So far i have only owned this TCL for a month but thusfar it has impressed across the board. I also own an OLED and a very high end projector and while the TCL isnt on their level of picture quality, it is not far behind! SD, HD and 4K content is all handled very well with rich color and deep black levels. The Roku functions add simplicity and ease of use. Add in the price point and this is a TV i can recommend to anyone!

A Lot of TV for the Money!

I've had this TV for a few months. Although I was a bit skeptical of the TCL brand, I purchased this set to place a 2 year old Vizio that was damaged in an accident (darn those Wii controllers!). I am pretty happy with this TV. First of all, this is a lot of TV for the money. I decided to buy it after it was awarded the "most TV for your money" on a couple different review sites. It is important to manage your expectations a bit, though. Roku makes the initial set up of the TV really simple and right out of the box, the picture looked close to excellent. I tested the TV with the 4K Blu Ray of Blade Runner 2049 and the picture really only needed a bit of tweaking. The interface on this TV makes adjustments easy. It's also worth noting that you can make and save adjustments for each input. I am pretty impressed with the blacks as well. Very deep. I haven't done a real calibration yet because I am pretty happy with the picture. It's possible things have not yet been tweaked to their best settings, though. I do notice some funky motion artifacts from time to time but nothing overly distracting. The built-in audio is surprisingly good as well. I almost always watch/listen through my receiver but the TV speakers are acceptable. One negative I'd mention are the legs that come with this set. They're just odd and don't seem like they're going to support the panel in the most secure way to keep it from tipping. So far, so good though. I'd recommend this TV. For the price, I think it's one of the best you can get.

    Old Guy New Tech

I'm 44 but feel like 100 after researching and eventually coming to grips with how much has changed since my plasma (which still works perfectly!) This TCL Roku TV was constantly being ranked high and even mentioned in reviews of a completely different brand TV model. Even so, I went in with moderate expectations since most tech today is crap. Mostly I just wanted to upgrade the size going from 50" to 65". QLED vs LED vs OLED vs whatever letters you want to string together will be a huge improvement from my plasma. At this point, I don't think TV tech can get much better... at least not to the human eye can detect. For the price and the overall positive reviews from several different sources, it seems the overall value is very good. Keep in mind my plasma was $3K. Pricing is dirt cheap now compared to what we were paying for new tech. Of course, cheap prices means cheap quality? We'll see. Now, the old days of "PLUG and PLAY" are long gone (not sure when that stopped since it's been 15 years I've shopped for a TV). Oh the SETTINGS!! I can't over emphasize how much this matters. I can guarantee the default settings will not be satisfactory. I immediately thought my old plasma was a better picture! Imagine that. After doing even more research on the settings, I finally got my groove back and loving the picture! I have different settings for Netflix, Antenna TV, DVD player, YouTube, Sports, Movies, etc. The stand of course is a common issue and I knew this going in. I bought a different stand from another retailer to better fit my entertainment center. I love the ROKU interface and I was already familiar with it so there was no transition there. Now, the next reality I had to face (not knowingly) is that my Yamaha surround system cannot connect to this new TV or any new TV for that matter. HDMI ARC is the new tech (or maybe old to others). My receiver is so old it doesn't even have HDMI. After days of research and failed attempts at buying converters, I will need to buy a whole new surround system. UGH! I'm going to wait on that purchase as I actually like the sound from the TV. No it's not amazing surround sound, but good enough for now. Something to keep in mind, your picture quality is 100% dependent on the source. The true 4K videos on YouTube are amazing. But then watching a show broadcast is 720p/1080p is just ok (of course, this is where the settings come into play to help improve the picture) I don't have a Blu-ray so I'm sure that would be amazing too. Now, I went over to my neighbors house and he has a standard Samsung 4K TV from a few years back. I will say that my QLED definitely looked brighter and more crisp. I didn't think I would notice but I did. That made me feel good. lol Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. I did however do something I don't normally do. I bought the 5 year warranty. I have trust issues with all this new tech that doesn't last a year (based on my own experience).

