It will protect your phone...

However, in comparison to the Otterbox defender it was a little bulkier. Also the area where the main camera is located is cut off and more exposed than the Otterbox defender case. With that said I like the fact that you can see what color your iPhone is. The material felt sturdy in my hands. If you wanna try a newer/different case then opt for this one.
