About a month ago i purchased a 55 inch Amazon Fire TV and just opened it almost 2 weeks ago. I turned it on and it was exactly like the Fire stick and i love it! It is everything i hoped it would be. I highly recommend this for someone who does not have cable/direct tv. So many features!

Sound and visual problems

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The tv was great at first, but then i noticed when switching from app to app, sometimes it causes the screen to freeze and it will get stuck, even if you restart the TV. 2) Sound on apps goes out intermittently. You can be in the middle of watching something on Netflix, Hulu or YouTube, and sound will suddenly get extremely low or become nonexistent. Sometimes exiting the apps works, sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes restarting the TV works, sometimes it doesn’t. More often than not, it’s a waiting game for whenever it decides to start back working. It’s very aggravating especially when you are trying to relax and suddenly the TV has no sound, but the menu (clicks from scrolling, pressing buttons) sounds work fine throughout this. For now, we will be keeping this tv, but if the problem persists, we will be replacing it soon.

Exceeded Expecations

The only con I have so far is the viewing angle. You lose color sharpness when you are not starring straight at the screen. Even the slightest angle can degrade it, however for the price I cannot give it a lower rating.

Great buy!

It is an exceptional value and the picture is amazing. We would recommend it and have done so already to all of our friends and family. Saw the same item at Walmart but preferred buying it at Best Buy because we have had excellent care with any and all of our customer service issues.

Great picture for a great price

For a 4k display the price was incredible, even better considering it supports HDR. The built in roku features work great. The price is incredible for a TV of this size and picture quality. The built in speakers are fine for casual viewing habits, but I would invest in a sound solution if budget allows.