Excellent Television In The Mid Range Category

So after extensive research including multiple websites read and video reviews watched. We decided to purchase this television because it seemed to be the best mid range TV on the market. Certainly Oled are probably the top of the market and that was out of our price range. So far after nearly 2 months I am in love with this TV. The picture quality is top notch from what I can tell. I'll admit I am probably not the best at being able to judge colors and black levels though. The Qled technology though to me really shows off impressive color. The built in Roku is nice I was more of an Amazon firestick user, but I've gotten use to it. I still have my firestick hooked up as well for things I can't get on Roku. I also set the TV to boot directly into the input that the firestick is on everytime I turn it on as well. Video gaming seems to work really well as well. I have noticed some occasional what I believe to be motion blur during some movies and shows though. All in all this is a great TV so far. TCL seems to be a great brand and I think we are going to be looking into a smaller TV upgrade in the bedroom and now TCL is what I will be looking at for sure!

I looked at reviews for a month before black friday . I looked at mid priced yvs to high end ones . And from what i saw the tcl series 6 was as good or better than tvs that were 500 to 700 dollars more . The guys from the geek squad helped unbox it and set it on the stand for me when they didnt have to . Well after 5 mins of watching game of thrones i am totally blown away with the picture quality . Its like im watching a brand new show and ive seen this series at least 6 times from start to finish . Huge shout out to cnet for their review cause they were spot on

I've had this TV up and running for about a month now and I have been quite pleased with it's performance. Picture quality is excellent, it was easy to set up and works pretty good right out of the box. I plan on doing some minor tweaks to the picture but so far really like this TV. First time using ROKU and it is pretty simple to use. I also use a Amazon 4K Fire Stick and a Blue Ray player and both were pretty much plug and play. Not crazy about how the feet are at the ends but I mounted it on the wall so no big deal to me. Bought this based on the reviews I read and a pretty decent price on Black Friday sales was also a motivator. It hasn't disappointed. Only time will tell how it holds up. Right now I would recommend this TV to others. Best ban for the buck in this class of QLED tv's!

An excellent combination of price, quality, performance, and the Roku interface is so much better than your typical smart TV interface from other brands. 4K/HDR is amazing... I don't think anything besides stepping up to an OLED would be of any significant upgrade.

For the price range this tv cannot be beat. Motion is not great on this set, but you have to jump up considerably in price to get better. The colors, clarity and contrast are outstanding. Blacks are black. Highlights knock your socks off in HDR. Hard to go wrong with this one.

I got an amazing deal on this TV, about $300 off for taking a floor model without any accessories ($500 out the door). I had a 50" TCL 4 series that was a couple years old. This 6 series is noticeably better in terms of black levels. For sure this is the best TV I've ever owned and I've owned a lot. It is loaded with all the latest features, e-arc, HDR, Dolby Vision. I have always like TCL and the Roku smart TV. I think it beats Samsung Smart TV hands-down. But I use a Shield for that and must say, everything integrates really nicely. I use the Shield remote on everything. The 65" is perfect for my room, I sit about 10 feet away. It seems huge. Great TV!

