In my pursuit to own the tenchi muyo series in its entirety, I was not aware of this interpretation of this series. Interested to see how this plays out.

Genre: Action, Fantasy, Comedy Length: Episodes 8-13, 271 minutes "Young Kenshi Masaki has his hands full catering to the whims of an entire academy of flirtatious cuties, but a darkness looms on the horizon that will soon cast his life into chaos. The mysterious and enchanting Doll, controlled from afar by a power hungry madman, leads an unthinkable invasion that attacks the nubile students of the academy from inside its once protective walls. To save his bevy of galactic playmates, Kenshi must summon the power of a Sacred Mechanoid and fight to preserve peace in a world that hovers on the brink of destruction. Should he survive, Kenshi will be mobbed by a hoard of comely coeds who want to make the hero their husband!" Part 1 ended with a giant fortress looming over the academy and Part 2 starts off with a large-scale invasion. The academy has been overrun and it's up to Kenshi and the ladies to try to save the day. Doll's identity is revealed...little bit of a shocker with this one. Kenshi adds all of the academy to his harem...not a shocker. It's a battle royale as the fate of the world is at risk...and all our hero wants to do is dig up crystals. As the description kind of plays out at the end, this series is sitll about the comedy and harem aspects. It does a pretty good job of adding in some drama when it needs to to drive the plot further. At the same time, there are some issues that are never really resolved. Is Kenshi going to stay on this new-found world or will he try to go home? Loved this series and watched it through in one sitting for each volume. Great action, huge harem, tons of humor, mechs, and great music, too. Definitely a worthwhile pickup for everyone!
