Jeff Minter reworked his PS Vita classic TxK, which was based on his Tempest 2000 release on Atari Jaguar, into an official Tempest game available on multiple platforms! This is an addicting fast paced high score chasing game that while quite challenging at times, is immensely fun to play! The music is the classic CD soundtrack to Tempest 2000 which means it's amazing 90s electronic goodness. Great gameplay, bangin music, and classic Jeff Minter psychedelic visuals make this a MUST PLAY for fans of Tempest or classic arcade titles.

Fantastically trippy update of a classic arcade game that I loved playing in the 80s.

Reminds me of back in the day where the arcade was where you spent most of the day when your momma would come looking for you with the belt. Lol love it can play all day but I have to work lol

What can I say really other then if you enjoyed the classic tempest then you’ll like an updated version of it, I mean for the price you can’t go wrong.

If you’re on this page, you should just go ahead and order the game. It’s a physical copy of a title I’d normally have to break out my Saturn to play, so this was an instant purchase for the collection. The original Tempest 2000 soundtrack has been preserved, so that’s a huge plus. I do wish this had an options menu. I’d like to tweak the controls a tiny bit, but they’re easy enough to adapt to.

If you have played any of Jeff Minters modern Tempest games you know what you are getting into. Addictive, fast paced arcade action mixed with crazy visuals and pulsing audio.i think the peak was his Txk on PS Vita, but this one plays just fine and is a must own for any lover of retro arcade games.

If you're a fan of classic shoot 'em ups & Atari, you're likely a fan of Tempest, and if you're a fan of Tempest at all, you're going to love Tempest 4000. This is a very challenging game that will melt up mind & eyeballs, but it's so worth it.

Tempest 4000 is a triumphant return to the grid. If you are a fan of this series, you will not be disappointed. My only complaint is that I wish this new title had been released as a collection, including the original, 2000, and 3000.

This game is old school.So the new generation might not be able to wrap the idea of how to play this game unless the get into the action right away.But it is a game that van be enjoyed for hours.

I bought it for my grandsons, so I haven't played it myself My grandsons are age 6 and 10, they both enjoy this game and they play it quite often

Bought this for $6 in a clearance. If you've played the first Tempests, you'll know what going on here. Cool game and great value for the price I got it at. :)

The classic is back again, and ready to burn a lot of your time! This is a really nice version of Tempest. If anybody is a fan of the series, buy it. No questions asked.

Wonderful modern reboot of a loved classic, very fun, challenging and holds true to the original Tempest Arcade game!

This is a fun game of Tempest 2000 with a fresh coat of paint. Missed opportunities though in visual and audio which Tempest X on the PlayStation does a better job. Still a Buy It though

I love me some shooters and this is a different take on the genre.
