Just okay version of And Then There Were None

Slight adaptation of Agatha Christie’s famous novel “And Then There Were None”. This time, instead of an island or desert setting, the director Alan Birkinshaw, and producer Harry Allan Towers have set this film in Africa. The performances by most of the cast are okay, with Donald Pleasence really being the standout. The film is very old fashioned and certainly one of the weaker incarnations of Christie’s wonderful story. The biggest problem here, is the musical score by George S. Clinton. It is so overly melodramatic, that it is distracting the viewer from both the acting and story. Not great, but still enjoyable.
