This TV is fantastic. Exactly what I wanted. Easy to set-up, easy to program. Very happy with the features and functionality. The picture definition is great! Sound is just okay, so I added a simple soundbar to bring the audio up to snuff (mute the TV, play audio through the soundbar). Unfortunately, the big limitation is that any wireless speakers require the ROKU speakers first. And the drawback of the wireless ROKU speakers, is that you still need to plug in for power. So my attempt at having a 'wall-painting/no-wires' look for the TV is limited by the thin optical cable connecting my optical output to the soundbar (unless I wanted to mount the soundbar right up next to the TV, which I think would distract from the clean look of the TV itself. I guess I could have paid for a higher-end sleeker soundbar... Alternatively, I would have to punch holes in the walls to hard-wire the speakers, or else put the speakers in various locations in the room which isn't optimal for my setup). There are multiple HDMI ports, which allowed me to set up a wireless HDMI, as well as additional cables for gaming platforms, and still keep the wireless HDMI transmitter and extra cables tucked behind the TV so they are out of sight. Overall, happy with my purchase. I thought a 65" screen would seem bigger, but I guess I have a big wall.

This panel worked well for about a year. 14 months into owning the set it started to exhibit a strange issue. When the panel is turned on it would no turn the backlight on. If you get close to the panel you could make out the image and you could hear the sounds of the menu navigation, however the panel would not be lit up. After resetting the panel I am able to resolve the issue but only for another day or so and it starts happening again. I have tried several troubleshooting steps and even tried working with TCL. After gathering information about my situation and acknowledging that I was a mere 2 months past my warranty they informed me I am out of luck. I am not stuck with a panel that sometimes works. Incredibly displeased. I cannot recommend TCL and would advise that you save yourself the stress and find another company that will go the extra mile when the have a known issue. I understand that any company can bad units ship. I understand that there are probably many TCL units out there now that have years and years of flawless service. However, my specific experience with them and their inability to acknowledge a manufacturing defect that can be seen with a quick google search, has led me to never purchase from them again. I hope this review saves at least one other person from my situation.

This TV picture is outstanding the clarity is crisp color perfect. It is like you are on set while movie is being filmed. Watching football is beyond our expectation. We are extremely happy with our purchase. We replaced a Vizio which we thought had a great picture, it is sad in comparison. This TCL is a superior to anything in its class.

Awesome TV for the price! Couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Put it in our master bedroom, the picture is amazing, no DSE, couldn’t be more impressed. If your on the fence, go ahead and get it, you won’t be disappointed!!!

This is the 3rd TCL TV we are using in our household. Easy to set up and use Roku. There are better screens available, but at 2-3 times the cost. Ridiculously good TV for the price.

bought 12/13. Opened and set up 12/20. Returned 12/24. After much research over the whole "banding" or "dirty screen effect" I decided to purchase this well reviewed 6 series set for an incredible $500 and hope for the best. I immediately saw a problem. Dark random spots that appeared and disappeared over the 3 days I tested it. Sometimes dark strips top to bottom. Sometimes just round spots. Possibly failing backlight leds (a friend told me). The return was incredibly easy, by the way. No one at the local BB asked me the reason for return OR if there was issues. They simply scanned the box, printed return receipt and I was out. Didn't even asked my name or ID or anything. That just makes me wonder what the heck they do with these? Do they test afterwards or simply sell as open box? And this is why I would NEVER buy an open box from ANYWHERE. This was the second 65 inch set (the first was a Hisense) that I returned in the past 3 weeks. I'm done buying budget big screen for awhile.

This is my 1st 4K tv. The picture quality is good and I like the Roku platform. The few examples of 4K content that I’ve viewed looks good.

This is my second TCL 65 inch LED 65R615 That I have purchased and the first one is still running strong and I bought the second one without any hesitation to do a home theater in another part of the house and with the special pricing that you get at in store for 499 and you add the 15% coupon to it I’ve got this out the door under 460 dollars... Don’t walk to get this I suggest you run before they run out of them because they are last year’s model and let me tell you do not hesitate in buying this...

After looking at several TVs in store, we chose this one because it had the best specs for the price...unfortunately, when Best Buy delivered it to our home, it was cracked! Never even got a chance to use it and couldn’t get the same one as it sold out...otherwise, the TV looked great In store
