Technics Turntables are not what they used to be.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This turn table has been a GREAT disappointment. The tone arm lift that has been a customer complaint for years has not been fixed. My platter has a machining defect that makes the platter look like it is wobbling, although it is not. I sent them a video of the defect and have gotten ridiculous responses. For example in one reply "...The dots are timing marks used with the strobe to adjust the pitch (rotation speed)..." Do you see any timing "dots" on this table? You cannot get a phone number to talk to a customer representative. It must all be by email. Although Youtube reviews may rate the table well, I am so sorry I purchased it and and even more sorry I suggested it to my friends. $3300 expectations not met, but, looks like $300 table while spinning records. I am a 40 year long time fan of Technics but no longer!! YOU CAN SPEND $3300 ELSEWHERE AND GET SO MUCH MORE!!

Posted .Hello! Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding the SL-1300G turntable. We are truly sorry to hear that your experience has not met your expectations, particularly given your long-standing support for the Technics brand. It's important to note that wobble can indeed occur in turntables and is considered a normal characteristic. Minor wobble does not significantly impact playback quality and is within expected parameters. If your record playback remains unaffected by the wobble, it is not a critical issue requiring service. Please ensure that the platter mat in use is the original factory-provided one rather than a third-party alternative. If you have concerns about the performance of your turntable and seek further reassurance, we advise seeking professional assistance from one of our authorized service centers. -C

Wunderbar
