This TV was a pleasant surprise. I wasn’t expecting much of a difference from my old 43’ Insignia TV but this tv is light years ahead of that tv. The colors are rich and the blacks are deep. It’s not an OLED tv but the average person that watches tv likely wont notice a difference. Start up is a little slower than I’m used to and the Google TV set up and OS is a little clunky to me (take that with a grain of salt as I primarily use an AppleTV on all of my tvs). I’ve noticed a huge difference when playing games due to the 144hz refresh rate. Gaming has been a blast. The only annoyance that I have is with game mode and not being able to set a permanent brightness level. I have to adjust the brightness in game mode every time but it isn’t a deal breaker. I definitely would get another one when it’s time to replace my livingroom tv!

Been using this for the last couple of weeks and this tv has been great. The colors are rich and vibrant, the sound is good by itself, I do have it connected to a sound bar, and it's nice the remote controls that too. It does take some to set up if you have a few of the apps to set up and re-log into or if you don't have a google account. I was weary about having a google tv interface, as I've only used Roku and the Fire tv and Fire stick. It has been surprisingly good and easy to navigate, not to mention very quick into switching to different apps and settings. I have another TCL tv that has been pretty good, but this has been a great upgrade. It has everything that I wanted and within my budget. Has enough HDMI ports and USB ports. It has up to 120hz on it and the smart interface recognizes when my game console is connected and makes those internal.changes to get the most out of the picture, sound, and quality. Overall I've been impressed with the tv, as well as the remote which is all backlit, not just a few buttons, but all the buttons, very nice feature. If your looking for a tv that wont break the bank and has all the features you need for a good gaming tv as well as a great movie watching experience, then this tv should do the trick.

I purchased a Sony Bravia 9 from the same Best Buy. It is also a mini q l e d. In terms of price, it is almost like comparing an apple to a grape.
However, for the money, the TLC is great. If it were my only TV I would be thrilled with it because the picture is very sharp, clear and the color is robust. It has all the features you would expect from a smart t v, and then some.
It was fairly simple to set up even for someone like me that's not very up to date with all the technology. I'm not sure what you would do if you didn't have a cellular phone unless you were just setting it up for digital channels, you can get over-the-air.
I have youtube t v, and I also set it up with a digital antenna. Amazing, the picture remains crystal clear regardless of which way i'm watching the live broadcasts.
I am still learning about all of its capabilities, but I am extremely pleased with my purchase and the information I was able to research on your website before I made the decision to purchace. Let's not forget about such a great price Best Buy offered also.

The TCL 55 inch TV is amazing. I purchased it on Black Friday, so it was on sale. It was a birthday gift for my son. His room was being renovated, so I let him use my 55 inch LG for his gaming. I was afraid once he played on the TCL he would hate it because of the quality of the LG. I had doubts because of the price and the unfamiliar name. But boy was I wrong. This TV surpassed my expectations by miles. Amazing color, sharpness, contrast, brightness and refresh rate. Now I want one for myself as well. Hands down the best TV I've ever purchased thus far.

Not that bad!
So far the picture quality is great! The sound isn't bad, it's what I expect from a TV.
The Imax feature for some movies is a really nice touch.
It's capable of using Nvidia Now, and some retro emulation.
The enhanced refresh rate is great
The cons:
Trying to fine tune the 'motion' settings is tricky the default one gets a lot of tearing .
Not being able to remove certain apps off of the home screen.
Imax is an automatic feature, and can not be set in the settings or as a default .
Adaptive brightness can be a bit messy in certain circumstances.
Overall? I can't gripe too much especially for the pirce I got this for.

We got this TV on a whim to fit into our apartment. We wanted to find something with good brightness, good quality, and an overall clean picture with no artifacts.
I was really surprised to see this discounted for $500 or so, considering how well made it is! It competes with my LG Oled C1, which is really saying something.
You'll need to do some adjustments to the display in order for it to look the best. After all is said and done it's an incredibly bright and vivid display, with solid color accuracy, a sharp image, and deep blacks. A nice bonus is the 120fps mode, super smooth for gameplay, and I'm surprised it isn't being advertised as much.
Overall, really impressed when I originally was hesitant. To my pleasant surprise nothing has shown itself to be a problem and it's met all my expectations, even for a TCL.

I purchased this TV to replace an old plasma that was not able to take advantage of the 4k gaming systems and streamers we now have. After some research this was the TV that seemed to fit our needs and has lived up to all expectations so far. No this is not the best TV I own but it is the best value. The picture is great, works well with the gaming systems, was easy to set up and the OS runs smoothly. For the sale price I don’t think you can do better.

How Did I Get This Much Quality For Low Low Price?

