My previous recorder was failing. Finalizing a disk was almost impossible! From the moment I started using the TEAC CD Recorder, I couldn’t believe the difference! It ran quicker, smoother with very little setup. Best of all, finalizing disks is now a snap - like 15 - 20 seconds! Love it! I’m very satisfied with this purchase!

Replaced my old unit with this one for corporate use, the unit allows for recording voices through the sound system directly to a cd. The unit can play various formats from a cd as well. I wish it would have the ability to record to a usb since cds are slowly becoming obsolete. Not many to choose from but something better than nothing.

The machine is easy to use. The instructions are simple and straightforward, Further, it produces high quality recordings. I can discern little difference between the sound source and the copy. The product should be in any audiophile's inventory of sound equipment.

Like vinyl, the CD is not dead. To be sure, I enjoy listening to "streaming" music (I have several internet radios and two receivers equipped with internet tuners) as well as the several thousand songs I have on my laptops available to me, but...
Again, as with vinyl, there is a tactile experience to be had and enjoyed with CDs and this Teac plays to that sensation well. It is also a superb player, period. I do not listen to "equipment", I listen to music being played by and through equipment. If I can hear a difference, then there is something wrong with the equipment and this Teac CD player conveys nothing but the joy of the music.
If you're looking for an excellent single disc player with the added convenience of also being able to record and the rarity of a variable headphone output built in to the unit, look no further than this player. You don't even have to hook up to a stereo and speakers, just plug in your headphones, set the level and enjoy the music.
Highly recommended.

This replaced a player that had died in my vintage 80s stereo rack. I loved that it included features like starting a new track after a set period of silence. It took reading the manual (which I rarely do) to see how to make it do this magic.
The recording was decent, but had some analog hiss I didn't expect. The mechanism itself is kind of loud too, but I'm overall happy with this thing for the price.

This unit shares many design and build characteristics as its semi-professional cousin the Tascam CD recorder, at half the cost. The only drawback I've found is the VU meter has fewer elements, so it's less graduated in it's readout. Nonetheless, it's built to last.

Not quite as easy as my old Sony cd recorder, but it just takes a little more time to get use to. One advantage is that it finalized much faster than my Sony.

Was needing a way to transfer recorded music from my new TASCAM DR-05 to hear myself playing bass. It is very easy to use and is extremely useful for my purpose, and band rehearsals.

This is a great cd and recorder and value was also good. CD players are hard to find sometimes and was so happy the Best Buy had them and not so expensive. I still can’t figure out how to record, but that is not a big issue for me.
