the Roku layout, go with this one.

At $700, this TV was pretty much the best bang for buck. It handles HDR10 and Dolby Vision well via the internal streaming apps and a connected Apple TV. For gaming, it handles 4K / 60hz extremely well via a connected Xbox Series X. The Roku user interface is pretty simple and intuitive. Sound, unsurprisingly, is tinny and puny — you’re best off getting a separate sound bar or surround sound set up. Also, beware of some weird TV quirks sometimes, including the remote control going through new batteries almost every day until TCL support walked me through resetting and reconnecting the remote to the TV. Otherwise, after almost a year with the TV, I’m very happy.

This tv was purchased specifically for the Playstation 5 and Xbox series X. Big fan of gaming and when I saw that this will run 1440 at 120hz. Couldnt help myself from buying this tv once I saw the price. This was an upgrade from a 4k tv without hdr and its miles above what I had been running my ps4 pro through.

I’ve been very happy with this TV. It has a great picture and brightness. I like the design and thin bezels as well. The Roku interface works great. The only thing that could be better is the cheap remote.

Great picture as the colors were crisp, the dark items were black, etc... This was an absolute exceptional picture at any price point. The Roku was very easy to setup and use, plus there are several apps that have great free content (like roku channel). The motion control is great for sports, but disabled it for movies due to the soap opera effect.
Updated: Well I have to return the TV for kind of an odd issue. I had TV for 10 days and whenever I turned off the three motion settings. It would occasionally lock up when switching between TV and Roku. When it locked up it required me to unplug it. I tried multiple times and when all motion was on....no issues, but when disabled.....issue happened once per day. My son has same TV and never had an issue and absolutely loves it.

Purchased TCL 55" Series 6, less than a month ago. So far, all is great! Did do extensive research before the purchase. Consumer Report's recommendation for this model sealed the decision for me. Only initial issue, I had allowed the default pairing of the remote to the TV. Upon adding my streaming services, it was going painfully slow. I called Tech Support. To my surprise someone answered fairly quickly. He not only fixed my issue, there's a reset button where you install the battery, he walked me through the rest of the setup, and took my registration info! Wow! I was surprised.
The picture is great! Especially with 4K HDR content. As we have a Nakamichi soundbar, the audio blows us away. Even my wife is ok with the purchases!

Great TV for PS5. Doesn't support 4K at 120hz due not having HDMI 2.1 but honestly all the games downscale the resolution to 1080p at 120hz which this TV can do also it can do 4k 60 no problem. The brightness is amazing and the contrast is amazing due to the mini led tech. Fires are so bright on this TV it looks real. Only issue I've seen is motion objects can have some blur/trailing but its not super noticeable

The image quality is awesome. At first I was having some freezing issues and had to reboot the tv but updates have fix this issues. The blacks are deep and colors pop.
I have tvs that double the price of this tcl but this one is better. I couldn’t believe my eyes.
I have one issue with ps4 hdr games. Some of them are to dark and have to manually adjust the brightness of the game. This happens for example in god of war. I hope tcl fix this issue soon. Otherwise, this is a perfect tv.
With my xbox s i can play 120hz but at 1440p. It doest supper 4k 120hz but at this price point you can ask for more.
Keep the good work tcl

This tv offers an unbelievable amount of fantastic features, all at a great price point. However, there is a catch. On multiple occasions the tv would have very odd malfunctions and the only way to fix the issues is to unplug the tv and plug it back in. One issue that we had was that upon turning on the tv the volume was stuck at the maximum volume output, but raising or lowering the volume level (even down all the way) had no effect whatsoever. Another time while we were watching tv, we switched from one app to live tv and the screen went completely back but the sound continued normally. Neither of these issues were fixed by a simple turn off and turn back on. We did a factory reset after we had the first issue, and the second issue happened after this. After doing a little digging on the internet, we are not the only ones who had this issue and it does not seem to be uncommon. Out of fear that the tv would eventually be permanently stuck in one of these malfunctioning conditions we returned it and purchased a different tv. I would not recommend this tv unless you are okay with taking a gamble. If it were not for these odd malfunctions I would have been very pleased with this tv as it has essentially every feature one would want from an LED tv. One side note: although this tv supports a true 120 Hz refresh rate, I do not believe it supports HDMI 2.1 so it is not compatible with 120 Hz output from PS5 or the new XBOX, so you are limited on the refresh rate there. Very disappointed.

This was a great purchase. I had never used Roku before but after doing a lot of research decided to give this TCL TV a shot. It is better than we hoped it would be. Very simpleset up, great picture quality and really like the fact that we can operate everything with one simple remote. I had even purchased a sound bar to add but after hearing the sound through the TV decided I didn’t need it. I’m sure that would be a personal preference for others though but for myself the TV sound quality was fine. If you want a quality product that doesn’t cost you a small fortune then I would highly recommend this TV.

A "Good Buy" but Some Flaws and Limitations

This is an affordable television with good color but not with some of the features of more expensive models and brands. It is easy to assemble and to connect with the internet, cable and Roku. Two concerns. First, the remote control is a flawed design. It appears to communicate readily with the television only by holding the remote control vertically, and even then it is not always easy to use. Second, as far as I can find, there are no physical controls for on/off, volume, input on the television itself. Paired that with a the problems with the remote and it is particularly problematic.

The picture on this is great. We are very happy with it. We have a $3500 Sony that we bought from Best Buy last summer and the TCL is close to the picture of the Sony. The Sony is better, but the TCL is close.

For starters I am not a huge TV buff. This was my first 4K tv purchase and I was upgrading a 7 year old Samsung. I read a lot of reviews and this TV was listed as the number 1 tv in its class for value. The picture is great. It’s like night snd day from my old TV, and for the price I am very satisfied with my purchase. I have encountered a couple issues with the Roku program but restarting the tv fixed it right away. No dead pixels or any cosmetic issues out of the box, very easy to use. I haven’t tweaked any of the settings at all and I think it looks amazing as is. I’m sure if I dive into I can get even more out of the display. Primarily used for streaming and the PS4.

I had always liked TCL TVs as I had an 50 inch 1080p one for about three to four years. Since new generation consoles are coming out I was in the market for a TV that was affordable but could also handle gaming smoothly. While searching I found this TV announcement an immediately ordered mine. I’ve had mine for a few days now and I can happily say that it is amazing! I’ve been watching a lot of HDR and Dolby content and they all look amazing! The sound is even great when you have it on theater mode! I’ve done some gaming on my PS4 Slim which isn’t much but it still plays greatly. Yes it may not have 4k 120 but that isn’t a deal breaker for me since most games can barely handle 4k 60 and this TV has VRR and great motion. I am very happy with this purchase so far and can’t wait for the PS5 to come out!!
