The antenna didn’t work. In defense of the product, we live behind mountains. We returned the product and had an amplified rooftop antenna installed by a professional and that did the trick. We have 65 over the air digital channels coming in crystal clear. FREE TV. Someone without mountainous interference would be better suited for the indoor antenna.

We purchased two. Both tvs pick up several channels with the HD antenna, but it goes in/out so much you can’t really watch without major frustration! We put both in the windows too, To help with reception but it doesn’t matter. Works great in middle of the night....I guess I would recommend but just know that the reception is not the best.

I am 20 miles from the Towers and use indoors. Brings in one channel in my home. I am using it outside its range as an indoor antenna. Getting it up higher would improve. I also have trees in the area which hinders signal. Do not expect miracles. I am using this outside its application.

The TERK - Indoor Flat Amplified HDTV Antenna has brought multiple improvements in my life. First, the installation was so simple, it's hardly fair to call it "installation." It was easy to hook up and easy to position. After reading the directions, I thought I would have to mount it on a north-facing window, since that's the direction of local tv towers. While I was trying to figure out how to mount it on the window, I sat it on a counter in a west-facing window, and it still worked perfectly. Furthermore, the signal is spectacular, bringing a crisp, vibrant picture. So I felt pretty handy and techy having accomplished this. But the best part is that I'm not paying AT&T monthly fees for their satellite reception which invariably failed if there was a raindrop falling or a breeze wisping by. It is hugely gratifying to have this handy, not-too-ugly, throw back of a product helping me every day.

If you can point it right at the mountain that is broadcasting the signal it works great, just make sure it is near a window as it starts to break up when you have it behind walls. If you can get an outdoor antenna and mount it on your roof.

My mom lives in an apartment so we thought this would work since it has a long range. There are times when it does work and others when it doesn’t. And weather is not the factor so that is the strange part. Not completely sure we will keep it. We are trying to cut the cord but my mom needs her local tv.

As far as indoor TV antennas go Terk is definitely one most should seek out. They've established a reputation that's well earned and their products very rarely disappoint. But the thing is their so well established in that regard that most places crank up the price because of. It's basically the equivalent of getting a Sony or Samsung TV in that everyone knows their the best out there and have been for several years. This particular antenna typically go's for $80 at Best Buy where this specific model is exclusive to Best Buy, a very comparable Terk antenna most other places is around $60, so if you can catch this on sale it is worth it. I found it recently on sale for $65 and seeing as that's a very competitive price and it is marginally better than the aforementioned comparable models elsewhere (basically 55+ mile range vs 65+ mile range) I decided to grab one. Like with all other previous Terk TV antennas I've had this one is amazing at getting loads of channels and is being used on my main TV. It's definitely doing far better than my RCA antenna in my bedroom, but that's not a fair comparison as that was only $30 model. But one kinda has to compare to get a reasonably accurate analysis of something. In this case it just goes back to being expensive. In this comparison if you just get a mediocre $30 antenna then you'll probably only be able to get 10-12 channels, but spend a bit more of a known premium model and I for one am currently getting 37 channels, roughly 3 times as many as the budget priced model. In the end if you do get a budget priced model odds are you'll want to upgrade eventually. And this is an excellent upgrade or a great starting point.

The area requires an outdoor directional antenna mounted at least above the first floor. Circumstances prevent such therefore this antenna's sensitivity needed higher amplification than was provided by the included amplifier. Many detected channels therefore break down, do not hold.

It's antenna works very well! We are receiving high quality HD channels that we're not coming through with our old antenna. However, we are still not receiving channel 12 (NBC)... still, we are happy with the purchase to receive good reception of basic channels!

This probably would be really good if I was in the city or a bit closer to the stations I wanted to get. I could get them, but not reliably. I returned this item, since it did not consistently and clearly receive the channels I was looking for. On the products side, I am near the limit of it's advertised range and the stations I did get were clear.

It said that it would get most of the channels available and I even asked the salesperson. I only get 3 channels and even then, not very well reception. I've tried everything it said to do-put up on a highest point, try moving it around etc. but if it's cloudy out it doesn't work. Kind of a waste of $80.
