Picture was great however tv too light and comes with no anchor or straps. My friends 2 year old grandchild bumped into it and the tv toppled right on top oh him… rhankfully he wasnt inhired but the tv is ruined after only having ot for 5 days
Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your experience. The TV is designed to safely sit on the feet provided. For setups that require additional anchoring, the TV features mounting holes on the back that can be used with a wall mount or something like earthquake straps. Any sort of additionally mounting hardware, brackets, or straps would need to be purchased separately.

while I've only had the TV a few weeks, It's overall not a bad TV for the price - this TV is better suited as a secondary TV (such as a for a bedroom etc.)
TCL sets generally offer a ton of value at their respective price points. Despite lack of quantum dots or local dimming it has reasonable black levels and vibrant color. Off-angle viewing isn't terrible but is notable at steeper angles off center. The build quality is reasonable, though the thin black plastic on the back is questionable.
You'd be best to pair this set with a soundbar or external multimedia speakers, the internal speakers are very lacking.

I have severely mixed feelings about this TV. I bought it to replace a 49” TCL 4k TV I’ve had for about 5 years.
The screen is very nice. The bezel is very thin so the screen barely has a border. Once you set the picture to your liking, movies, TV, and YouTube all look great. It’s not going to compete with sunlight, but the screen is bright. I turned my brightness to about 65% (but I mostly watch at night and/or in a darkened room).
Connected instantly with my Sony soundbar, and controls its volume with the tv remote. I HATE that when you adjust volume there no number or progress bar to show you how far you have it to min or max. It has a little pop up display that shows you are adjusting the volume, but not if it’s at 50% or 100%. Not a dealbreaker but I never thought I’d miss such a small feature.
The issue I have is that the google software is SLOW. My older TCL is a Roku TV which for the most part is much faster. Booting up it’s got a TCL logo, then an animated TCL logo and then a Google logo. Going from menu to menu and to apps there’s a mild delay.
It does not seem to have a very good antenna to catch WiFi. I pay for gigabit Verizon fios and I live in a small apartment. It took a couple of attempts to get the TV to even connect to WiFi, and then it updated its software and took like 20+ minutes. It then could barely connect to the apps to let me log in to my streaming services. The other OLDER TCL tv I moved to bedroom continues to have no issues with connection or streaming. After turning the TV off, restarting my network, and letting it sit for a bit, it established a better connection… sufficient enough to finish setup and get my apps going. But trying to stream in 4k on Disney+ or YouTube causes constant buffering. Again, no issues with any other device in my apartment (multiple computers, iPad, phone, PlayStation and other TV), only this TV.
Not impressed that my brand new, out of the box TV has issues the 5+ year old TV doesn’t have. Especially since it’s meant to replace the old tv as my primary entertainment device. What’s the point of having a 4K TV if the only thing you can watch is a spinning circle in the middle of the screen?
I don’t know if it’s possible, but a firmware update to add volume numbers would be a good start. But I haven’t found a solution to the WiFi issue online other than to check my network (duh), try unplugging the TV for a minute (can’t wait to have to do this on the regular), or factory reset the tv (fantastic, another entire night devoted to setting up everything again).

I needed a TV for a room I am turning into a home gym. I went with the TCL 55 in Google TV instead of a 65 mainly because a 55 in is easier to transport and hang. My husband is very handy and I never need to hire people for installing things like TVs. It was very lightweight and fit in the back of my Toyota Landcruiser just fine. I was able to get it upstairs by dragging it (in the box) since it was so light. We were able to hook it up to an old wall mount we had, and it installed easily. I programmed it and paired the remote. Since I have a Pixel and Google Fi service, it synced great across all my apps. The remote is great, and the TV is fast. I had seen some reviews saying it was slow and the remote was bad, but not in this case. The sound is excellent as well.

Great picture and decent sound, though i still use a soundbar cause it’s just better for most purposes. If you’re looking for simple remote and ease of use, Roku OS is still the best imo. I use an external Roku device instead of google’s os, which is what this tv comes with. I keep mine screen very simple. I have only the apps i use on the main page. Airplay is great if you want to play stuff from your iPhone to this tv, wirelessly(using Roku) It works almost every time. Very impressed with the over the air setup. It found my local channels with my external antenna. I’ve used all the tv OS’s and I greatly prefer Roku. I have 4 TCL tvs and like them all.
