Using this indoor antenna in the middle of the dwelling, not close to any window. Disappointed in its performance as a 360 multidirectional antenna. I wouldn't buy another one.

We had purchased a previous antenna and couldn't get a good signal, So we decided to upgrade to this model. We had to play with where to set the antenna. The store salesman recommended siting it by a window/outside wall for better reception. Both this model and the previous model stated that the antenna wouldn't lose reception during storms. Well we can only get a hand full of TV stations and have a lot of trouble with the signals fading in and out even on the local stations. We are really disappointed because we had hoped for a better quality antenna.

Works better than the Ultra Thin Antenna

I am currently using two of these, one is in the basement. It is not perfect (especially the one in the basement, but is better than the rabbit ear type or the ultra thin type. In the basement, I get most of the minor channels and all four of the major ones. We have a little trouble with one of the major ones, but again, that is in the basement. Easy set-up. You might have to move it around a little to get the best reception.

Was amazed at the number of channels available and the quality of the signals. Only gave 4 stars because the reception was temperamental and sometimes went in and out for no apparent reason

Although a little bulky but light and moved around a few times to get the best signal and most channels I am impressed. A little more expensive.

Barely picks up local stations only 32 miles away

A slick looking antenna, advertised as being able to pull in signals from as far as 65 miles away, that actually only manages about half that range in my location. I used the "Signal Diagnosis" app on my Sony 4K Smart TV to adjust the orientation and placement of my Terk antenna. Once I found the right spot, it doesn't drift very often. Still can't get the same signal strength with all the local channels, even though they ALL have their antennas on the same mountain, with 200 yards of each other. But, 90% of the time, it still pulls 'em in, as long as the signal strength is above 40% on the app.

I just picked up a 43" Sony XBR43X800D UHD TV this afternoon for our bedroom. I decided i wanted to pull in some OTA channels because sometimes D*TV will lose it's signal if it's snowing hard. I noticed the Antenna's Direct (CSM1-XG) which has received favorable reviews here & other websites that on sale & thought about buying it.. I bought into the marketing hype with the 65 mile range on the Terk box. We're about 32+ miles away from the Boston/Denham towers according to AntennaWeb.org I've purchased @ least 4-5 other OTA over the years & none of them did very well. I hooked-up the Terk & did a scan & came back 20 minutes later & too my amazement, I received 28 stations most with very strong signals. I really wasn't expecting much & thought I would be returning it. Here's he thing, I still might. The issue is that the two screws that install into the base. No matter how I tried (using both manual & powered screwdrivers) the screws will only descend half way. Their simply stuck & won't go any further. I might try hanging it on the wall (maybe) I really wanted the unit on it's base upright. Indoor antennas can be tricky. They work for some & not for others. It's all based on your location & interference. I'm shocked I did so well because I'm not in a favorable spot. It's working very well for me.

The antenna brings in more channels than the cheapest RCA model but still does not bring in all the local channels. Furthermore, many of the channels it does bring in freeze and pixelate. Surely there has to be a better antenna out there somewhere.

This antenna has worked okay for us so far. We do need to move it from time to time to pick up a better signal. We get the main network stations and PBS stations pretty well. With it, along with DirectTV Now, we have been cut free from cable TV.

I actually bought this antenna because my daughter has one and her's works well in her location. This didn't work as well on the set for which I bought it, but did for another and I was able to switch the two antennas with a satisfactory outcome on both. Unless you are able to use an outdoor or attic mounted antenna, finding an indoor one that works is a crap shoot. It worked out for me but might not for someone else. You have to try another if it doesn't.

I'm giving it 4 stars because the 3 channels picked up were good quality. We have many mountains and trees around and are about 40 miles from the city. Had to return it.

The antenna packaging and its actual performance do not line up - its claims and actual performance vary. Its range is not what they claim. Its a nice looking antenna and has an easy to use stand, but it wont hold up outside very well.

Sleek & stylish works great through storms. We have more channels than we expected, about 30. We had another brand and upgraded to this model. Couldn’t be happier.

I believe I am limited in the quality of the signal since I'm using this antenna in a townhome. If I lived in a single family home, I believe the quality of signal would be better. I only live about 15 miles from downtown (where the broadcast signals originate from but I still don't get an uninterrupted signal for all channels. I do like the look/feel of the unit.

Bought this hoping for better picture quality and more channels than a non powered leaf $8.00 antenna. It worked exactly the same. Guess it might be worth it in rural areas

This antenna works great most of time but for some reason during the hours of 5 -7 p.m I have to adjust it due to the picture momentarily pixelating off an on while watching CBS news which I believe may be more related to the CBS signal than the antenna itself. Overall it operates fine and it provides a super clear picture. I would have given it 5 stars if not for the problem with CBS.

Sometimes this antenna pulls in channels and sometimes it doesn't. Then, sometimes a channel will come in for a little while and then turns to pixels. Hard to watch a complete newscast. Funny thing is, a channel from Japan always comes in! When the channel does come in, however, it is crystal clear. I think if I was still in my return window, I would probably return it for a refund.
