The Showdown outdid themselves on this album. Every song is hard hitting with great lyrics and catchy riffs. They do some very good solos on here too. I love the first record but they do this style so much better. If you have not checked them out yet, start out with this album. Strange thing about the showdown each album sounds different. So someone who likes this one might not like one of the others. One is deathcore, another one is metalcore and this one is hard rock. So do some research on them first. For me i love the showdown and each one of thier cds. Each one has a unique sound and all are amazing. So check them out there is something different for everyone with all thier records.

My husband loved the 1st Showdown cd, I didn't really get into it, then they came out with this one, I heard it and immediately had to have my own copy!! I absolutely LOVE it!! I know its different from the 1st and that might dissapoint some, but I think people need to give this cd a try! Its great metal music with amazing vocals and thought provoking lyrics, what more could you ask for! ( I saw them live for the first time last month and they rocked just as hard with the new stuff as the older stuff) I'm off to the store to buy my 6th copy of this cd, I keep buying them for friends as gifts!!

I loved The Showdown's first album. When I got this CD, I imagined it to be a lot like the first, will the screaming and heavy music. If this is what you are expecting, you will be disappointed as well. This is a softer version of their first album. A much much softer version. Their are no screams, and the heavy sounds just have seem to left. Pick up the first album instead of this one.