Far exceeded my expectations. My last TV upgrade came about 15 years ago so I guess you could say I was living in the stone age... of TV's. The only problem is that there are so many tools for fine tuning and adjusting that I'm always trying to tweak this just right. What amazes me most is the color. It's like a whole new world opened up when I turned this beast on. What an absolute delight. I had a little trouble with motion blurring watching live sports but some fine tuning took that away and now it's like I'm sitting right in the stadium or ball park. I hooked this up to a ROKU Ultra so I'm getting the full benefit of every advancement in TV technology. It'ss just simply awesome. I always thought about getting a soundbar for my former TV but that thought went out the window when I listened to this. Great volume and sound quality. Top notch. I do not use the Google TV operating system much because I use the Spectrum app on the ROKU for most of my viewing. If Google TV would get the Spectrum app, I could eliminate one more piece of equipment (but I do love the ROKU and probably would not part with it.) I considered the QM7K along with this QM6K before purchasing but after a month with this, I don't see how the QM7K could be any better. I don't think anyone could go wrong if you purchase this TV. Setup was easy and I managed to unbox and get it ready by myself. I think it weighs in around 25 pounds so not too heavy. The legs are easy to attach. The AC cord attaches easily and firmly. The HDMI outputs are labeled and easily accessed. I registered this with TCL and got an additional nine months warranty for doing that. The TV performs well and I do not see myself buying any additional extended warranty. It's a beauty. Years ago, TCL was looked down upon but them days are long gone and this TV seems to break barriers with quality and price. Yes, I recommend it and you won't go wrong! Thank you TCL and Best Buy! I did see the price dropped by $50 right after the Price Match window closed but I'm not too upset about it because I believe I already got the best deal out there.

This is a great TV if you want full array local dimming, as close to OLED you can get with regular LEDs, without shelling out $800+. Got it on sale at $549, plus I had a few gift cards so I essentially got this TV for $200 and for that price it’s unbeatable. I want to speak objectively as if I had paid full price though, so I will.
The picture quality is incredible for its price range (maybe TVs these days are just this good, it’s been 8 years since my last TV purchase). The Dolby vision looks great watching Andor on Disney+ and other shows/movies that use it. Dolby Atmos is also really good, the speakers on this thing can get LOUD and still sound great. I like that it’s google TV, the buttons on the controller are ones I use; Netflix, prime video, YouTube, Apple TV, Disney+ (and TCL TV which I guess is like free tv with ads). The remote is also backlit and has a sensor to turn on the backlight when you pick it up. Another plus is that the TV is pretty light for all that hardware it’s packing. I believe under 30lbs/14kgs so although it says 2 people needed to install I was able to do it on my own (29M, physically fit). Definitely recommend a mount for this one, the TV is flat enough to go great on a wall, I personally am using the Sanus elite advanced full motion mount I got here on Best Buy and it’s been great. There’s a lot of settings to go through, TCL has been pushing this weird AI art wallpapers that I hate. It made a scary looking “van goh” inspired piece and I shut it off immediately, can’t trust generative AI to know anything of course, no human is checking.
On to the budget limitations. I could not get Apple HomeKit to work at all. I spoke to Apple and they couldn’t get it to work either. It’s been frustrating to get TCL to work on it too, their business hours are EST and I’m PST so I got a slim window to call after work, or email. Emailing has not been an optimal way to get help, you can understand this though. Heck it’s expected, TCL isn’t Samsung or LG, the user base is growing but it isn’t there so the support will be minimal.
Overall, this is a great TV, especially if you catch it on sale. I foresee many years with it to come. Maybe in 5 years when the Geek Squad protection runs out, I’ll put it in the living room and get another one.

Hard to explain just how incredible this TV is without sounding like a shill. But honestly, for the price it's absolutely top shelf quality. Bought it for gaming/movies and the 144 hz refresh is perfect for what I play. That, and the black levels look nearly identical to an OLED display for a fraction of the price.
Cannot recommended this enough!

8/10 great tv, especially for gaming. the only thing I don’t like about it is that the interface can be laggy, but that’s with most smart tv’s nowadays. the screen is bright unlike what a lot of the reviews say. you just have to go through your settings.

The good- TV has great picture and value. Works well in a bright room. The bad- Google TV interface. Roku interface is much better, loads quicker and has your normal programming loaded up to access with one touch. Google has more touches required and does not perform as well for higher required speeds like when watching hockey. This is not the TV itself as we can hook our 4k Apple TV to it and obtain much smoother high speed performance. (perfect actually) The Apple TV interface is slightly better also.

Great hybrid tv for those who game and use it for the variety of tv apps. The google OS is superior to the fire or roku OS in my opinion.
I’m a gamer and this is the first tv I have owned that is able to go above 60fps and this exceeds even 120fps when not using UHD content. While this means nothing to movie/tv only viewers for those of us who game (especially fps gamers) this is huge.
As far as picture quality the biggest benefactor for me is the local dimming mimicking the much more expensive OLEDs at a fraction of the cost. However other graphical improvements will likely only be noticed by TV buffs who know what to look for and which settings to change.
The only complaint I have, which is relatively mild, and only really an issue if taking advantage of the higher frame rates is that when I set the tv to 120+fps if I turn my pc on before the tv the DPI gets all whacky requiring a pc restart to fix. Simple solution though of just ensuring your pc is started after turning your tv on.
