This TV is amazing. The picture quality and performance are as good as everyone (just check YouTube or any online review) says. The price is ridiculous for what you get. The Roku interface is the best smartTV UI available as well. This tv is the definition of “bang for your buck.”

I've been holding out for a while to get a larger TV and have heard a lot about the TCL 6 series. So I took a leap of faith and definitely not disappointed. The black contrast to the screen is so unbelievably good. I am amazed and very happy with this purchase. I managed to set this TV up myself but it is definitely a 2 person job. Hop on it, you won't be disappointed.

Excellent TV. Got the TCL 75” Roku Smart 4K. Unbelievable picture. So realistic, seems like everything comes off the screen. Mounted above my fireplace. Watching movies feels like in a theater.

For the most part I really like this TV (the 3rd TLC I own) but there have been some issues. Apps (like YouTube) will sometimes not load (I get a message saying I may need to delete some other apps but doing so doesn't help) and I've had some weird things happen with sound output. But the worst thing is a permanent dark line that now appears about 6 inches from the bottom of the screen and stretches horizontally across the entire screen. It's a very thin line and it doesn't appear on lighter backgrounds (which is counter-intuitive) but is very noticeable on darker backgrounds, especially those with reddish hues. Customer support was no help and it's already out of warranty. Very disappointing for a $1,400+ TV I've had less than 18 months!

The screen went completely blank the morning before the Super Bowl after only 7 months, only service/replacement options available without paying extra through Best Buy was dealing with TCL who said it would be 7-10 days for a TCL service tech to schedule a repair.

Purchased Aug 2019, and still going strong! Always kept movie/standard settings for watching 4K blurays/Netflix, etc. Have it pluged in behind an APC batter backup surge protector. Roku updates without any issues. Works with my Nvidia Shield Pro for my Plex Server streaming. Only issue is that Netflix has become a bloated app and since its a cheap TCL, it has an occational lag when trying to browse. But other streaming apps are fine. Next time I would definitely wait to purchase a new TV till summer/fall season when these newer models that came out in early spring get discounted.

SHORT VERSION OF MY REVIEW: This TV performs very well for movies, streaming and video games. Before this 75" version was announced, I had been considering the Vizio P Series. Even though I've used Chrome Cast since it's release, I now prefer Roku thanks to the 65" I've owned for the last 9 month. Since the TVs are very similar, this was one of the deciding factors in choosing the TCL over the Vizio. FOR A MORE IN DEPTH REVIEW OF THIS TV, CONTINUE READING BELOW. I won't go into specs or anything technical, you can check out the spec sheet or rtings.com website for that. I'll just write my personal experience. I've owned the 65" version of this TV since last May (9 months). If you are familiar with that TV, then (from what I can tell) this one isn't much different; just bigger! It does have more dimming zones (160) but that's to be expected since it's bigger. I've had this TV for about a week now. During this past week, I've watched everything from regular Blu-rays, Ultra HD Blu-rays, to Netflix and YouTube and played video games on it. I don't watch sports or have cable so I won't be able to comment on how those looks. I have not performed any Dirty Screen Effect, Grey Uniformity, or any other test designed to show any and every defect. In my opinion, sometimes ignorance is bliss. I say that because reading on TV and Home Theater forums, it seems that people didn't notice any negative effects until they went looking for them. If you can't notice anything wrong during your normal viewing, why look for something that you won't be able to un-see. For the record, on my 65", I did eventually do some of the tests and all I noticed was slight vignetting (less than on my Samsung from 2-3 years ago). MOVIES: During the week, we decided to re-watch the three Hotel Transylvania cartoons; the first two which are on regular Blu-ray. The up-scaling worked great. I was pleasantly surprised as to how good the cartoons still looked on a bigger screen considering our viewing distance hadn't change. The third Hotel Transylvania cartoon is on Ultra HD Blu-ray. As cheesey as it may be to say this, the cartoon looked down right amazing! During the party scene at the end of the cartoon, the colors looked great. The neon colors from the glow stick necklaces the characters wore had a very beautiful brightness and the colors were sharp. There is even one scene were the neons are shown with mostly a black background and it still look great. No light bleed or light blooming was noticed. We also watched The Wall (Matt Damon) movie on Ultra HD Blur-ray since I knew it had some scenes with bright colors. The movie, while not always full of bright colorful images (like Hotel Transylvania 3) looked great. The different colored uniforms on the soldiers lit up beautifully. YOUTUBE: The channel 4K HDR (I'm not affiliated with them in any way) has a lot of beautiful videos that really show case this TV's qualities. I know that YouTube compresses the videos but some of these are still mind blowingly amazing. As with the 65" version of this TV, I've caught myself watching 4K HDR video after video. NETFLIX: We have yet to get around to watch a large variety of movies or shows on Netflix but what we've seen has looked great. We watched a couple episodes of The Punisher season 2, which is in Dolby Vision, and quickly felt immersed. While Dolby Vision does appear dimmer, if you play around with the settings, you should be able to find a setting that suits you. We also watched a couple comedy skits/shows. They were in 4K but I'm not sure if they were in Dolby Vision as well. Regardless, the image looked great! VIDEO GAMES: In the settings, it says game mode can lower the image quality but even switching back and forth, I was not able to see the difference. I am however able to notice the increase in lag. While in game mode, the lag input (around 19 ms) is not noticeable. However, if you take it off game mode it jumps to well over 100 ms and is very noticeable. It actually causes some motion sickness for me. We have a PS4 Pro and a Nintendo Switch connected to the TV. I've mostly played PS4 games since getting this TV but I did play a little Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze on it. One, of many things I love about Nintendo games is that they are usually bright and colorful. Even though the game is "only" 1080p, DKC:TF looks great on this TV just like it looked great on the 65". On the PS4 (Pro) I've played Red Dead Redemption 2, Battlefront II, Black Ops IIII, Killing Floor 2, and of course Horizon Zero Dawn. RDR2 has horrible HDR implementation (thanks to the developers) so it's best to turn HDR off. Without it, the game looks good and even the night scenes can amaze you. Battlefront II is a game that received a lot of flack due to micro-transactions and eventually what felt like the game being abandoned by the devs. However, none of this takes away from the beauty of the game. On this TV, and I'm sure any other good TV, the characters look great and allows you to see how great this TV performs. Black Ops IIII was gifted to me so I don't play it that much, just zombie mode. I'm not sure of the exact resolution but the game looks good. Killing Floor 2 is one of my favorite "time wasters" game. There's not much to it. You just shoot zombies (called Zeds in this game) and try to stay alive until the boss round. The game was updated after release for the PS4 Pro and while it doesn't have mind blowing graphics, it looks good. Horizon Zero Dawn is not only a very beautiful and colorful game, but really fun as well. IMO, this is one of the best games to play to see how well this TV performs. I don't yet own Spider-Man nor the newest God Of War otherwise I'm sure those games would be up there along with HZD as far as games to show off this TV's qualities.