This is actually my second TCL TV. I bought a 55 inch 6 series in 2018 for my game room and loved it so when I was looking to upgrade my front room tv this was top on my list. The build quality has improved over the previous year. The screen didn't have any "dirty screen" that the previous model had which shows their standards continue to increase. Sadly, my model has a stuck pixel which I am trying to correct. (Just using youtube videos that go through the color spectrum to try and trick the pixel to work again) Not really blaming TCL on this one as it happens with these TVs. Heck, my 4000 dollar 3d tv had the same issue which normally fixes itself. So how good does it look? Well if you watch TV on Hulu their content is streamed well. Amazon Prime and Netflix both broadcast select content in HDR and Dolby Vision and it looks amazing. (Just be sure on your Netflix you are paying the 3 dollars extra to view HDR content) Games play amazing with low input lag and vivid color. (My 55 6 series is also hooked up to my PC which works great) Youtube is also great and don't forget to watch some of the 4k Demo videos to see what your TV can really do. As for Disney plus..... sigh. Let's just say I'm extremely disappointed with how Disney misleads their customers. They market a majority of their content as HDR/ Dolby Vision which is a lie. They will broadcast on that signal which triggers your tv into switching over, but it isn't really HDR/DV. Case in point is Avengers Age Of Ultron. The picture looked horrible and I tried adjusting my picture like crazy trying to correct it. Blacks were totally crushed and the picture had a lot of grain no matter what I did. (Unless I turned the sharpness down) Now jump over to Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and the picture is amazing! Blacks were not crushed because of the contrast and you could see details in their darker outfits. (Meaning this is a real HDR movie) Some new content is also disappointing such as Mandalorian. It gets better as the series continues, but some of the first episodes don't go beyond 200-300 nints. Star Wars is also misleading as you can see reviews of that on youtube. In the end just remember your TV can't look amazing if the signal isn't giving it what it needs.

This is my second TCL 6 Series TV. I originally purchased a 2019 55" model and after using it in my den for about a year, I decided to use the 55" upstairs and replace it with the 2020 65" model. Both TVs are great and compare very favorably to my 2018 Sony X900F. I game a lot (PS4 Pro) and I actually prefer the TCL to my Sony for gaming. I also understand the TCL has very low input lag in Game Mode, so if you're a gamer, that is recommended. The Sony is a true 120 hz display, but since the PS4 Pro doesn't really do more than 60 fps anyway, no big deal. Just understand that the panel of the TCL is 60hz, no matter what kind of motion terminology used. Next gen consoles will probably do 4k/60fps, so if you're a console gamer, this TV should be great even for the next gen consoles. Having said that, the Sony definitely handles fast motion in some content better, both because of the higher refresh rate panel and because of Sony's excellent motion processing. That's what you get for spending extra money. So if you're running a PC into a TV to use for games and you can push above 60 fps in 4k, spend the extra money on something that can properly refresh fast enough to display that kind of motion. But if you're just watching movies/TV/and playing console video games, you'd be hard pressed to beat the TCL 6 Series for the money. I bounce back and forth between my Sony and my TCL regularly, using the same streaming services (Hulu, Netflix, Prime Video, Google Play movies) and there genuinely isn't much discernible difference in picture quality or performance in casual viewing. The 2020 TCL 6 Series actually has better HDR performance than the Sony, but it is the newer set, so that's to be expected. All in all, great TV for a low price. TCL really knows what they're doing with TVs lately. They've grown into the space where Vizio once was and they've made enough great TVs in the last 5 years that I trust their product over Hisense, who has also figured out how to make great displays for not a lot of money, but have only put out 2-3 great TVs, so far. Also, if you're someone who is weighing buying a 65" TCL or a 43-55" big name TV (priced similarly) and you aren't a complete spec-sheet nerd, just get the TCL. As they say in the automotive world, there's no replacement for displacement.

It's amazing the quality that TCL has packed into this tv. Dolby vision and hdr are fantastic. Playing games was incredible considering the price for the tv. I upgraded from a TCL 4 series 2018 model, which I was happy with, but I wanted a bigger tv, so I bought this and the 6 series is on a whole other level. The only thing that was noticible was the motion. If im watching something fast paced and not in dolby vision or hdr quality you could notice the motion. But for the price it's incredible!

