Washed Out Video
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this last weekend to upgrade my aging 47" Samsung normal HD model. I read all the reviews, awaited the release of this product - very excited for all the positives and am super disappointed. The colors are completely washed out - I've spent hours playing with settings. A movie has either red faces with too much brightest or pale in that bad poorly lit dream sequence way. My old Samsung has blacks that are black and faces that are correct while this has blacks that look like you turned up the brightness too much. I'm wondering if it's a bad TV and I should replace it but it's a pain to lug all the way back and end up with another crappy one. I've tried UVerse via HDMI, my AppleTV via HDMI and my iPhone via HDMI. Some is better then other but still looks bad compared to the other old TV in the other room (I can see them at the same time from one perspective). I was going to say at least the audio is good but that's only from the Apple devices - Uverse's audio (where it counts) kinda sucks.

Posted .Sorry that you are not getting the same great picture performance that the vast majority of users and professional reviewers are getting. If This is indeed the TV you purchased, as you also posted this same review about last year‘s TV on another site, there are some things you can do to help. to see what the TV is capable of, I would recommend launching the Dolby access channel which is preselected on your homepage. That will show you the potential of the TV and rule out any issues with the TV versus your source content. From there you might want to look at some professional reviewers such as CNET, as they post their settings. We are also here to help. TV is cheap