I needed a large television for my living room and also needed a new set that supported HDR as well as Dolby Vision with relatively low input lag from my Xbox and PlayStation. Unlike some budget televisions, this set can actually properly display HDR due to its high peak brightness levels. Local dimming leaves a little to be desired, but it is there and performs well enough; There's some clouding around white objects on black, but this shouldn't be something you notice too much during movies. While shopping for this set, I was contemplating the P series from Vizio as well as the newer model 6 series from TCL. However, the 2019 model 6 series didn't come in 75".

My primary TV is the LG Oled C6 and I love it, I don't think I'll ever replace it until it dies. However I wanted to spoil myself with a larger screen for my basement family room and have been watching this one until it went on sale. I currently have the TCL 55 6 Series & the TCL 65 6 Series so I was prepared for great image quality, black level and HDR/Dolby Vision performance from this 75 model. I can report it's the best of the bunch! I have ever so slight banding and dark corners with the 55 & 65 inch models but this 75 inch model is perfect in every way. The HDR CHannel has a really nice video on YouTube called "Real 4K HDR 60fps: LG OLED Perfect Black in HDR" and this thing shines like a champ displaying this content. It's just a incredible television and at this price and size there is NOTHING that can compare. Get it, you will not be disappointed!

I replaced a 7 year old 60 inch 1080p LG plasma TV that still worked well with this Amazing 75" 4K UHD TV with HDR and built in Roku for only $1299 plus tax and $299 for the Best buy Geek Squad 5 year warranty. WOW that's a great deal. I compared this TV to several others in this price range and well above, read tons of reviews good and not so good on best buy, walmart, amazon and watched lots of you tube reviews. After all of my research and 3 months of owning this TV I have NO regreats about buying this awesome TV. The picture quality is stunning in 4K with HDR. Watching anything in 4K looks amazing. The built in Roku system works perfect, fast, and user friendly. The only negative thing I can say about this TV is the sound, the TV speakers are not very loud. I would recommend adding a sound bar or Surround sound system.

TCL 75R615 I love this TV, and for the price I believe its a great value. I had a "want list" and this TV checked off every box: ROKU (LOVE ROKU), Full array backlight, HDR, at least 3 HDMI, affordable, and hopefuly when I set it up to my liking, a rich beautiful display. I do not have any of that "banding" issue on my set that some reviews referred to. The cons are minor: TV is a bit thick, the bezel looks nice but a tad on the wide side, would prefer 4 (not 3) HDMI, my model (615, not 617) doesnt have headphone jack on remote (but u can use phone app to do the headphone trick) and theres some common issues I see in so many NON-OLED tvs, such as some flashlighting, and some light corner bleed (not sure I have the tech terms for this) . But after tweaking the settings to how I like them, the image quality is superior to my last set (Sharp Aquos 65") and the flaws are not noticiable unless you are looking very hard for flaws. At the price point, I doubt you'll find a better TV. High end quality at a budget end price. And although I use a sound bar, the internal speakers were suprisingly good.

I was a little apprehensive when i first got this TV. It has surpassed all of my expectations and then some. I love the picture this TV gives, and expecially the 4K and HDR. Things look lifelike. I mean it looks like you could reach out and touch things on screen. Just amazed with this TV. It is just as good as Samsung and Sony, you just don't have to pay those other brands higher price tag! Great buy for sure! Highly recommended!!
