Pre Christmas price, was reviewed as good as or better than similar Samsung. After a month of use, I say I got a good deal, just swapped my Xfinity for a 4K STB and they talked to each other fine. Sound is OK - Speakers are on back and am going to get a Dolby/DTS soundbar so no issue. Overall they sound OK. I don't like the 5 second delay before it shows content but for < $325 out the Door, I'll live with it. Picture is excellent. Now I have to get a 4K Dolby/DTS DVD Player. I haven't noticed any "blooming", just watched a couple of Avengers shows (XFinity) shadows were good, color great, TCL has a winner.

TV is very clear and looks amazing. The only issue that I have had with this TCL Google TV and my other TCL QLED Google TV is that it disconnects and reconnects from the internet randomly. On my other TV, I ended up putting a Roku streaming stick on it and it has had no issues since that. I did read some other reviews and they suggested creating a guest Wi-Fi network and now that I have done that, it has been working better.

1st. Start wih excellent customer service at the Augusta, Maine location. Knowledgeable associates provided positive feedback about the TV. EASY set with no frustration. Great TV, could not ask for better colors, apps, and sound quality. Yes you buy from a big box store, but Best Buy wants to earn your trust not just the sale.

Upon purchasing my television, I initially felt it was a great buy—until I received the bill and noticed I had been charged for a 75-inch television when I actually purchased a 55-inch. I was overcharged for something I did not receive. Thankfully, I caught the error within the closing period and was able to provide proof that I did not order or purchase a 75-inch TV. Had I noticed it just five days later, I wouldn’t have been able to verify the mistake. I truly appreciate the supervisor who assisted me and helped resolve the issue. Despite that hiccup, I can honestly say I am enjoying the television. The picture is great—sharp and clear—and it fits perfectly in my space. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase.

I bought this TV for garage. It’s bright enough for garage with 4 big windows letting light in. Picture quality is great for a 4K Mini LED. I didn’t buy this TV for gaming. I would recommend QM6K or higher. I connect this TV to sound bar. If this TV was being used in bedroom, sound bar wouldn’t be needed. This TV doesn’t have Filmmaker mode, you need to get QM6K or higher. Movie mode doesn’t get as dark as Filmmaker mode.

The picture and sound of this set have exceeded my expectations. It replaced a 7 year old set that had been very good, but this one far surpasses it's performance on every performance measurement. The speed keys on the remote are a big plus, but the best key is the voice command going far beyond what I thought was possible. Ordering on line was easy and the Best Buy support on "pick up" day was fast, professional, and they even loaded it into my truck

The Google TV platform, chefs kiss. I like it better than a Firestick. I like the remote, it has soft buttons, has a backlight, and its big so it doesn’t get lost easily in the bed. The TV image is clear and has A LOT of settings you can adjust. The volume is surprisingly good but I’m the soundbar type so obviously a soundbar enhances it. Love this TV.

for the price this is one of the best tvs you can get. the colors look great and the blacks are great too. the backlit remote is a nice plus.

Very happy with this TV! I purchased this for my parents as a bedroom TV replace after their previous TV had some issues. My mother who normally doesn’t comment about TVs has said how much of an improvement their new TV is compared to their old one. Excellent picture quality and brightness!

This is the absolute best tv I have ever owned! Its definitely the brightest and including price it makes it all the better! If you at this price point i wouldnt consider any other tv! It want be beat and you will be happy you bought it!! Soo brightt and picture is awesome!!

Excellent picture quality. The screen is super bright so I had to dim it for my bedroom but the blacks are black and very easy to view in any lighting. Very quality picture in 4k; so many details that I didn’t know I was missing. Sounds fine without a sound bar and the UI is very easy to use.

QMK5 55 inch is an amazing tv at a great price!!! Best Buy had these on sale and it does not disappoint. Nice clear, bright picture with a smooth motion rate perfect for watching action movies or sports. The tv is light, then and easy to mount on the wall. Plus tv set up was very straightforward. I would recommend this tv to friends and family.

Specs-wise this is a great TV for the price. I love the picture quality. I like the remote with the light up buttons. The tradeoff is it's a bit laggy when navigating apps, and about 10% of the time when I turn it on the audio is totally silent and the only solution is to unplug it and plug it back in. The only thing I have plugged into it is a Nintendo Switch - no external speakers or Firestick or anything.

Positive Aspects: The picture quality is great with excellent contrast. Areas for Improvement: The viewing angle is limited, causing the color to wash out when viewed from certain angles. It requires a Google account to add an app, which might be inconvenient for some users.

I purchased this TCL TV as an affordable option, and while the picture quality is solid for the price, there are some usability issues that may matter depending on how you plan to use it. After some troubleshooting, we determined that the audio problem is related to the TV’s sleep/standby mode. Using the remote to turn the TV “off” does not fully power it down; it places the TV into sleep mode instead. When the TV wakes from sleep, the audio sometimes remains inactive, even though the picture comes back on. The only way to restore sound is to force a full restart, either by holding the physical power button for about five seconds or unplugging the TV and plugging it back in. It feels similar to resetting an old game console when it freezes. This led us to dig further and learn that this is a known issue discussed online. To reduce the problem, you have to go into the settings and disable the standby/sleep feature so the TV fully powers down instead of entering sleep mode. While this helps, it is not something most users should have to figure out on a new television. Another important consideration is for Spectrum TV subscribers. The Spectrum TV app is not available directly on this TV, which means you must either download individual channel apps (ABC, Fox News, HGTV, Lifetime, etc.) or cast from a phone or tablet. This setup may work for some users but can be inconvenient for those who want a simple, traditional turn-on-and-watch experience. Overall, the TV delivers good picture quality for the price, but the sleep-mode audio glitch and limited native cable app support make it less ideal for older adults or anyone looking for straightforward, hassle-free use.

The only place I can put my TV is next to the living room picture window that the sum comes through in the afternoon/ evenings. The sun would wash out my old TV. The brightness on this TV is perfect. There is still a glare, of course, but I can see the show I’m watching despite the glare. Darl scenes are no longer an issue. Great TV for the price.

This tv is replacing my older tcl 55” from about 4 years ago. I’m replacing that one because it was a floor model and just gave up one day. Now onto this one. This tcl qm5k is pretty new to the market from what I can gather. The image quality is night and day compared to my old tcl led tv. You can see the picture better from sharper angles now, I'm assuming that’s from the mini led screen. The sound quality is great and rarely do I go above 12. All in all for the price I paid ($329.99) it can’t be beat at all

We bought this tv about a month ago from the BB stoe in Bayshore, NY. Set up was easy, and we were amazed by the sharp, bright and contrast of this tv. skin tones were perfect the performance of this unit is way above its price. We are very happy with our purchase and would encourage anyone who wants great quality at a great price to buy this TCL model.