This 65" class 4K HDR UHD screen from TCL has unbelievable value for the price. Got it with a discount at $675 and I am so happy with my purchase! The only other competitor at this price point from the 2019 generation of UHD TVs would be the Vizio M658-G1. In the end I chose the TCL because the reviews of the picture quality were pretty much equal to the Vizio, and the Roku TV built-in sounded like a better operating system versus Vizio's own SmartCast OS since I expected streaming apps would have better availability. And in the end I was right. Using the Roku TV OS is very intuitive and it's easy to find apps. I also love the microphone on the remote to search for shows - Roku looks through all the streaming apps, even ones I don't have installed for matching content. I also use an antenna for over-the-air stations - the TCL's digital tuner even gives a better signal quality than our old TV's tuner. Plus they included the ability to pause live OTA broadcast with a USB drive (not included). Instant replays can be really useful. All of the apps on Roku TV work smoothly and quickly, and of course that includes Disney+, Netflix, Amazon video, YouTube, Roku's LiveTV channgels, etc. The size of TV is definitely large, but after a few days I got used to it and am completely satisfied. You definitely should tweak the video settings to your taste. I think this TV competes with TVs that are 3 to 4 times the cost. There is only a slight vignetting at the corners, and in off-angle viewing I do notice a slight 'dirty screen' affect with non-uniform solid colors. It isn't noticeable in normal TV and movie watching though. Also, the sound is average with some preset options that is good enough for my family - a soundbar would help. Overall, for this price point and even for prices 2-3 times more, I would definitely recommend this to my friends. Or look for the TCL 6-series model coming out in 2020.

There isn't anything I don't really enjoy about this TV. It has improved my OTA reception, is has shown me the brilliance of 4K and HDR. This is my first HDR/4K TV as well as an upgrade from a 50" Samsung to this 65" TCL. I love the fact that it is a ROKU set. I was about to upgrade my ROKU and realized I could kill two birds with one stone with this purchase. I have not regretted my decision at all!!

This is a great display for the price. Feature rich with HDR10, Dolby Vision and Atmos. The built in Roku is hands down the easiest and best interface for most users as well. Had issues with the auto-detect of the HDMI version when using with a Xbox One, however, just set to 2.0 and had excellent results.

I’ve been using a Samsung 55” RU7200 4K TV for a year now and saw this one open box at my local Best Buy. Because of the amazing price, I jumped on my phone, did some very quick research and decided to grab it to be my main TV simply cause of its size. I got it home, installed it, adjusted some settings and was immediately blown away by the stunning picture! Dolby Vision looks amazing on this as well as HDR. It blows away my Samsung hands down. The TV is bright and, I’ve discovered, has many higher end features that rival much more expensive TVs. I will warn that if your a”more advanced TV enthusiast” that likes to tinker to get the best picture quality, you’ll have to download the Roku app to your phone and set it up with this TV to access the advanced settings. Wasn’t an issue but inconvenient. Speaking of Roku, it’s the main interface for this TV. Before this, I’ve never used it but I can say it is very quick to learn and easy to use. The build quality is superb. Looks very classy wall mounted my living room. Warning: if you’re not going to wall mount it, make sure you have a very wide TV stand to put it on cause the feet are all the way at the ends and it’s a 65” TV. It has 4 HDMI connections, plenty for my TiVo, Apple TV, 4K BluRay, and PS4. All of which look amazing on it. The last thing I will say is that for regular cable TV, it does an awesome job of displaying 1080p. The picture does not look the same as Dolby Vision 4K content but it looks good. If Your looking for a TV with “high end” features but don’t want to pay the exorbitant prices that Samsung, LG, or Sony are asking for, you won’t be disappointed by this TV!

Picture is very sharp, colors are vibrants, sound is quite good and Roku controls are very simple and easy to use. Have not observed any lag on sports type for fast action scenes. Very easy to setup, took about 30 minutes to hang it on the wall (with existing mount), connect wirings and setup the TV programming, Well worth the $600 paid for a QLED quality TV.

I researched TV's before buying the 65 inch TCL 6 series tv and it really lives up to the great expert reviews. The picture is amazing ( FYI - the IPQ calibration app works great). The Roku OS works as advertised and is simple to operate. Mounting the tv on the wall was a breeze. I would recommend this tv to everyone. Exceptional value for the money.
